- Motorway Cops deal with excuses every day and today is no exception. When cops pull over a driver with a suspected dodgy insurance they are told lie after lie until they have to resort to taking the driver’s fingerprints just to get his name.
A driver clocks over a tonne on the M62 but claims his stomach is to blame and he needs to get to a loo urgently. A prolific burglar in Hull is caught red handed but swears he’s innocent much to the disbelief of the cops. In Bradford a drunk driver tries to convince the cops to join him on a night out after failing a roadside breath test. And a high speed pursuit for PC’s Andy Barron and Lindsey Pickles leads to a surprising major drugs haul.
It's the most intense police series ever!

"You don't have to put your hands up - this isn't America" 🤣
This is why the UK wil always be better than USA! If I have to choose between a career criminal and a pig (police) in a lift in America. I would choose the criminal anydays !!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Makes my stomach hurt when the person in the left side seat turns their head to the camera for a long time, I expect the car to crash…seems so wrong to have the steering wheel in the right..
@@johncspine2787I see the steering on the left and accept that fact, Don't go thinking it's safer, Because it makes no difference what side of the road you drive on, Standards are pretty dismal everywhere
that guy who went over 110 in an '03 focus should've gotten a medal, how do you manage to go that fast in a stock focus?!
Up a fuckin hill 😂
That seems odd. Steal a watch (I'm not defending doing it) you get 2yrs and 4 mths. Drive dangerously, uninsured and put peoples lives at risk, you get points (on a license you may not have anyway), a fine, maybe a ban and possibly a suspended sentence. Does that mean that a ladies watch is worth more in the eyes of the law than public safety on the roads?
Likely to do with the fact that he has a very, very long list of previous offenses.
We save our sense for gun laws
Burglary is an intrusive crime leaving victims distressed and is often associated with violence. It’s classed as a serious crime.
so true..madness laws
Maybe it’s the fact he’s been snooping around someone’s house and smashed a window to gain entry ie burglary
I'm an expat, and here in Germany you have to carry your driving licence with you!
It's a no-brainer!
in England we don't have to carry anything , no reason to either
How are you an expat don't understand your an immigrant in that country 🤔
I don't carry anything other than my phone or bank card, Germany sounds fucked.
@@NoPill4meActually, you do. S163 and 164 of the road traffic act require you to produce your ID when asked by a constable. Also S50 of the police reform act if youre believed to be involved in anti social behaviour you gotta give details.

i love how the burglary guy protests his innocence. 47:56 "i don't do burglaries now, that is gods honest truth" oh alright then pal may as well let you go
From the moment he opened his mouth it was comical, I wonder if he saw this would he realize how dumb he is.

Are you serious?
'How did that watch end up in your pocket?'
'Oh mate, I sat on it by mistake!' (genuinely serious)
This made my cheeks hurt XD
And his! 🤣
Reminds me of "How did you get pregnant?" "I sat on a toilet" 😆
"What's this bag with a dollar sign on it?"
"That's me manbag, mate!"
The burglar gets 10/10 for effort. Never stopped coming up with excuses, some of them quite inventive. And the cops know that "God's honest truth" = "Yeah, okay, you got me." 🤣
15 points, managed to keep his licence so of course the best thing to do is ride round on an expired licence in a scrap heap with bald tyres on red diesel. Tosspot needs locking up
'Tosspot' love it. Someone at work called someone a bellend last week, I was very impressed with the old school terminology. Tosspot and Bellend, brilliant.

I have zero sympathy for anyone who makes the silly decision to get in car with no insurance & a provisional licence.

Ppl getting caught drunk driving always make me want to have a nice glass of wine and watch some more..from the safety and comfort of my Cody couch…
love the fact when they say about the burglar has realised his fate is sealed they show a cop car pulling up with the last 3 digits of the numberplate as OOF
If you drink and drive you should be locked up, if you speed and are drive dangerously then you should have your license taken away and automatic 12 months sentence, breaking into someone’s house causing them anxiety and the threat of danger to themselves you should be automatically locked up. None of these people should have gotten away with fines or points with the severity of their crimes. Doing 50 in a 40 then ok fine them and give a hefty amount of points the first time but if caught again total ban and time to be served. The uk is too lenient on crime these days. Speaking from experience of being burgled and having property and vehicles written off due to drink and drug driving it’s disgusting what people get away with.

I had NO idea about spark plugs !
Criminals already knew that, though... it's common knowledge and wouldn't be news to anyone breaking into houses or cars. You can also just carry one of the small glass breaking tools.
Respect the actions UK police take in a pursuit of a potential criminal, not like Arkansas police pursuits where they have no respect for human life, be it civilians or the alleged speeding drivers.
Great content, BTW
Arkansas has had the good sense to legalise Cannabis. That isn't even on the radar yet in the UK. Look at all the valuable cop time that was wasted on the titillating find of a van full of marijuana plants.

I have been watching these videos for a while now, and not one time did the person have a driver's license on them. Is it not required to carry one in the UK?
nope, its not a legal requirement as the police can check on their database - saying that though, most people do have it in their wallet or on their person
No
After the 1940s and Germanys whole id badge and shower setup, we decided now to be so hung up on carrying id
Cannabis is fortunately now becoming legal again in country after country. Its a medicine, well respected for thousands of years until it competed with BigPharma.
It's mandatory in South Africa to carry your driver's license with you when operating a vehicle. You get fined hefty if you don't have it on you

In the USA, many states have no vehicle inspection other than an occasional smog test. Lots of car owners disconnect the catalytic converter, they're stolen or they've sold it for $, cars fall apart & can barely rumble down the road. Not enough space on the harddrive
Everyone that the cops stop says, “I just got the car yesterday/last week/ this morning.”
100 mph in Germany - my country - is just chill out speed, sometimes even in rush hour. :-D
As a canadian your cops are so much nicer than ours. I also don't see why carrying you drivers license isn't mandatory, but hey, what do i know, im the redheaded stepchild of the uk.

Well done to our gallant blue crew. I still cannot understand why or how these drivers think they can get away with it, if i had so much as a library overdue the 'Old Bill' would be waiting for me at the end of our drive.

My thoughts as well!! Those fines and sentences are absurdly low!! I guess that's one way to keep the populations of their jails and prisons low!
That's how its run, it keeps the gravy train going for the taxpayer to foot the bill for the "public servants" , that's why they release them all the time...to start the money grab again the next day.
@@xo2quilt It cost on average £40,000 a year ( based on CAT C) to keep a prisoner locked up. That money could be better spend on things like health care

How do people not have their drivers license on them when driving? If you have a legitimate license one would think that having it on you while driving would save you some unnecessary hassle.
Nice question 🙋 🙋
It costs money to replace it, so it stays at home unless it is needed
It’s a weird feature of the law that whilst you don’t necessarily have to carry your driving licence, the police can stop any road vehicle and do checks including requesting your licence.
Practically most of the drivers I know do carry their licence with them, given that you can easily fit it into a purse or wallet. However if you don’t have it then police usually ask if you have anything with your name on it, including a credit or debit card. I got pulled over one time and it happened to be one of the few times I didn’t have my licence. I ended up showing them my scuba diving certification card, as it was the sole thing I had with my name on it. This and my birth date meant they were able to do checks, and I was on my way within a short while.
In the USA you have to have your driver's license on you if you are driving. The only time I've driven without my license was when I was driving from a field on our farm to the house when hubby needed something. The sheriff's deputies know most everyone in the county so it's not an issue.

In Canada licence, insurance and registration papers must be made available to police on site if requested. If not provided the driver can be fined. None of that ridiculous nonsense of two officers spending an hour trying to determine the identity of a low-life lying scofflaw. All patrol cars should have the finger print machine.

Uninsured should be a jail sentence
Jail?? For no insurance?!! Give over lol
In a lot of countries, New Zealand being one, insurance is non compulsory. Should all those uninsured drivers be in jail?.. no insurance is not life threatening
Insurance isn't compulsory in South Africa either, but in this country it is stupid to drive uninsured simply because of the types of drivers we have here and the states of the roads.

Two football pitches to stop at 100Mph is absolute BS, in an old car with all drum brakes maybe but not in a modern car. From 100Mph I can certainly slow down inside the length of a single football pitch in an average modern family hatchback. The stopping distances is way out of date as modern cars are significantly better in braking technology along with better tyre designs and features like ABS and TCS as standard these days. Highway code figures were first published over 40 years when I checked unless that's changed recently, car technology has come a hell of a long way since then.
30mph law started in 1935 when cars couldant stop,,now they want 20
so true . even a full football pitch is taking it a bit far
Not to mention stability control, I literally cannot make my 17 year old Volvo lose grip, I can absolutely fly around bends and not lose traction. The driver is always the biggest risk, not the car.
They often include reaction time in "stopping distance" averaged at 2 seconds to see, process and react. Then the time for the reaction to happen. That makes two football pitches at 100MPH seem so much more reasonable considering what you say is technically true.
The only reason they don't update it is so they can be alarmist.

I get the speeding, but wasting police and public resources on cannabis is a joke, when we can legally buy a massive amount of alcohol legally. I'd love to see the health risk between alcohol and ganja. But then again alcohol is so heavily taxed. Work it out for your selves. Then we get the police being tax collectors for red diesel. @@MUFC1933 What brand of car? My Honda's cruise control was on the steering wheel by the horn (buttons) and so easy to use. My Toyota and my husband's Dodge are both an extra stick on the right lower side of the steering wheel below the wiper controls...a bit more difficult to get used to. The Honda would keep the cruise control on (whether I used it or not) until I turned it off, but the Toyota and Dodge both need to be turned on after turning on the trucks. Look at the car manual or take it to a dealer and have them show you how to use it (easiest way!).

Red diesel is always used by shoddy looking vehicles. i think if it was sound and you drive good they won't pull you over
