Happy birthday Bexley!!!! It's normal for them to throw their food at this stage. I used plates and bowls with suction cups and if my grandkids threw food, I'd remove their plate for a minute or 2. Didn't take them long to figure out of they threw food out was taken away.

If you want her to stop throwing her food you just take the food away as soon as she throws it. Tell him firmly NO! It’s OK to be firm! Make her wait a minute or 2 before you give her her food back if she is not done! She really is a little doll and looks just like her pretty Momma!

Hopefully she will work out that holding on to her food is preferable, but stringing the cause and effect and how to change the natural consequence for herself may take a while. This is why easily cleanable floors are a must when you’ve got babies and toddlers.

He thought it was super funny to throw food for the dog. My advice is..... patience!! Baby's do all sorts of things to see how we react ( and test our patience!! 🤣) If it gets too much.... turn your back. No reaction gets boring to a child. It's totally normal for her to throw her food/toys on the floor it teaches babies about gravity. Also now is a really good time for playing peekaboo and hiding some toys so she learns that when things go away they can come back
Totally normal at her age for her to throw her food. She is learning cause and effect, so she is seeing that once she throws it, it doesn’t come back up unless someone picks it up……then you have fun with THAT game of them laughing and doing it on purpose for you to pick it up again 😂 such a fun age lol!

Then I would add more if they wanted more and weren’t throwing. I never punished them. Don’t make a big deal out of it and she won’t think it’s funny or a way to get a reaction.
