      I was on the fence like you, bought it thinking I might return it. Now it's the main peice of hardware I use. The speaker and battery come in very handy. Like others said you get much more than you pay for. MPC live2 works very well with other gear. Lastly, I'm in the process of selling 4 pieces of gear bc the MPC does their job and does it better.

    Hey bro thanks for the awesome drum session helped a lot , only question when you start nudging things around , the sample chops then go out of time and it sounds a mess especially jazz or funk samples that have soft drums , I try and filter as much as I can , but it all sounds like a world of kicks and snares floating all over the place , and then it doesn’t loop properly , quantize seems to keep things tight with your sample chops. But sounds robotic and straight .
    Great tutorial though bro , I just can’t get it to work with the samples.
    Practice makes perfect I suppose .

    Hey, so I’ve been looking to buy an Mpc live mk1 or an mpc one and I do not know which one I really want or which one I should get. I would use it in the studio and as a portable machine so I would have to get a battery for the Mpc one. I was originally going to go with the live 1 but just recently I realized how big it was. I would just pull the trigger on the One but i am used to bigger pads and I think I would much rather prefer them but I do not know. With your experience with both, what do you think?

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 года назад

      Wow, this question is so good and I just finished a video today on an awesome small portable battery for the mpc one which makes it pretty portable, video should be out by Sunday.
      The MPC One is amazing and I love everything about it but in order to make it portable you need to have that external battery with a usb power cable attached to it which means a few extra things you need to lug around vs the mpc live, you literally can just walk out the door with it and be done, with that being said I do have to agree that the LIVE is pretty heavy and big but it is built like a tank and feels so solid. The mpc one is also a solid machine but it is a bit more plastic which makes it light weight and portable. I live bother machines so much but if I had to choose one it would be the LIVE.

    Ever mess with swing number within the timing correct window? Do you have a number you prefer? I was always curious if there was a specific number that could replicate the swing of the 3000 or 2000xl. I typically leave mine between 50 - 54.

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 года назад +1

    • @olxs__
      @olxs__ 2 года назад +1

      @@malobeats Sorry to correct you, but the absolute option snaps to grid as you mentioned, on the other hand, the relative option moves a midi event depending on your TC (1/4, 1/8, etc) without snapping to the grid. So for example if you have a snare hit that is hitting a lil behind the beat and you like it there but need to move it a quarter of a note it will preserve the swing

      Thank you for this question as I am planning a video specifically on how I feel my RUclips videos. I use a Zoom H6 for my microphone and my stereo output of my MPC so that is a total of three channels and I record those three channels separately on the SD card of the zoom H6, I am also recording the scratch audio from my camera which sounds horrible but I end up sinking all of these channels in final cup pro which takes me about 15 seconds to sync then I’ll delete my camera audio and keep my zoom H6 audio which sounds amazing. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense but I’m definitely going to be working on a video on this topic very soon
