My 6 GT is by far the most accurate rifle I’ve ever owned. The cartridge is so easy to load and get awesome results. It seems like the 6 GT has the exact optimum case capacity to bring out the best in Varget speed powders.
Yes sir the BR world was and is all about short and fat cartriges and for a darn good reason. I commend you for the effort you put into these user friendly cartriges.
Had a custom 6GT built on a Lone Peaks Razor Ti action. Had it built as a lightweight mule deer cartridge. Tried taking a black bear with it this spring, but no luck. Mule deer and white tails open up here in 3 days 🤘🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🤘
George and Tom? Cmon, we all know it stands for “Gay Tiger”! Seriously though, I just built a 6mm rifle with a Shilen select match barrel, and after agonizing on what 6mm cartridge to chamber it in, I decided on 6mm creedmoor. One of the most accurate rifles I’ve ever shot. But…..I still want a 6GT!!
Both seem like excellent cartridges. The 6mm GT seems like it would be an excellent general purpose military cartridge because it's lighter weight and lighter recoil than 7.62 nato but much better performance than 5.56mm.
1:18 George are you saying the SAUM's rebate case head/rim made it feed poorly in top loading rifles? The SAAMI drawing shows the case head is 0.016" smaller than the body base - 0.008" on either side. That makes such a distinct difference over a non-rebated case head cartridge?
6.5 PRC 👍👍

Thanks George to both you and TomE for doing so much for the shooting world, both hunting and competition! Legions for sure!
Well that was an excellent video to wake up to. Thank you. I love the 6.5PRC. Should have a Tikka I'm having built done soon.

History. Love it. Also, thank you for the 6GT. It's like cheating

Shooting gt for prs type stuff and 6.5 prc for nrl hunter
Would you use this for long range competition?
Yes...Its used out to 1400 in PRS
How did it compare to the 6x47lapua?
Haha the video is 6:47 minutes long
Is SA ok for 6.5 prc?
I have a Bergara and Browning both are short actions.
OMG, I can't believe what I just heard? Something about, "other guys not being as good a shot as you? I hope that statement doesn't effect business?
Go get your ears checked
Must be a “poors” hearing thing, I didn’t catch that.
