@@wayneanthony1089 Hea very humble and when he was talking about top jockeys he even put Slicer ahead of himself in the rankings, he had Hossbf at the top, then Bimbo, Fanna then Slicer, he left out Bartley and Miller. I know that most people rate Hosang as the best but there was another good jockey name Michael Lee who left Jamaica in the seventies and went to Florida and dominated Calder and was a top rider there and won a few championships, interestingly he set two records and legendary hall of fame jockey Jerry Bailey broke them, Michael Lee won 178 or so races one season and Bailey broke it by winning one more wins then the other record was Michael Lee won 6 races at Gulfdtream Park and Bailey broke it by winning 7

Avery very very good and honest interview with the Canter man. As a past racehorse owner from the great raceplace Caymanas Park I have known Shane from his apprentice days. What I have always admired about Shane, is his humility, dedication, easy approach, friendliness and most of all his respect for all he comes in contact with. For those who asked the question about his father, should listen well. Anyone who mentioned their total admiration for one parent, Mom or Dad, others should take their queue from that as to the role the other parent played .(enough said). Shane is most definitely in the top five best jockeys to have come out of Caymanas Park. Well done Shane and we do look forward towards other classic winners in the future. All the very best for 2025.

Greetings family, very good interview. I am surprised that he did not mention about his father Winston Ellis who was a very good rider in his data and even won a few championships. What he said about that jockeys need to be smart is very true, no disrespect but look at Bimbo and Karl Brown who both ride very aggressive, but Bimbo is heads and shoulders above him, now look at Fanna who is mostly Fanning his way to the winning post and even Dane Nelson said that in one interview that Fanna will be fanning and going East but others are riding vigorously but still nobody can’t past him, jockeys depends on tactics and proper judgement. I wish this young man a very bright and prosperous future, Hess so talented and humble. God bless
