Waibu, located in Jayapura Regency, is traditionally known for sago and root vegetables. Papua is currently seeing a shift towards local cultivation in leafy greens, driven by the initiatives of young farmers. These agricultural innovations are supported by the Indonesian government through Papua Youth Creative hub, an ecosystem managed by the state intelligence agency to empower all youths across the region.
