i’m george in our schools production and the first time i ever tap danced is when i had to learn this song. i’ve improved nicely, but this takes a lot more skill than what we choreographed
It was a common term in the 20’s, extremely outdated let’s say but not usually intended in a harmful way (AT THE TIME), usually the reference gets a decently humorous audience reaction in the context of the entire ridiculousness of the 20’s parody. Not trying to completely defend it as I personally wouldn’t be comfortable saying it, but just some further explanation
