I've seen all kinds of fidgeting people do during interviews, but scratching bare right foot is a new one. I'll consider doing it next time I interview someone.
I like how this turned from an "interview with an IOS engineer" to a "I kinda wanna get to know you better" type video. lmao I legit wanted to know how she became an IOS engineer.
Nice interview. thank you for sharing your what your hobbies are, and you make me feel that its normal to start something and get tired of it after :) Can relate a little bit too. maybe devs really easily get bored of something that is repetitive :D
My school has a Software Engineering class is basically in Java and you create a team and build an Android app. You learn ideation to final product presentations, coding, cost analysis, etc. seems cool. then after that, their is a mobile programming class as well, which i am sure has android and iOS stuff. those classes have me very excited but i was confused if they would be enough. Mayuko makes it easy to alleviate some stress.
What do you think about Jordan Peterson's reasoning behind why there aren't as many women in tech as there are men? I'm genuinely curious about your perspective regarding it.
how did you synchronize that thumbs up so perfectly!? and LOLLL you didn't want to be rude so you didn't correct Mayuko. Enjoyed this vid, Joma!! I LOVE ALL YOUR LIVE STREAMS TOO
I’m an iOS developer too, i love iOS programming and swift is my favourite programming language too, but I really don’t know why mayuko loves Xcode so much.. as an editor, it doesn’t have some cool features that for example android studio does. It has a lot of strange bugs, it crashes a lot of times, storyboards are slow... apple added some new stuff in Xcode 10, but it seems that they never do bug fixing
"Xcode is like any IDE, it can be really finicky" No, Mayuko, Visual Studio _just works_. Only Xcode is that bad. It has an average review of around 2 stars out of 5, with 100,000s of votes. Xcode ties with iTunes as the wosrt software ever written. Incomprehensible, no hover (tooltips) to discover functionality, constant crashing, new versions can take _days_ to download. It's a disgrace for a tech company to release that steaming pile.
Speaking of Kobe, do you know that actually Kobe Bryant's father named Kobe Kobe because after he ate Kobe beef, he really liked it and then decided to name his son Kobe? I learned this from a Japanese TV show at a hotel in Kobe when I studied abroad there. ( this is not a tongue twister about Kobe)
u r awesome utuber, thank u for all ur information, today morning i saw ur some videos and i became ur fan, pls do more videos, themes are how to become... ( android developer, ios developer)... all about for programmers
Mayuko: “You know I was really good at math and my parents taught me the multiplication charts early on” Joma: “oh yaaaa! My parents tooo” Me: Are they just realizing how Asian they are?! 😂🥺
Joma you are so relaxed during your interviews, no socks even, wish you would interview also the big shots in like Elon Musk and George Hotz. This is your next step forward.
I'm a software engineer, Android & iOS developer, but the thing I related the most during this interview was the part where you started talking about Neopets, I just freaked out haha. You brought back a lot of good memories. Great interview!
I think engineering techniques can be come when we try for coding else it difficult to find the way to choose your root for chasing in life either as a software engineer or other one ....
Why did I like this so much - this was helpful, awesome and wholesome - very honest opinions - oh I understand now - this is kind of conversation I have with my friends working in another company or technology and we meet after sometime and want to know more about each others work (nerd alert - sorry 😁🤓)
Since I'm more of a Windows guy (Idk, I like C#'s syntax a lot plus Mac's are pricy), I'm liking Xamarin Forms. It's a nifty way of streamlining Android, iOS and Windows Phone logic (since Windows Phone is pretty much dead, I probably won't worry about that). I got a used Macbook Pro back in November for Black Friday specifically to run an iOS build once I can get my mobile app working, but it kind of hates me right now.
Same for me with Android. I'm too used to Android environment to change. Even though changing would affect me very little since I mostly use Google services (sure some apps I'll have to rebuy like Runtastic, but for the most part it's the same).
I wish UCSD’s CS major is as open now as it was back then because right now it’s so capped that UCSD students have to petition into the major by lottery 😩
Asking an iOS developer if she prefers mac or pc, android or iphone and whats her favorite programming language? Nice

I really lolled hard!

Ever heard about Richard Stallman?
Mayuko is super eloquent and chill. This is my favorite interview in the series.
I genuinely enjoyed watching this, im really looking forward to future content!
Looks like Joma just woke up and started recording this video hahahaha
You two should collaborate and start a start up project. You guys have a lot of great ideas and have a passion to see it through.
are you sponsored by Adidas Joma?
I appreciate your toe dancing in front of a lady programmer.

Hi Jessica!!! 😆
hey mayuko! :D
What do you think about Jordan Peterson's reasoning behind why there aren't as many women in tech as there are men? I'm genuinely curious about your perspective regarding it.
"And love seeing more women in tech" What does that mean? D: Any women can join!
You are very passionate about what you are doing. I love the video. It is absolutely inspiring me to continue coding
The confidence this guy has is off the bar|line|pie charts. Interview with a fine lady barefoot? We're not worthy!!!!
The dude is Asian, it's probably a shoes-off home.
Haha. They are close to each other.
@Elyy Skill How do you know that?
