Seriously, people say he’s gotten so much better (which he has) but he’s always been so good. He got so overlooked for song long, I’m glad he’s getting more recognition this comeback 😤

when ateez did their US tour in 2022, they all continued their trainee-rookie tradition of still learning and practicing under professional dancers in the US (usually in Millenium). so seeing yeosang's dance improvement is no surprise, especially in footwork and broader, wider movements since he showed in his vlog that he had private lessons with Josh Price! Josh's dance style is very wide and dynamic and that is very much evident in Yeosang's improvement and highlighted center movements.
Yeosang's confidence has grown and grown. His skills were always there, but he definitely was far more shy in the earlier songs and choreos. He's found his vocal range which he really likes and is slaying. He spoke about his self esteem in the beginning, and a lot of people blame KQ, but I think they wrote him into each song to boost his confidence at that time and to grow. If that makes any sense. I feel like touring has done such wonders for their confidence and drive. The commitment and the moments of awe and the teamwork feels so elevated. One thing that intrigues me about ATEEZ is that given the trends in the industry and how much tiktok seems to determine what goes viral, they could very easily cater towards that but they really don't seem to want to? I don't generally think that it's 'sacrificing' to have choreo that becomes a tiktok challenge, but knowing that this is the level that ATEEZ can and want to perform at, it's refreshing that they've kind of refused to take that route and don't even really attempt to. I really love watching to see the ways that they each give to make the choreo work - Hongjoong for example is tiny (in comparison) but his movements are so exaggerated, and he's a little bit bow-legged but his movements are so seamless that it doesn't matter. Yunho and Mingi and their height, etc.

I agree and I feel like everybody was kind of taken aback with how good he is when he got more time in the centre for Deja Vu! But he is very good, super precise and graceful... just usually buried in the background.
that’s a good point! even if someone is an amazing dancer but not given good choreo or even enough time to shine, it’s useless. they wouldn’t be able to show it. so glad he got an opportunity this time :)
I think Yeosang started shining Deja vu onwards. Hi stage presence, expressions just got better every time. And here we are today. I am so proud of him.
Agreed! Like, it felt like he started feeling himself in Fireworks era, but really got confident in Deja Vu and onwards. He seems a lot more grounded during this era, like he realized it’s okay to make some noise and let himself feel the performance 😊 I love his, and ALL of Ateez’s growth because they keep getting stronger and it’s amazing to see!

yeosang has always actually been a great dancer which is why he’s lead dancer, at least until they removed the dancer positions and assigned to “performer” role for the entire dance line!! just some choreos are probably a bit of weaker style for him, but not bad ofc. for instance, say my name choreo was a standout for him imo. in the dance practice video, he really REALLY caught my eye with how amazing he was, in addition to this choreo as well. thanxx is also really good
I prefer this new format! And I agree that the choreography is a mix of power and gracefulness(?), which makes it so beautiful and satisfying to watch. Their facial expressions for this song are topnotch too, but I think you need to watch fancams in order to see them.
totally agree w what u said abt the details of the choreo, esp for dance crews. ive been stanning ateez since 2019 and i can tell that every member have slightly different versions of the choreography. But just want to let u know that ateez, esp seonghwa had mentioned that ateez's charm is that they may not be perfectly "polished" in terms of their details, but they are still able to work well and showcase a perfect team work and performances. I think ateez can do perfect in sync in terms of details if they wanted to, but they just chose not to, bcos it is their charm. seonghwa also mentioned something like, it showcases each member's true colour/style. but of course for competitions like kingdom, u can see that they put more effort in the details, just like how they did for kq fellaz performances.
Just wanna say this because a lot of people may not know, but Ateez deliberately doesn’t heavily focus on synchronization. They’ve said in interviews where they want each member to have their own style shine clearly through. I think there’s where some of the differences are coming from.
I think they pretty much always use BBT for dancers/choreography. I wanted to point out the part you refer to looking like a "throne", when they raise the dancer, the intention in raising the dancer is that he is to mimic the scarecrow from the MV. Also, the dance move in the bridge where you were talking about the toe being pointed and the heel raised, I was very curious about so I went and looked at the live stages so far and I can see that Mingi always raises his heel on that right foot. The others never do, aside from Yunho doing it one time on a live stage also. However, when they shift their weight to the other foot, Yeosang and occasionally Hongjoong point the toe and raise the heel on their left foot.
all points taken and I agree in all 😭i also have read on twitter that yeosang is starting to come out of his shell more, hence the improvement and confidence. i also like it more when you do reactions this way like you can watch the whole dance video first and take notes then react to it the second time to point out something more. thank you also for all the dance related advice! will be jotting it all down to use it to the dancers i manage hehehe we're preparing for the National Dance Competition here in the Philippines! 🫶
I was just writing a comment about how amazing and skilled and captivating Seonghwa is as a performer and then accidentally pressed cancel before I could post it. fffffffff~ Long story short, he half-asses nothing. NOTHING. He puts his all into it, whatever the song calls for; no body part is left disengaged. He's so in-tune with his body and his emotions and just knows how to express what the song needs, with no hesitations. His ability to access his elegant and sensitive energy just as well as his fierce and powerful energy is why I can never take my eyes off him when he performs. He's meticulous about every detail because even the tiniest details can make a huge difference - the difference between a good dancer and a masterful one; between a trained K-pop dancer and...Park Seonghwa. He's a work of art.
During yeosang’s part the lyrics goes “the blue bird that lost its voice” right at the start of his part he actually mimic the movement of a bird’s wing using his right hand which I found very beautiful
I thought the same thing about Yoesang. His confidence level has soared and it shows in his performance. I saw ATEEZ in Phoenix , AZ in November and they were truly amazing! I am hoping they will come back to the U.S. this year!!! Their music, vocals, dancing is just incredible.
They are so powerful and engaged in this that, as a viewer, I feel a part of this performance. I really felt emotions after viewing this. I get goosebumps each time I view it and find myself cheering them on. WOW ATEEZ -- you keep amazing me with your stories, songs, performances.
The 13:39 imagery is bringing in the Halateez scarecrow from the MV to the performance, if you remember the scarecrow is burnt while ateez members are in front of it. I really loved how they incorporated it in the dance
Thank u for ur praise towards yeosang 🥹! As a yeosang bias I really love ppl appreciating his dance - also I know form is important though I think atz said smth about they don’t try and change their dance styles to be perfectly like picture perfect like each other (eg. Like seventeen) but embrace their little differences but I know some ppl prefer details to be more precise
I love Yeosang this comeback. Not only his dance, but his voice in Halazia is so gripping. Also - I think you mentioned watching more stages on Patreon. I highly recommend you watch their special stage for Cyberpunk! I saw it live and everyone was loosing their minds over the choreo.
Yeosang's been slowly charging his batteries up for the past couple of years 😂 Jokes aside though I think he started to gain some confidence during the Answer choreo (he only had a short moment in the highlight though, for his one lonely line), and really came into his own during Deja Vu - but Deja Vu was a very concise, controlled sort of choreo. Now he's fully unleashing all the power into Halazia.
i really love that you point out the imperfections in their dance practices. it's really informative on the intricacies of dance and it shows a lot of your knowledge and experience. ateez are really exceptional dancers. i'm happy that someone like you can see through all the details they put into their performance! please watch ateez for a long time~
in the other dance practice they danced in a more synchronized way, I think they were more comfortable with the choreography. ateez is a group that evolves very fast, on stage they are on the next level.
Yes, as always Ateez never disappoints and always left us in awe but Yeosang this time really devoured, you can clearly tell how confident he is and the aura he exudes is just amazing. btw Jeff, Monsta X just came back with a new song 'Beautiful Liar' and SF9 as well released their new song 'Puzzle'. Hope u can react to their songs! 🤍
I love how critical his comments are, because it shows that he sees ateez as a group of professional dancers instead of just a group of singers who dance together. Instead of pointing out only the good parts, he explains the details that they could improve in the future. This might be the most satisfying reaction video I've seen so far.
I think one of the reasons i love this song and it’s choreography so much is the dichotomy it has… there’s this really compelling eb and flow where it shifts from strong to soft, fast to slow, delicate to forceful, chaotic to cohesive, etc. all of which has been done before i know but i guess it’s the way the juxtaposition of all those elements is executed that makes it so beautiful both visually and sonically in my opinion
I don't know exactly about but seems like BBT are with Ateez since they trainee days so they know each other really well. I think BBT have some kinda of bond with KQ, I don't know but I like it.
BBT are managed by KQ. They're sort of like an in-house dance crew for ATEEZ and other KQ artists but they also choreograph for other artists like Psy, HyunA.
Your new style doing dance reactions is really great! This way you get to enjoy the performance first as a whole and then break it down into a much more detailed analysis!
Thank you for this reaction n analysis! Has bn a while since I last watched you react & comment to an ateez dance practice yet I still found myself nodding along to u as u explained in details lol
I really appreciate your commentary from 21:40. Especially your acknowledgement that they have been so incredibly busy, so the details must have been difficult for them to fully commit the time to perfect as a group. I hope that people really take that to heart when judging idols because they don't always have the same opportunities to refine those details as they'd like to, but anyone else trying it may be able to clean it up and do the choreography justice 🥰
i love how you described the more graceful parts of the choreo as an oasis, and it didn't really hit me until you mentioned it but it really is both surprising just as it is essential for those parts to make halazia what it is! and i also think that's a testament to how well the choreo and the song fit together and reflect each other given that musically, there are all of these elegant organ and bell sounds, bird whistling, and choral ahhs within the hard-hitting soundscape of the rest of the song! also i had the same exact reaction as you at 21:06, like my jaw dropped looking at yunho and i still haven't been able to pick it back up lmao. and loving that yeosang was a standout to you for this one!!! i loved how detailed you were with the analysis, thank you for the video!!
Yes...Yeosang is a bolder dancer, but he's been underrated and I think due to less visibility. Part of what you're seeing in Yeosang is ACTUALLY SEEING YEOSANG!
yeosang has always had the skills but he has never been give any opportunity to showcase it from debut with bare minimum parts in songs till answer. since inception he has started working even harder and improved so much and showcased himself with the still less but prominent parts he got in their songs. i see his efforts into dance and facial expressions from their tour clips but again even within the fandom not everyone sees that growth with how he has far less parts than all other members. halazia with him having a significant catchy part with good choreography, everyones eyes are on his ever improving skills. hope he consistently gets good and more parts. but he has always been a good dancer and has only improved with his facial expressions every comeback.
Yeosang been acting up since Deja Vu and he's becoming a bigger menace with every comeback. 😂 The way I clutch my pearls and forget who my bias is everytime he's on screen....
i think you would really appreciate wooyoungs dance to logics 1-800.. it’s very contemporary free style it’s very beautiful and i think u would appreciate the dance
*Oasis in the dessert * & * Singing with their bodies * were such beautiful expression ! Thanks, Jeff for the reaction! I have been waiting for your reaction video since the day this video came out and I was a bit disappointed since your reaction video for Mv was shorter but this video was so satisfying to watch and helpful to learn about dance movements & Establishments.🥰 And I appreciate the way you expressed how beautiful Seonghwa's lines and elegant movements which always catch my eyes too❣ I Like your new reacting style to the video bc its more detailed and enjoying :D
hearing you talk about yeosang really made me blush lol😆. in my opinion, i think even guerrilla also really brought out the performer in him too!! i'm so proud of him🥺👏
I would really still like to see your reaction to the MBC one! I feel like that one is way more intense and it's also in a much bigger space and really gave them room to go full out 150%. It's just a whole different vibe!
I love how much Yeosang’s confidence has grown over these comebacks. But sometimes I think a lot of people either don’t know or forget that ATEEZ was a dance crew before becoming idols. Especially when they see Jongho dancing. (^~^) 💕🦋
I started learning this the day the performance practice dropped. I learned the prechorus and bridge on my own but desperately needed a tutorial for the chorus and dance break because its so fast. I am STILL struggling on Wooyoung's dance break, BECAUSE HOLY CRAP ITS FAST!! This is definitely by far the hardest choreo I have ever learned, especially since I barely know any boy group choreos... legit just Ateez, Oneus, and A.C.E as they are my ults lol. I recorded myself and was pleasantly surprised I was not as bad as I thought? Usually the boygroup choreos arent as good looking for me but Yeo's prechorus looked pretty good to me idk
BBT does mostly everything, they're the dance version of Edenary. If I'm not mistaken, they were formed to choreograph for BlockB (BB) originally, then took on choreography for our pirates, and that continues now that BlockB is mostly (all?) gone from the secondary Four Seasons label under KQ. Their dancers also fill in whenever there's a member injured or unavailable, they just take on that role exactly as they do when making/showing the choreography where they wear the apron with the member name on it. It's a great thing to have quick backfill without necessarily having to rework choreography and placement. Thanks for the detailed analysis! I sometimes wish they had more fitting clothing, because I think sometimes we miss nuances because of how clothing works, but that's actually true for stages, too, so... Great to see you, Jeff!
You can do what lever you want with the format. I will watch your videos no matter what. Yeosang has definitely hits different this year. In sector 1 he surprised me and this time his part is my fav of the song.
Thank you for the reaction! It was great! I don't know when they recorded this dance practice., but to me they're the sharpest in the mbc video. I hope you can react to their performance and practice. ♡
What happened to yeosang hits so hard. He's finally getting alot of recognition from his visuals to his dancing to his vocals and I'm so happy for him. He even became my bias and I haven't changed my bias in years
Nope not the same Yeosang before was very shy and doesn't have enough confidence Now Yeosang is out of his shell and he is ready KQ wait yeosang to step out they make sure yeosang wants it not being force

Halazia....THE choreography where I can't pinpoint my favorite moments because from the start to the end it's my one big favorite moment......💥👌 Like.... The prechorus with Yeosang The chorus with Jongho.... The second hala-hala-hala chorus with Seonghwa Mingi's rap part with him puppeting those backup dancers all the sharp beats....... AND THE BACKUP DANCERS!!! I can't.....
I’ve been looking forward to your dance practice reaction. I love how you said they were singing with their bodies because I think that describes this dance perfectly. If you watch their live performance with the intro you will notice due to costuming the back up dancers are recreating the Halateez scarecrow from the MV. Seonghwa and San are probably my favorite dancers in this-but Yeosang’s parts are probably my favorite part. I also have to say-Jongho is one of the few main vocalists who can be on the front through the dance break and still look amazing. He doesn’t get near the attention for his dance skills he should get. BBTrippin always use BBTrippin. They may bring in outside choreographers for some songs but that choreographer works with BBTrippin and Ateez.

San at the last part does hold it till the end and it looks beautiful 🥹
Yeosang confidence is overflowing. He is shining!
I'm so proud of Yeosang, probably he made that jump in Deja Vu, is where most of atiny noticed his confidence
Wooyoung covered a song by the artist called logic. And he did contemporary dance😊.
Logic is the artist's name, the song name is the number you see in the title which is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline's number!
@@Mariana_Zp ops😂. Thanks for telling i wil change it before anymore people see this😭
Thank u for ur praise towards yeosang 🥹!
I love your comments and criticisms of even the smallest details, it just gives me a whole new perspective to observe hhhh.
Love the new format. It gives more insight as well on the second watch
Yess right, yeosang was a lil bit more shy. But now he grew up into a hot sexy confident man 😂
i really love that you point out the imperfections in their dance practices. it's really informative on the intricacies of dance and it shows a lot of your knowledge and experience.
ateez are really exceptional dancers. i'm happy that someone like you can see through all the details they put into their performance! please watch ateez for a long time~
You are right choi san holds the pose longer on stage and it looks beautiful!!!
in the other dance practice they danced in a more synchronized way, I think they were more comfortable with the choreography.
ateez is a group that evolves very fast, on stage they are on the next level.
I just love the way he reacts and analyzes dance practices. MY FAVORITE REACTION CHANNEL!!
Seonghwa's dancing is so underrated 😭
Thank you Jeff for reacting to Ateez and for appreciating and enjoying their work!
Letsss gooooo Ateez 💜💜
Yay! Glad you got to the dance practice! Alsoooo, saw you in a Hallmark movie 😍. I told my bf “omg I watch his kpop dance reactions!” Haha
@@amruwithluv ahhh so it's like this, I already figured out that BBT have a thing which KQ but I didn't know KQ managed then.
@@amruwithluv most of they choreography videos in they channel even from other artists have the KQ logo behind.
honestly i can't get enough of how yunho dances, but yeosang is just shining in this era!
This choreography seems almost tribal. My favorite so far of theirs. 🥰
I absolutely love your analysis especially when is ateez cause they're in another level of performance
I learn a lot about performance with you
hii loved the reaction so much!! Wooyoung released a dance cover to logic’s song 1800 and it would be nice to see your reaction to it :))
Ahhh I’ve been waiting for your reaction!
When watching this practice, the stomping and clapping sounds are so satisfying.
This song is living rent free in my head!!!! I’ve your reaction videos!! Keep up the great reviews.
yeosang has always had the skills but he has never been give any opportunity to showcase it from debut with bare minimum parts in songs till answer. since inception he has started working even harder and improved so much and showcased himself with the still less but prominent parts he got in their songs. i see his efforts into dance and facial expressions from their tour clips but again even within the fandom not everyone sees that growth with how he has far less parts than all other members. halazia with him having a significant catchy part with good choreography, everyones eyes are on his ever improving skills. hope he consistently gets good and more parts. but he has always been a good dancer and has only improved with his facial expressions every comeback.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION
I love all your reactions to ATEEZ ♡ Thank you for reacting, for valuing, appreciating and talking about how talented you are ♡
Always b.b Trippin~ Because they are from KQ entertainment too.
they're known as the last 30 secs idol cuz they just hit that hard every last 30 secs of their choreography
Best 4th gen performers
hearing you talk about yeosang really made me blush lol😆. in my opinion, i think even guerrilla also really brought out the performer in him too!! i'm so proud of him🥺👏
I would really still like to see your reaction to the MBC one!
(^~^) 💕🦋
When I watched the MV / Presentations I was like "Jeff is really going to like this kinda contemporary movements that the boys r doing"
Defo prefer the whole experience first time around! Thanks for that
Yeosang received the light for this comeback cause there's no way this is the Yeosang we know! Something has awaken in him!
jeff thank you so much for this in depth analysis of halazia's choreo! this just made me appreciate their performance even more :>
What happened to yeosang hits so hard. He's finally getting alot of recognition from his visuals to his dancing to his vocals and I'm so happy for him. He even became my bias and I haven't changed my bias in years
he's literally the same yeosang they just gave him a better part and chance to show his skils
Nope not the same
Yeosang before was very shy and doesn't have enough confidence
Now Yeosang is out of his shell and he is ready
KQ wait yeosang to step out they make sure yeosang wants it not being force
@@ATINYRIE yall never watched yeosang performances since debut and it shows. yes he was shy off stage but he never was shy on stage. stop with this narrative and literally go watch any of his debut or even predebut performances
@@yeomon595this, i was watching his wonderland fancam a couple days ago and he was dancing hard!
I just love your reactions!
Yes obviously i'm watching cause your so interesting, it's really informative, you stop a lot! which I really love, cause it shows me how much appriciation you have for those amazingly talented boys (I watch videos you make on bands that I don't even listen to cause I enjoy your explanations so much)
BUT most of all, and I've just noticed that, you're so elegent with your explanations, so gorgeous!!!
THANK YOU for your reactions :D
16:41 that footwork for me looks like Flamenco
Thank you for your analysis, this was very informative
the way i was waiting for you to release this and i screamed when i saw it on my youtube XD
Halazia....THE choreography where I can't pinpoint my favorite moments because from the start to the end it's my one big favorite moment......💥👌
Like.... The prechorus with Yeosang
The chorus with Jongho....
The second hala-hala-hala chorus with Seonghwa
Mingi's rap part with him puppeting those backup dancers
all the sharp beats.......
AND THE BACKUP DANCERS!!!
I can't.....
I like how you formatted your reaction this time :)
Yeosang Era!
*talking about Yeosang in high pitched voice*
Thank you for the reaction 🥰
Please react wooyoung dance cover for logic next time
Yeosang era is upon us and we're all here for it 🙌
thank u jeff
