It's wonderful! My old syster had purchased the S7 finally since it's rubber brush rolloer with S7+, which picks up the hairs better than the bristles brush for T9.
thanks for your feedback! We are hearing that the S7 all-rubber roller brush works well with certain types of hair and struggles with other types - glad to hear your sister is finding it better than the bristles!
Great review, very in depth. The T9 is currently on offer at £299 in the UK although thats without the auto empty station. Still fantastic value though!
Lovely to hear an Aussie voice review! I have an old 2nd generation S50 and have been happy with it for then last 4 years ..... zero problems . Now I see there is the auto mopping and self empty options. I will be upgrading to the S7 roborock purely because of the auto mopping function. Great review Thanks.
I guess if there's one time you can get away with calling a Kiwi and Aussie it's probably Anzac weekend... haha! It's great how many of the Roborocks seem to last until they need upgrading - not because they break. The auto-mopping function is a big plus in most homes.
Had been using S7 for years. My floor mixed carpet types and hard floor. So roborock doing well for mixed floor as I don't have to change cleaning compartment. Unlike T10 ecovacs, i have to change the cleaning compartment that does not have mop. So a bit of bummer for me. Wanted to upgrade to Roborock S7 MaxV but it was just too expensive for a robot. 😅
Thank you for the comparison, it's definitely helped make my decision. I really want the s7 because of my rugs and the mopping convenience but I'm going to go for the t9. With a baby and toddler I can never pick up all their toys so it's seems like it'll be less work in the long run 😃
@@RobomateTV thanks! I bought the t9+ on the weekend for $1200 with 3 free services. Very happy so far. My floors are looking spotless and moving it around for moping wasnt hard at all
@@RobomateTV I'm in Australia and I got it from my local Godfrey's. They had it at $1299 full price but took off $100 when I asked for a discount and threw in the free servicing.
Is the Ecovacs t9+ mapping good? Will it know to avoid getting stuck under my dining room table or other pieces of furniture? Can it get to a specific room with ease? I really need a good mapping vacuum. I currently have an irobot i4 which originally only mapped your house to tell you where it cleaned. Then with an update it took that map and allowed you to be able to tell the vacuum which rooms to clean. I feel like irobot has failed at this upgrade horribly. Multiple times it gets lost in my kitchen looking for my living room and it drives my wife crazy. Enough so that she makes me want to throw the vacuum out of my window lol. So to please her and make things easier on myself I really need a great mapping vacuum especially if big objects are add to the room like my new born son's swings or stationary walkers. I feel like the irobot would learn that something is there and then if you move it it would never vacuum that spot or it'd get confused and not know how to get back to the living room. Definitely very irritating. Thank you for your help!
They always travel anti-clockwise around the room so the right side of the robot is always the one closest to the wall. It's arguably slightly better to have 2 but not really a big deal (it's better for some things, worse for others... slight positive overall probably).
They're both great models! It really comes down to which feature you prefer - if you like the mop-raise feature go with the S7. If you like the obstacle avoidance go with the T8 AIVI :)
Hi Adi, the main consideration is whether you want to spend the extra $$ getting the auto-empty station. Otherwise, in terms of functionality the N8 Pro and T9+ are pretty similar. We have written an article here describing the differences in detail - robomate.co.nz/when-the-best-keeps-getting-better-the-deebot-n8-pro-and-the-t9-whats-the-difference/
It’s not really easy to see with the naked eye, but if you get down at ground level in a shadowy room you can probably see it. I don’t recommend looking into lasers though!
Avoid buying Deebot/Ecovacs products in Australia. Their Victorian service centre had my Deebot 9 in for warrantee repairs twice for the same fault. They can't repair it and Ecovacs have refused to replace it or give a refund. Don't let this happen to you. Choose another brand.

Oh ok! That seems about right price wise given the age of the T9 now :)

I like Covacs T8+ but their App control is needed innovationsssssssss and updates!
Do you have to take of the mop on the T9 when vacuuming carpets?
Yes, you do! It’s not a big deal, but it’s important to understand
Why S7 has 1 brush while T9 has 2 on both sides? which one is better?BTW, love your video! it's so clear.

Very detailed review! Love the design of reusable pad on S7+
Thank you! Yes - good eye for detail! The vibrarise mop pads a little bit different - seem to work well!!
Ecovacs sells a reusable pad for the t9 for $30 AUD
@@hungryha Very nice 👍 info
Such a tough choice!
I know it really is!!
Great review 👏 👌 thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you!
Which one of the two is quiter.thank-you
Ecovacs is much quieter!
Thanks. Which one would be better for slightly uneven slate floors?
Hmm, that's a tough one. There's probably not much in it, but the oscillating T9 mop may get damaged if it's too uneven over time.
@@RobomateTV Thank you

why does my T9 dont shoot lasers like that?, is your camera sensitive to it?
It’s not really easy to see with the naked eye, but if you get down at ground level in a shadowy room you can probably see it. I don’t recommend looking into lasers though!
This is weird. My T9 AIVI has dual rubber brush like Roomba.
The AIVI version is only available in very few countries, for that reason
@@RobomateTV Ah, because of Roomba patent. It's clear now.
Which is better not best. You are only comparing two.
