One possible idea for why Morty is only a Morty and why many people like him could be based on the concept of relatability and emotional connection. Here's a brain-stormed explanation: Relatable Everyman: Morty is intentionally portrayed as an average, insecure teenager who often finds himself in over his head. This relatability makes him a character that viewers can easily identify with and root for. Many people remember their own teenage struggles, making Morty's experiences resonate with them. Character Growth Potential: Despite his initial timidness, Morty has shown moments of bravery and growth throughout the series. This evolution makes viewers invested in his journey and hopeful for his development as a character. We often want to see characters like Morty overcome obstacles and become more confident versions of themselves, mirroring our own desires for personal growth. Moral Compass: Morty is often seen as the moral compass in the show, questioning Rick's questionable actions and offering a more grounded perspective. This positions Morty as a sympathetic character who represents the audience's own sense of ethics. We may appreciate his ability to challenge the morally ambiguous nature of the show's universe. Underdog Appeal: Morty is frequently placed in situations where he is pitted against powerful beings or complex dilemmas. The audience may find themselves rooting for him as the underdog, hoping he can overcome these challenges and achieve success against all odds. This underdog appeal taps into the universal human tendency to support the "little guy." Comic Relief: Morty often provides comedic moments through his awkwardness and naive reactions to the absurd situations he encounters. His comedic role lightens the tone of the show and offers amusement to the audience. We may appreciate Morty's ability to bring humor and entertainment to the narrative. These are just some brainstormed ideas to explain why Morty is only a Morty and why many people have an affinity for his character. Remember, these are fictional characters and audience preferences can vary greatly, influenced by personal tastes and interpretations.
Morty at first was shown to be a little slow. Now we know he is sharper than expected and he as a killer. Where as 'evil Morty' is a rare brilliant one.
yup. it definitely puts many of us in a conflict of continuing to watch a show that has either shaped many of us and or played a huge part in our lives, or completely detaching from said show. iv personally been a fan since season one and have collected various amounts of merch and funko pops. iv spent countless amount of money on said things and have dedicated personal time to reading into the lore and shaping my own ideas on what i believe is happening. the shows played a huge part in my teenage years and later on, my adult hood. now i have to sit and think if i can even separate the art from the artist. in this case, justin is the art. he is what makes rick and morty, rick and morty. he’s been deeply involved with the evolution of this show so i can’t even figure out if it’s possible to separate justins actions from the show.
@@jasmine666_ I'm on the other side of the spectrum, as I've only recently gotten into Rick and Morty. I liked the show a lot, and I finished watching its latest episodes really quickly. I'm finding it hard to fathom that this show I grew to enjoy was made in big part by a guy who's done terrible things. I think I'm sad about the large amounts of people who are going to leave the fandom, those that don't want to be reminded of what he did, and I can't blame them. I just want to enjoy the art and forget about everything, but even when you separate the art from it's artist, you still have to be award of the biases that could've slipped into the end material. I love the characters or Rick, Morty, and Korvo (From solar opposites if you haven't watched) and when I was watching solar opposites I realized that 'hey! Korvo kind of sounds like Rick" and now I'm sad that he sounds like Rick, hell I'm sad Rick sounds like Rick.
I wanted to like Season 6, but I just thought it was okay. The show felt a bit more predictable this season, which really sucks because the unpredictability of Rick and Morty is what makes early episodes so good. The humor also just doesn’t hit like it used to. I almost think the long delays between seasons made for better episodes.
Yeah after what we found out I’m pretty sure Adult Swim wouldn’t want anything to do with Roiland. Like I try to separate art from artist when I can but like Idek if I can watch the show after hearing the shit he did
I hope that a future episode of R&M is entirely LEGO Stop-Motion or CGI meant to look like LEGO Stop-Motion, because I love that idea. It’s probably why “Brick Like Me” is my favorite Episode of The Simpsons.
For someone who really hates the incest jokes, you sure did love to have an unnecessarily long rant about it plus multiple mentions of it throughout the video
The fortune cookie explenation could be that rick prime created a "you will become immortal" cookie which either turned him immortal or is protecting him until he figures that out in which case he is immortal regardless
I just wish they didn't close the tear in the finite curve with fucking dinosaurs. Maybe rickest rick will do the same as evil Morty did. Also why tf kill off original Jerry. He had so much potential
I liked the idea about rick prime having the fortune of 'creating the best you'. maybe he, just as our rick, wants to die but he can't, that's why he forces every rick to have portal travel, searching for ricks who could possibly be better than him, for a rick who could surpass him, become the best rick, and kill him once and for all. this doesn't really explain his personality but maybe her just likes to engage in mild to moderate amounts of tomfoolery
35:00 "luckily"? Oh no no no no NOTHING Rick gets done, gets or does has ANYTHING to do with luck; as he mentions in the very next episode when jerry and beth end it
I think I am the only one that disliked season 6, it just wasnt really for me or my brother considering we were expecting more lore..not the gross shit that happened that was probably due to the co-creator and creator of Rick And Morty... (ex: Space Beth and Regular Beth, Jerry and his mom) Overall though, I enjoyed the first and last episodes of the season and hope to see more of Evil Morty and Prime Rick
1:15:54 What if Rick Prime is the only Rick that did time travel? That would be a funny play off the writers saying they never wanted to do time travel
Alright so evil Morty isn't ricks original grandson because beth died with Diane so he's just a version of Morty that killed his Rick and tagged along in one of the episodes of season 7 witch is s7 ep5
I think prime Rick immortality has something with finite curve. The more Ricks he could get to port travel increased the finite curve. That would increase his vitality and life force.
The fortune cookie episode is my favourite of all time it has everything a Rick and morty episode needs. An interesting sci-fi concept, weird out of pocket moments and interesting characters
A great concept that I just won’t watch again because the Jerry and his mom plotline was just shocking for the sake of being shocking. It was terrible.
@@syntheticreality549Well. Rick did make the decision to save Jerry over his desire for power. So there's more to it than just shock value. YOU GUYS SPEAKING AT THE SAME TIME THROWS ME OFF AND I CANT FOCUS ON THE DIALOGUE, AHHHH
I love your KH music throughout bb, keep up the great work :)
great video! watched the whole thing in the background while revising :DD
1:53:40 what happened here, why are the voices overlapping lmao
No you should not quit it may be hard as a RUclipsr myself, by all means you should keep going
look Morty, I turned myself into a Felon, I'm Felon Rick!!!!
One possible idea for why Morty is only a Morty and why many people like him could be based on the concept of relatability and emotional connection. Here's a brain-stormed explanation:
Relatable Everyman: Morty is intentionally portrayed as an average, insecure teenager who often finds himself in over his head.
This underdog appeal taps into the universal human tendency to support the "little guy."
Comic Relief: Morty often provides comedic moments through his awkwardness and naive reactions to the absurd situations he encounters.
Umm...So, feel like this needs to be addressed now I think.
With the Justin Roiland thing happening, I'm mourning a loss of an era of Rick and Morty, as well as Solar Opposites y'know?
yup. it definitely puts many of us in a conflict of continuing to watch a show that has either shaped many of us and or played a huge part in our lives, or completely detaching from said show. iv personally been a fan since season one and have collected various amounts of merch and funko pops. iv spent countless amount of money on said things and have dedicated personal time to reading into the lore and shaping my own ideas on what i believe is happening. the shows played a huge part in my teenage years and later on, my adult hood. now i have to sit and think if i can even separate the art from the artist. in this case, justin is the art. he is what makes rick and morty, rick and morty. he’s been deeply involved with the evolution of this show so i can’t even figure out if it’s possible to separate justins actions from the show.
Most of the video was good but I couldn't finish it. The overlapping voices toward the end made my head hurt x.x
Ooooo a long video. Saving this for work 👌🏾
Is anyone going to talk about the voice overlap? Was there something I'm missing? Please fix it
I'm like really weirded out by it
It was great! Finally felt like a full season.
my favorite season so far, cant wait for season 7
Lmao
💀
Yeah after what we found out I’m pretty sure Adult Swim wouldn’t want anything to do with Roiland. Like I try to separate art from artist when I can but like Idek if I can watch the show after hearing the shit he did
@@crustpunkjesuschrist allegedly but yeah, even the possibility makes it hard to watch
@@crustpunkjesuschrist they fired him probably old voice recordings for the lines or a new actor
The BEST Season of The Simpsons, was Season 6!
I hope that a future episode of R&M is entirely LEGO Stop-Motion or CGI meant to look like LEGO Stop-Motion, because I love that idea. It’s probably why “Brick Like Me” is my favorite Episode of The Simpsons.
So basically when morty gets the fragment back, evil morty is born.
For someone who really hates the incest jokes, you sure did love to have an unnecessarily long rant about it plus multiple mentions of it throughout the video
1:21:05 gotta love those callBacks to Season 1
Funny to see how strong of a reaction Jerry's fortune brought out in you! I just thought of it as a silly Oedipus reference tbh
50:46 The show has brought up
“Family love” a couple of times
Somebody in the writers room is definitely into that
I mean anyone who uses pornhub can see that step-fantasy is a huge tag nowtodays
Nicely done young man.
2 hour Roundtable video! Woo!
2 hour video yesss plz
i still miss the show man because it's no longer on Netflix. life sucks man
This sound s like I'm trying to trick u but I'm not this is how I watched it I anit thos ppl that put random links in yt videos
I watched it on KissCartoon. After you get the ep started tho, don't touch anything! Lots of (probably malware) ads on that site.
Get a vpn, all episodes are available in Australia
Take a drink every time this kid says "alludes to."
why are there two audios - yall- my god
Why do you think? Human error.
Since the Curve has already been broken for so long, Rick can still travel in reality behind the Curve
10:30, 11:00 28:24, 28:32, 53:19, 56:06, 57:10, 58:14
The whole “Rick prime resolved in 10 seasons” 👀
I liked the idea about rick prime having the fortune of 'creating the best you'. maybe he, just as our rick, wants to die but he can't, that's why he forces every rick to have portal travel, searching for ricks who could possibly be better than him, for a rick who could surpass him, become the best rick, and kill him once and for all. this doesn't really explain his personality but maybe her just likes to engage in mild to moderate amounts of tomfoolery
That sonic ost was a perfect transition
35:00 "luckily"? Oh no no no no
NOTHING Rick gets done, gets or does has ANYTHING to do with luck; as he mentions in the very next episode when jerry and beth end it
I think I am the only one that disliked season 6, it just wasnt really for me or my brother considering we were expecting more lore..not the gross shit that happened that was probably due to the co-creator and creator of Rick And Morty... (ex: Space Beth and Regular Beth, Jerry and his mom) Overall though, I enjoyed the first and last episodes of the season and hope to see more of Evil Morty and Prime Rick
1:15:54
What if Rick Prime is the only Rick that did time travel? That would be a funny play off the writers saying they never wanted to do time travel
Alright so evil Morty isn't ricks original grandson because beth died with Diane so he's just a version of Morty that killed his Rick and tagged along in one of the episodes of season 7 witch is s7 ep5
I agree 100% with your summation of all the incestuallity, that's a perfectly cromulant word🤣 Great videos brother 🤙🤙🤠🐊
The first episode and the Dinosaur episodes were easily my favorite!
The VVVVVV soundtrack being used is based. I respect you for it.
I’m on edible and was freaking out lol
'Evil' Morty and our Rick technically speaking should be allies.
It’s “over the line” but this is my favorite show for a reason everything is fake this is refreshing I think it’s hilarious
I feel like the Rick of my family so I mean it’s hilarious to me idc what they do I just think it’s funny that they’re the only guys who kan do it
I think prime Rick immortality has something with finite curve.
Especially after how things were left between the two after the Whirly Dirly. It was a ridiculous and shocking situation they used to advance the dynamic between Rick and Jerry.
@@PantherophisG I can appreciate a lot of the aspects of the episodes but I’m just done with making excuses for the incest jokes.
Wait I figured it out. Give me a second. Here it is. Space Beth prime, Rick Morty's girlfriend and I'm thinking Phoenix man is going to be the final group of villains versus the family
