Hello Chris, I enjoy your vids. I'm a 72 y.o. retired nurse, and now full-time artist, and I love it. My grandson introduced me to your vids, he and I spent hours enjoying your comments about your work, and watching you. He had difficulty reading and writing, through your vids and narration and description of what and whys, and me asking him questions he started doing research on his own, (His grandfather was a heavy-equipment operator/diesel -engineer), sadly our grandson barely remembers him. He has since graduated from school, has joined the Marines, and guess what, he runs heavy equipment, he asked me if I still watch your vids, I say, "Of course I do"., which is absolutely true, after hours of painting, i rest my mind and arm by watching you work your butt off, and I know we only see less then half what you do. Thank you for helping me help my wonderful grandson.
Chris, you did a video awhile back on how to get into the excavating business where you related you family background as your pathway into the business. Unfortunately many kids don’t have that opportunity but through your videos and parents/grandparents like Fanny that are supportive, you provide the path they need. We need more people in the trades making high quality informative videos like yours to open opportunities for the next generation of tradespeople. Keep up the good work.
Man Chris, you do good work, looks really good, all your jobsites look awesome, pride in your work, it shows, Id work for you any day, no short cuts, everything is done right, I respect that bud, thanks for sharing.
Karen can't complain about this job. Very nice. The finishing of this job would have frustrated me a lot, you handled it very well and it looks great. A lesson for all, pride and integrity, there is no substitute... Love your videos . Thanks for taking the time out of a busy schedule to share them with us.
This is ridiculous. The precision of your work with that bucket is amazing to watch. It’s more precise that what most would do with their hands. Great job.
Having the right equipment and knowing a bloke with topsoil will have made this job easier I am sure. Enjoyed all the videos of this job bro. Ya'll stay safe
Man, That Rock, Fabric, and Wood it just gets tedious as hell after awhile messing with that mess !! lolololol... It all turned out nice as always Chris !! Great Job....Have a Great Evening Man......
Not like the good ole days. When you got to hand load wheel barrels and wheel the topsoil from wherever you could stockpile it. Grate with flat head shovels and raked. Be right back. Time for my back pain medicine.
Excellent job well done as expected! Fine workmanship and an eye for detail as I've seen in no other! Who ever mentored you was a master! Thank you for your time and talent I greatly appreciate it.
I watch all these other operators on Utube and not one of them compares to you CHRIS, you’re probably the best operator I’ve ever seen on all of your equipment! Keep on Digging Brother! I enjoy all your videos!
Think you may have been quicker with a garden rake and a broom to tidy up the edges ! It seemed more trouble than it was worth to use the digger. Would have got you out in the fresh air as well !! lol Great looking job in the end as usual though Chris.
That's the worst time. Is when you are at you friends place having fun making a mess. Then it's time to clean up. It is amazing how little things actually change from childhood to adulthood. Chris is that kid who has the Legos. Everyone else who can't afford Legos is getting Mega Blocks. Mega Blocks work. Just not as well and don't fit together as well. Lol God bless
Chris I bet you miss old Tim about now coming behind you with that flat shovel scrape in that dirt off of that concrete. Lol. Great video man keep them coming
Nice job, always complete with no short cuts. Looks great. Would like to see some time laps of the more repetitive parts, think you would get more complete views in stead of people jumping to see the end results.
Get a piece of chain link fence with a couple of blocks on it and just keep dragging along behind you after dumping dirt. Will smooth out dirt and you don't have to worry about hitting new concrete with bucket. Then use blower to clean off sidewalk.
San Antonio has pretty much built a large sidewalk (Trail) around the city. They trench the edges, rebar inside, & fill with concrete. Basically, in the shape of a staple (upside down U). It is so strong, any excavator can run on it.
Some nice touches in this video. There was 'I don' need no stinkn' grader' with the Yanma (and Chris) doing a stand out job of leveling off the top soil. There was the distracting added features towards the end with the truck pulling up in the background, and us the viewers, all wondering is that Tim or John, or WTH is it bombing a Letsdig18 video. There was the Letsdig18 fan who stopped to watch while its human slave waited patiently. And it all looked neat and tidy by the end of the video with us the viewers all wishing we could see how it looked two months from now when the grass has grown?
Must have been a Good Boy visiting the site 26:10. What I've seen the most interested of your work until this day, Chris! :D Please do a follow-up sight-seeing on this also at later time if you have chance to do it.
Interesting to see a machine with a thumb and tilt.. I have a powertilt already, and a tilt rotator is too expensive so building a simple thumb would be a nice project. They are not very common in Sweden as most have tilt rotators here.
Another awesome job done by you sir. Your work is really impressive, and I always look forward to seeing your videos in the evening.. I noticed the past few videos you're working alone, do you still have your crew?
Chris, have you thought about getting labourers from your local temp services so you would not have to pay someone like Tim to watch you work, just get them for broom and shovel work when needed?
will we ever see Chris use a hand tool shovel, rake or a broom ,,next he will make a broom unit to replace the bucket on the mini , then he will use a york rake and make it fit too ...

fanny hadeen ,,,, good for you sir! Nothing wrong with getting dirt at work,,,,, soaps cheap! 🇨🇱🇨🇱
Fanny how cool a story is that..... all the best to both you and your grandson (thank you for your service) ... and of course Chris as well
Great story Fanny, all the best to you and your family members.

I have to admire your ability to do the fussy work. That's the sort of stuff that would drive me crazy. You are a patient man. And skilled.
I agree and would add that it helps immensely to have the right tools for the job.
Wonder if they considered using a mini articulated wheel loader.
.......also I admire how you care for your equipment, and attention to detail, another great lesson for the grandson.
Your Skill Level with Operating your Equipment is Over the Top, Unbelievable. Great 👍 job, Chris!
Well done Chris with this Job, A Lot of patience doing the Pond and finishing the path way. Absolutely the videos from Australia
Man Chris, you do good work, looks really good, all your jobsites look awesome, pride in your work, it shows, Id work for you any day, no short cuts, everything is done right, I respect that bud, thanks for sharing.

I don't know why ... but I enjoy watching these videos immensely. It amazes me that you can pick up that cloth with a square bucket!
This is ridiculous. The precision of your work with that bucket is amazing to watch. It’s more precise that what most would do with their hands. Great job.
Another fine job done by Letsdig18 😎👍🇺🇸
Having the right equipment and knowing a bloke with topsoil will have made this job easier I am sure. Enjoyed all the videos of this job bro. Ya'll stay safe
That gravel, wood and fabric made a lot of extra work. And still had to repour walk. Good lesson for us viewers
There’s NO Slowdown in Excavating Business in NC. They’re Working Chris and his Equipment.👍
Always amazes me how good you are with that bucket... like an extension of your own arms. good job.
Karen said you missed some dirt on the sidewalk :) lol hahahaha great Job .
Nice to see the end result of all your hard work on this sight
Excellent job well done as expected! Fine workmanship and an eye for detail as I've seen in no other! Who ever mentored you was a master! Thank you for your time and talent I greatly appreciate it.
I like watching you work with the mini and the grading bucket, I like how it turns in all different angles! Cool
I watch all these other operators on Utube and not one of them compares to you CHRIS, you’re probably the best operator I’ve ever seen on all of your equipment! Keep on Digging Brother! I enjoy all your videos!
Looks great Chris enjoyed watching
That Kubota is just like mine. I love it! So agile, i could not do this farm without it!
Seems like the perfect tool for the job. Nice work
Great camera angle and mount on the mini!!!! And, of course great job by the master operator too !!!
Hey Chris, that takes a lot more patience than I have! Looking good brother
WOW great job.....................But you have got to go back and show it all greened in. Going to look amazing!
Excellent job Chris 👍
Beautiful job Chris.
You wield the bucket like a surgeon wields a scalpel. :) Thanks for sharing your work with us. take care.
Nice topsoil. It's nice that you know someone that just happened to have some. You sure do wonderful work.
I must say you make the finish work look easy but I know it takes a very good operator to do that. Stay safe
Looks great. Love seeing a job well done.
The smooth move 22, where you tracked forward and spread the topsoil was cool. That topsoil looked familiar. Great job as always.
You're so good with that machine i bet you could stack a set of quarters!
Great job Chris!
Well Chris did you ever feed Tim a sandwich with the mini while he was sitting on the park bench? Man your good. lol
One man crew with many machines!
Great job Chris,I had forgotten about this one, turn out nice👍
Nice... really enjoyed watching you move that bucket as smooth as you do...
ANOTHER fine job done well! Awesome!
Your vid's should be used as an example of "how to do it RIGHT".
Very nice finish, your a master of your craft.
Old tractor still comes in useful!
I’m glad that you have a steady hand around that new concrete . I would have to be replacing new concrete lol
That pond looks great
Think you may have been quicker with a garden rake and a broom to tidy up the edges ! It seemed more trouble than it was worth to use the digger. Would have got you out in the fresh air as well !! lol Great looking job in the end as usual though Chris.
I realise why fabric is laid down first then covered with stone but when clearing up at the end of the job , the fabric becomes a bit of a nightmare .
Seems like quite a waste to me since everything just gets shredded and mixed together anyways.
Yup! Every time he scooped up the fabric, I instinctively touched my pant seams to make sure the ripping sound wasn't from them...
😳😁😂🤣
That's the worst time. Is when you are at you friends place having fun making a mess. Then it's time to clean up. It is amazing how little things actually change from childhood to adulthood. Chris is that kid who has the Legos. Everyone else who can't afford Legos is getting Mega Blocks. Mega Blocks work. Just not as well and don't fit together as well. Lol God bless
I would save all of that stone for some other jobs. You are one hell of a great operator I wish I had 1/8 of the talent you have
Chris I bet you miss old Tim about now coming behind you with that flat shovel scrape in that dirt off of that concrete. Lol. Great video man keep them coming
I got to hand it to you Chris u can operate those machines and mostly u do seem to really enjoy your job ,that is big.Have a good one .
Nice job it looks awesome
Hedblom has fingers on the back of his bucket for picking stuff up, it would have helped picking out that fabric
My 2 favorite excavation channels, Chris right here, and Hedblom👍👍👍👍
And Hedblom has an Engcon tiltrotator on his mini excavator also. Very nice for this type of jobs! Maybe Chris will have it sooner or later?
Nice job, always complete with no short cuts. Looks great. Would like to see some time laps of the more repetitive parts, think you would get more complete views in stead of people jumping to see the end results.
Thanks for sharing ,but want more ponds love ponds🥰👍
I like the use of the smaller ones to make the difference sometimes .
Looks great brother
And nary a chip out the sidewalk. Well done Chris!
I would be afraid of chipping the concrete, you did great dude
i swear you could drive a 16 penny nail in a stud with that machine good work as always
Very very nice work and hello from Hawaii.
Get a piece of chain link fence with a couple of blocks on it and just keep dragging along behind you after dumping dirt. Will smooth out dirt and you don't have to worry about hitting new concrete with bucket. Then use blower to clean off sidewalk.
I’d have that new sidewalk chipped to pieces if that was me , even with the edit button lol
That’s pretty cool how you grade it out with the mini
San Antonio has pretty much built a large sidewalk (Trail) around the city. They trench the edges, rebar inside, & fill with concrete. Basically, in the shape of a staple (upside down U). It is so strong, any excavator can run on it.
Great Job again !!
Awesome stuff! You should film everything and where you normally cut and skip ahead do a time-lapse and speed it way up; that would be cool.
Nice walkway 👍
Rain as usual brother, y’all sure get a lot of rain up there!
18:46 that's a pretty shot of the job, with all your stonework in the back!
Some nice touches in this video. There was 'I don' need no stinkn' grader' with the Yanma (and Chris) doing a stand out job of leveling off the top soil. Again Chris,” a great job” 👍🇬🇧
Another fine job.

I bet Dirt Perfect would pay big money for that Kubota. He has a passion for them! 😁
I just noticed that that isn't a playground, it's a dog agility park. Nice place.
Looks great!
I am about ready to see that mini with an Engcon rototilt! LOL
Interesting to see a machine with a thumb and tilt.. I have a powertilt already, and a tilt rotator is too expensive so building a simple thumb would be a nice project. They are not very common in Sweden as most have tilt rotators here.
Looks like the dog had just became a letsdig18 fan! 😂
What a great job Chris. How often do you have to replace the cutting edge on your grading bucket. 👍👍
good video chris looks good
Excellent job, Sir!
Well done!
Hedblom would be proud.
Another awesome job done by you sir. Your work is really impressive, and I always look forward to seeing your videos in the evening.. I noticed the past few videos you're working alone, do you still have your crew?
Another amazing job done Chris what happened to Tim
Landlord : "Will we need an army with wheelbarrows and rakes to clean that up?"
Chris : Naaah, I'll take care of it. Don't worry.
Done.
that's what I call finesse
Nice work, is that some of the top soil you screened?
Yes, it is
Hopefully there is a way to hookup the thumb while using the grading bucket as a future upgrade for the yanmar
Chris, have you thought about getting labourers from your local temp services so you would not have to pay someone like Tim to watch you work, just get them for broom and shovel work when needed?
not really
Nice job
An other wel job done .
Hey man who makes the best own and operate long reach?
will we ever see Chris use a hand tool shovel, rake or a broom ,,next he will make a broom unit to replace the bucket on the mini , then he will use a york rake and make it fit too ...
"Sweep the sidewalk"???
I didn't see a power sweeper attachment?
That grading bkt has gotta be nice. One of the best things u have bought imo. That turned out nice!!!. What's little dog house lookin thing for?
Now you need to get a stumper attachment for the mini.
