She included false anecdotes and has demurred when asked to verify them. If she can’t handle these “cruel jokes” about her own actions, then it’s not just a question of her honesty and judgement; maybe she isn’t as tough as she pretends to be.

Word of interpretation - the weather in the Midwest was life threatening & home destroying. Noem did the correct things - being with her people where she may be needed. We usually do not get storms this bad on the East Coast. They are horrific. Many states were under the warnings with much damage done and life lost.
