We saved £2 coins for years. Was well over £2000 worth when we took them to the bank. Never knew there was edition coins. Got quite a few hundred quids worth in a bottle now in the cupboard. Think I'll go check them now.
idk why but this was so soothing and his voice reminds me of old childhood minecraft youtubers for some reason?? I miss the simple times :( its comforting
This is not really an interest of mine and was randomly suggested by RUclips, but there is something really satisfying and endearing about watching someone engage in their hobbies rather contently. New suscriber here 😃
I would like them to do a 4 coin dog set English bull terrier to represent England, Irish Terrier to represent Ireland, Welsh Terrier to represent Wales and a Scottish Terrier to represent Scotland.
Every now and again I get recommended something out of the ordinary. Last time it was "The lock picking lawyer" and I am still addicted to his channel. I suspect this one may be similar.
I noticed that too, at 5.38 on the video when he lines up 'standing' you can see both the '+" signs just to the left...they are not in the same place on the rims. I don't know anything about coins, so I am not sure if this is significant, but it certainly looked different to me.
I think your 2015 coin might be a die proofing coin. These are used to check dies before using them, but the coins are not washed or tumbled after they are struck.
First time i've come across these videos. Is it me or is this soothing to watch? I'm fascinated, so much so I hit the 'subscribe' button. I collect £2 coins myself.
Hi; Very interesting. I decided to collect £2 coins when I found 3 different ones in my pocket about a month ago. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across your RUclips channel. can I ask you a cupel of daft questions, when did the £2 coin first cum out, and wear do you get all of your coins from, that you sort through ? Keep up the good work, all the best, BOB.
Just found your channel and I love it. Also just found a Shakespeare £2 coin in my purse...It's the skull one dated 2016...your one is dated 2015...does it make a difference in value ?
What is the rearest 1990s £2 coin when I was a child my father bought them from a magazine for £5 each we had twelve we no longer have them but if we did what would the be worth
Articles online says all post 1997 £2 coins are only worth face value and pre 1997 coins are worthless and can't be spent in shops and can't be cashed in at banks.
Yeah interesting. We are saving £2 coins but not for collection just trying to fill a very large jar. I’m gonna look through and if I find the one you need I’ll ship it to ya
50p rare coins seem to be a lot easier to find for me. I do have a few of the £2 coins you found there though. I also got a big 5 new pence coin in my change once which I thought was a 10p coin.
Hey! Just found your video, I really enjoyed it. I sometimes help my friends, who owns a parking company, count coins and putting them in those small bags. From now on I’m going to look more closely!
I was very lucky with some change given to me in B&Q. Four two pound coins and they all are 2016 William Shakespeare and they are worth more than face value. Its thanks to watching this dude that I'm kinda getting into coin collecting.
I think I have a very rare error £2 coin in my collection I think it’s the first of its kind. The last two digits of the year are printed on but they look a bit off and if you look at from a angle you can see that they aren’t printed properly also if you run your finger across them you can’t feel them as if they aren’t printed. I also have another £2 coin which I like too call the queen wiv a booger Cose the queen head has extra dye on the nose.
First: Go to Britain if not already Second: go to a bank and get a small amount of coins Third: slowly increase the value of the order Fourth: then you have a bag of £500 in £2 And done!
If you like hunting coins by looking at their edges for errors, try the Native American $1 coins from the US. There are some errors where the edge lettering is missing so no year nor mint shows.
❤️❤️hi Chris I think the 2015 technology is a fake the edge description should be slightly to the right hand side the fake looks quite straight I think is fake
Seriously though, people name calling, this tells me that you wish you had a collection like this that’s why you watched it in the first place. Sick collecy
When I was growing up in the sixties you could pick a lot of coins out of your change, even 60's Lizzie II coins...the prooflike 1961 half crown for one. It was a way to get into coin collecting and make a few pounds . The two pound coin which he thinks is strange is a copy...from a mile off !
How are you finding it that now actual money is getting rarer and rarer? I collect, 10p, 50p and £2 coins and I've struggled to get anything new since June/July. In January I landed a Kew Gardens 50p completely by accident.
The universe works in strange ways. I literally came across this video on Guy Fawkes Day, so I was surprised to see 1605 on the coin knowing it’s significance. Being here in California, the only £2 coins I’ve come across were rejects at a CoinStar machine.
I have a commonwealth games Scotland 1986 £2 coin my parents have to my son as a keepsake when he was 4. Is this worth anything? It's brand new from the bank had never been used.
Hey Christopher, I have watched most of your videos, proper kool and very educational, so thanks. I do have one £2 coin that I would love your opinion on if possible? Is there any way we can convert somehow?
Hi Christopher, very interesting to watch & learn. Where do you get your sealed £500 £2 coins from? Banks? If so do you just go in with £500 in notes & ask to swap for coins?
@R Williams Yes exactly. I unsubscribed with this guy because he doesn't seem to look through the comments left & reply were neccessary. I found another collector I prefer, who does takes the time to look through the comments left on the vlogs & reply, thus engaging with his subscribers much better.
Well spotted matey The moody one I in the last 5 yrs have started collecting Speedway signed photo s Which led to Rider caps and trying to put together a collection of speedway tracks Badges Kind of one from each track Closed ones as well KEEP it up mate you started young Good move
Great hunt Chris, not sure about your Matt coin seems it’s a weak strike on a blank that was prepared very well, which makes think it’s a fake but can’t be sure
Probably a stupid question.....what happens next with the fake coins? Do you take them back to the bank and let them know (seeing as your videos are proof of where they came from)? Do you just add them to the returns in a "not my problem" kind of way or do you spend them in shops. There must be so many fake coins out there? Thanks.
It’s a Sunday. Never had an interest in coin collecting and yet I’m watching these episodes back to back. Great content. Subscribed. 👍
🤣👍
Frfr I just sit thinking I've spent a £250 coin on a drink
That's how I started!!!
Same bruh
Aye a dont know wats wrong wi me either😂
Not sure why I am so fascinated watching someone else collecting coins, you do make it very interesting and informative, thanks, Gary 👍 😁
Hi ssr
Yo p
Exactly the same thing I was thinking
@@Norwichjase good s
Good Good
I've never watched a video like this ever and to be honest I kinda like it
Hi
You should try 'pimple poppers'.....then again, maybe don't...
I never realised just how much fun looking for collectible coins could be ....I’m more into spending them than collecting.
Why the hell am i watching all of these videos back to back? No interest in coins or stamps but cant stop watching these! Fab please continue
We saved £2 coins for years. Was well over £2000 worth when we took them to the bank. Never knew there was edition coins. Got quite a few hundred quids worth in a bottle now in the cupboard. Think I'll go check them now.
Hope you find something awesome!
I love collecting coins as well
idk why but this was so soothing and his voice reminds me of old childhood minecraft youtubers for some reason?? I miss the simple times :( its comforting
Some coins get battered around in a washing machine or tumble drier. Hence rough edges. 😊
This is not really an interest of mine and was randomly suggested by RUclips, but there is something really satisfying and endearing about watching someone engage in their hobbies rather contently. New suscriber here 😃
Agreed lol I have watched 3 of these now.
Any info about the Brunel £2 piece with a miss stamp Two Dounds 2017 --- Dounds not Pounds.
I would like them to do a 4 coin dog set English bull terrier to represent England, Irish Terrier to represent Ireland, Welsh Terrier to represent Wales and a Scottish Terrier to represent Scotland.
Think your the only person that would ever want this
Every now and again I get recommended something out of the ordinary. Last time it was "The lock picking lawyer" and I am still addicted to his channel. I suspect this one may be similar.
Also was suggested the lock picking lawyer, which I am now subbed too.
"is one side heavier then the other?"
???
You've finally cracked. I'll go get the jacket. 😂
Lovely Shakespeare's set 👍
Christopher, re-check the milling. The '+' sign was not aligned with the reference 2015 £2 coin you used.
I noticed that too, at 5.38 on the video when he lines up 'standing' you can see both the '+" signs just to the left...they are not in the same place on the rims. I don't know anything about coins, so I am not sure if this is significant, but it certainly looked different to me.
Why not weigh the 2015 coin majority of fakes weigh completely wrong .
I think your 2015 coin might be a die proofing coin. These are used to check dies before using them, but the coins are not washed or tumbled after they are struck.

Perfect Speech.
Recently released is a tongue twister, but try to say at speed.
‘i wish to wash i my irish wrist watch.’
Great hunt, Chris!😉👍Definitely missing the Sunday afternoon hunts. Hope you're doing well & staying safe, buddy!🍻👊
just stumbled across this channel, it appeals to my inner geek. ive got about £1500 in £2 coins that i'll now end up mooching through!!!

the dodgy 2015 one is a Chinese fake - there was a whole load that year - I found a Mary Rose one with the wrong date on it
Just found your channel and I love it.
Also just found a Shakespeare £2 coin in my purse...It's the skull one dated 2016...your one is dated 2015...does it make a difference in value ?
Take a closer look at the gear cogs on the fake, They are incomplete.
I love this, I was having a hard day but watching someone do something they live makes me happier

Some really nice finds in the hunt Christopher especially my favourite GFOL 🔥. Well done on completing the Shakespeare set also 😊.
@3:55 you say you hav a soft spot for boats on ships. I think you meant to say boats on £2 coins :)
Yeah interesting. We are saving £2 coins but not for collection just trying to fill a very large jar. I’m gonna look through and if I find the one you need I’ll ship it to ya
Ooooh imagine what you might find
Daniel Radcliffe does coin collecting. Also, vid is like unintentional ASMR.
😆😆😆
The speed you evaluate is truly astounding, as is the time it took to spot the "fake" - Subbed
Hi ssr
This is the kinda guy I want to be best mates with.
Hey Chris i have albums full of £2 all of which have miss strikes, off centre flaws or inverted the writing😄😄
really interesting pass time. I wonder where you get your coins from (a bank i assume) AND what the future holds in these cashless days.
Long way off digital will still exist with cash according to government.
Used to do this at work! Old school £1 coins I love it
What a fabulous bottom row! and I would say it’s real. Stay safe fella
I don’t know how I ended up here, but I really enjoyed this, hope you find the coin you’re looking for man!

Brilliant Video All The Best Of Health To You And Good luck.
I hope you find the 007 coin mate. But what do you do with your duplicate special £2 coins?
Your knowledge of UK coins is remarkable
Didn't even know that there are such coins in England. I collect 2 euro coins ;)
Hold the coins with two fingers.. two pound at the top and date at the bottom.
Spin it over and Queen should be strait
Love it when i find a special coin in my change 😄
what happens if you find a fake? - can you exchange it for real money or is it just bad luck??.
I think I have a very rare error £2 coin in my collection I think it’s the first of its kind.

Seriously though, people name calling, this tells me that you wish you had a collection like this that’s why you watched it in the first place. Sick collecy
You can buy fake two pound coins for 1 quid in Edinburgh. They work in gambling machines shops even banks take them.
Broke open my 2018 BU set the edges of the £2 coins, even more noticeable with the Frankenstein, we rough, sharp even
Where is the best place to buy packs of coins the bank or post office also will there always be 50ps in circulation??
Boats on ships always cracks me up 🤣🤣

I like collecting coins it is my life of hobbies thx for letting me know the tips and tricks
hey Christopher, could you do a video on how you collect these coins
I've got a gold two pounds coin with the dove of peace on one side. Is it worth much do you think?
Probably worth £2
I’ll give you an old quid for it towards the end of next year when a £2 coin is worth less than 2pence in today’s terms
That sharp coin looks quite good if it was a fake. Keep us updated on it 👍🏼💯

Part of my collection of coins are 2 pound coins from 1986 and 1996. The 1996 2 pound coin has a football desgin
I think Hilda Ogden should replace the queen on ALL coins.
Hi Christopher, very interesting to watch & learn.
Where do you get your sealed £500 £2 coins from?
Banks? If so do you just go in with £500 in notes & ask to swap for coins?

could be that the 2015 was polished and the face worn down making it sharp around the edges 🤔
It could be a bit of grease in the die, well done on the Shakespeare trio....like old days right buddy great video 🥋🥋👍
Great finds👌 £2 coin looks like it may of been put through the washing machine 👍

How do you order your coins? I've been going to my bank but they are not very keen on giving the amount I asked for in 50p or 10p or £2 coins.
I've got the world war 1 £2 coin but its got a different engraving not the ship

As a newbie im sure you've said befor but what is the rarest £2 and what's it worth
