Minecraft is a sandbox video game created by Swedish game developer Markus Persson and released by Mojang in 2011. It is playable ofc look at the ending, but depends in your specs.

The water update in e8 was so good I spent hours building an underwater base on my survival just so I could look at the new underwater lighting that whole time. SE does a really good job of making the water look and feel like water.

man my problem is when i start up minecraft and if if it doesn't crash, the shadows are green. everywhere the shadows are green. in house, in cave and at night, green shadow.

Agree. I love how E8 casts not only shadows like the previous versions, but also reflections (seen in the scene with the various colored glass panes).
Honestly the versions are pretty much confusing. On the official SEUS download page (not patreon), there are 3 versions labeled: SEUS Renewed v1.0.0, SEUS (Legacy) v11 and SEUS Ultra v10.2 Preview 1 (this one gives me error, my guess is I'm missing something/my graphics card doesn't support it? I'm seeing only white screen , when trying it). Are the E5 to E8 patreon exclusive? Though the Renewed looks a lot like the E5, both lacking the water wavey effects, that's why I'm using the Legacy one.
@@Croftice1 Correct. E5-E8 Are exclusive to his patreon. They're still work in progress, anyone who wants it early can buy a subscription to get them. SUES said they'll be free for anyone once they are finished!

@@jelleposthuma8786 You can run this at 50-60fps on a GTX 1060 if you put the render quality to 0.7x. Only issue with that is that things in the distance will look slightly blurry (although it's not too noticeable).

If only minecraft was a tiny bit more optimized this would be great. Sadly, now you need a quantum machine to run this game with some decent shaders.
It's because it was written in Java, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition(which was written in C++) has much better performance
Because noone wants to use Windows 10 edition. It runs 2-3 times better, than java edition
@@michel333alfa-kun3 even though it was written in C++ which performs better than Java, none wants to use it because EVERYTHING is on the java edition, the whole modding community etc.
Bedrock will never gain traction in the PC world
@@HomerAndRoe It really isn't, they need to focus on an update that is primarily for modding and catering towards their userbase's creativity. But it still won't gain traction unless they can make the java mods hook into bedrock. Nobody is going to move over with all of the community stuck on the other side

how are you getting these framerates? when i install Seus Ptgi my game drops to like 32 fps on a 1080 ti even with just the main effect enabled
It has to do with tweaking, but I'd love to know his settings too, I have the same issue.
i have a 1060 and get 30 fps. try lowering your chunks a little and disable some useless crap
I have a 1070 and I can hit 60FPS with occasional/frequent dips to 50FPS at ~1080p with render distance at 8. Maybe try matching my resolution or render distance and see if you maintain 60?
Raytracing length shouldn’t be more than medium. Also mind our view distance.
I play on a 2060 at 1440p and get about 30 - 50 fps with 16 hunk render distance (and you have to keep in mind that seus ptgi is purely software based which means no utilization of rt cores).

Minecraft is such a unique game it really shows what is possible in the digital world it truly amazes me. I mean this is not just about Minecraft it’s about the future of all gaming and the true capabilities of technology and just how far we have become to make a simple block building game with no real goal and to turn it into the most beautiful game I have ever seen. Minecraft is truly something else.

Have you also noticed a problem with low res shadows from the glass blocks in E8 ?
And the sunrise, before E7, has better colors in my opinion.
Thanks Rudy :) haven’t tested much on grass block as I still don’t have it done completely but i noticed the sunset change. I kinda like both in its own way. Though E8 does seem to have a bit stronger lighting.

I like minecraft shader.But I don't really want the "very realistic" shader.I like shader that make your/block shadow.
Also I like wavy water,smoth sky,round sun.
Sildur's is pretty fast and does pretty much all of that, and you can turn on cel shading so it looks cartoony

Yeah my 2060 run it between 37-58 fps at normal world, and minimum 27fps when raining and looking at sand
E5 and E6 looks nice in their own way, though honestly E5 looks pretty sick.
