2006 xb12r firebolt owner here grew up riding ama. Owned a gsxr650 cbr600rr ninja 636 Harley 1200r roadster 127cubic inch chopper . Gave all up for my firebolt. Truly the best bike ever built not only as a rider but in looks. Harley Davidson made a major mistake and lost my business for good after buell left the showroom. I'll have my firebolt till I die. If Eric ever makes another ill be first in line!

I bought my first Buell last Fall and I absolutely love it. Never been a sport bike guy and I got the Buell to replace a metric cruiser. This sucks, and it sucks for me personally because now I can never (will never) trade my Lightning in on a new bike. If I had the cash for a second bike I'd seriously consider another Buell. Thanks Erik and everyone at Buell, and congratulations to the world-class "little guy" for such a great run.

After several Hondas and Yamahas I tried a XB, then the absolutely amazing 1125R with her ugly design and just love this piece of master engineered technology. I'm from the younger generation and am more than happy to have the privilege to been riding one of those bikes. Erik did a fantastic job, I'm sure more people will follow and enjoy this motorcycles even if they're not reproduced anymore. Definitely a piece of history and monumental in the bike scene. People who know stop you on the street and ask you about your bike, amazing. Erik you have friends in Switzerland, Germany, France. Greetings from the alps and curious to see if the story will be continued....

The most heartfelt video with a strong message, I will indeed continue to ride my 1125r with pride and passion here in Western Australia. There's nothing like riding a Buell! May the trilogy of Tech live on with every Buell as they like the rest of us get older. Thanks Erik. Stand with pride my friend, same goes for all that have poured their life into these indeed innovative machines.

You have many loyal fans the world over and I myself own two of your bikes and shall own them forever. I never really knew what riding fun was all about before I tried a Buell. The people down at Harley calling the shots are idiots. The younger riders are looking for quick sporty bikes just like Buell was building, Why does Harley insist on forcing bikes that are slow and turn like a truck down the throats of riders that want a American made bike?

  • @opmike343
    @opmike343 10 лет назад +2

Would have been interesting to see how the old Buell would have done had they been sold in showrooms by sales stuff that actually cared about moving the product. They really should have been in the Triumph, Ducati, Aprilia, etc. combo dealerships that we so frequently see. The average guy strolling into a Harley dealership probably isn't going to be interested in an XB12, so the sales dude isn't going to be interested in pushing it. Happy to see the newly formed EBR is doing well.

  • @gamesv650

I have to say as a true motorcycle fanatic that it's a sad day. Buell's motorcycles were innovative. Every piece, every shape was very well thought out, made to specifically function better. Although they did not perform best they were well on their way. Buell's motorcycles were unlike anything in the world.
I supported this company and as development grew, I wanted to see them battle out against the best in WSBK. I have to say that everyone from wera and the ccs feels the same way.
    RIP USA SB

I saw this day along time ago! I loved my Buell the day I picked it up. The very next day it was in for recalls. From there I felt lucky as hell if I made it 1000 miles before it was down for repair. Then top it off with the fact that they would stop making parts for bikes that where only 4 years old. I grew up dreaming of owning a Buell. Once my dream came true I found it to be a nightmare!
So, now it's Buell buy 1 get 2 free. You will need the extra ones 4 parts later.

This man put his heart & soul into this company. They were a tough sell for salesmen because people typically go into a Harley dealership to buy a Harley, not a crotch rocket. The local dealer sells about 300 Harleys a year and 15 Buells. It's an outstanding product just in a tough sales atmosphere. I own a 1125R and love it. I'm not going to be a tough guy running my mouth hiding behind a pc monitor about someone else's bike. 180 Americans are out of work and that's my biggest concern.

This had to happen to someone who didn't deserve it. Buell has definitely earned its respect through building quality products, not shonky marketing.

Last year I made the best purchase of my life, I bought a new 25th anniversary 1125r. I out cheered all my rice bike riding buddies as the Buell won AMA. This year I had planned to purchase two harley cruisers for the wife and I (my sport bike buddies had become sick of hearing all my Buell talk). Very sad. A major loss to the bike world. It was not the fault of Erik or the bikes - but of the people who liked them but bought another brand.
Erik should carry on without HD. Triumph rose from the ashes .

This is absolutely sad news. Buell was the only inovated american MoCo. With out a doubt marketing and not the product doomed this company.
I've always been on a japanese bike ,but I always admired the buell motorcycle.

I never cared much for the look of Sports Bikes and have always been a Harley fan, but sad to see all those people lose their jobs.

As a Buell owner (x2) I will NEVER BUY HD now. Always figured I get one when I'm old & want to start "sitting" on a motorcycle....
But now its VICTORY cruisers for me when I'm an old man. Its pretty obvious that VICTORY is a much better quality & performance cruiser than HD, & its American Made.

Sad to see, a good man and great bikes. The right mix of old school cool and high tech savvy. I'll never sell my Firebolt :(

This nation is a changin and Beull is a casualty. I grew up to work hard pay my dues and enjoy what I have. How it all has changed. America is great....I see it losing that honest heart that makes us the best. I worked for a company that started in 1935...buy-outs etc... now it is in Mexico.
Now I am offically on Obama-care. I hope SS will be there if I survive.
I have this sinking feeling I will end the same way as Beull has.
