I want to replace my old OTG, and would like to know if the preset bake function in Philips OTG works well for bread baking. 50% of my usage will be for baking bread and grilling veg sandwiches. Convection Fan helps to cook faster right? So if this oven doesn't have convection fan it means it will take more time to cook than other ovens with fan?
Baked a cake. Placed the tray in the middle rack. Had set timer for 25 minutes. Checked the cake after 14 minutes, found the top of it almost on verge of burning. Took it out and when I took the cake out of mould after 10 minutes, I saw that it was under baked from the bottom. That wasn’t a problem when I used Usha OTG at my aunt’s place. A friend who owns the same OTG has sworn he won’t ever make a pizza in it because it always sticks. And sticks like the base gets totally wasted. I regret buying it a big big deal
At what temperature did you set for baking? I have never faced such an issue as I could bake one of the most perfect cakes as you can see in the video. I have also given the recipe link in the description. Please try it I’m sure you will get a wonderful cake. And one useful tip I can give you is, when you bake a cake, never open oven door before 20 minutes, that cause your cake to fail. All the best.
Bake on 175 to 180 C for 25 to 30 minutes. You can also use default bake function on preset menu of the oven. I used that setting for the cake recipe in the description box.
As far as I know, cakes are quite flexible. So any license you take with its length and breadth, will result in greater height of the cake. Nothing to worry if it grows up to 13" in height.
Hlw mam.... though it didn't have convection mode. Is there any much impact or some lagging in the food that will be cooked? Are you missing the convection mode? Today i order this otg.
Not at all. Convection basically distributes hot air evenly inside the oven. This oven has opti-temp technology to give similar effect. So far I have been able to bake everything successfully. No complaints.
Obviously body and glass will get hot during the process. But handle doesn't. I don't think glass will break if handled gently. I have not faced any problems with it so far.

You can reheat foods like vadas, samosas, fries etc by placing them in baking tray & placing in middle rack. Preheat oven for 5 mins. Use bake mode & leave for another 5 minutes to get heated. But for Gravies it may not be suitable. OTG is basically good for baking, grilling purpose.
It’s easy. Just heat 1 litre milk and when it comes to boil add 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice. Turn off heat and drain paneer using a cloth and squeeze to remove water. Tie it and hang it on a tap till all water drains for 1 or 2 hours. Then you can cut it to desired shape.
There are 4 heating rods in this otg 2 below 2 above how do we only turn on the lower 2 heating rods and u r telling everyone to go to default preset menu how do i do that
Which means for different dishes you have different default settings in the preset menu. So oven will turn on or off the heating rods as and when required according to the dish. So accordingly you can choose. Manual adjustments can be made to temperature and time settings.
Because 1. This is digital and more accurate on temperature plus 2. This is 25 lts & morphy richard 24rss is 24lt. 3. Morphy richard 24rss doesn’t have light inside the oven but Philips is well lit. And I think you don’t get rotisserie rods with Morphy richards 24rss though it has rotisserie function. I have seen some people complaining on that in their reviews on Amazon but not sure. I have not used borosil otg. But this one is very good as far as I have used.
What is difference in OTG and microwave oven.
Otg use heating rods whereas microwave uses radiation.
@@CryssberryReviewsandTips Thanks. Can we bake bread in this.
Ofcourse yes. I have a baking course in the description box and most of the cakes, cookies and bread in the course were made in this oven.
Mam pls share cake bake time in otg phillips 36litre sponge cake making
Is rottesseri motorized pls let me know
Yes
hello didi ,
does it have enough space to fit a whole chicken ?
its a deal breaker for me .
Yes it fits one full medium size chicken
Nice video. Mam pls make a paneer preparing video using packet milk.
Thank you for sharing inner dimensions, which no one did as far as I have seen the videos. Could you please also share inner depth measurement.
@@CryssberryReviewsandTips so isnt there a way i can turn on only lower heating rods during the baking of the cakes :((
I have baked many many cakes on it and it has always come out perfectly. You can check my cooking channel “cryssberry kitchen” .
Hello ma'am 👋
The temp & time knob turns full 360 Degree is it?
Yes
Does this OTG come with Convection Fan???
No
How to switch off after working is over please let me know
very good review indeed !! Does it have a convection fan ?
Thanks 😊. It doesn’t have convection fan. But it has this opti-temp technology for even heat distribution. And serves the purpose.
Khana garm kar skte hai otg ma
That will be difficult
Is this better than Morphy Richards 24RSS? If yes, then why ?
Philips also has this new Opti-Temp technology which gives even browning due to even distribution of heat and faster cooking.
@@CryssberryReviewsandTips in comparison i mean, which has better heating elements? which performs better ? Morphy or philips?
which one should i buy ?
Please help i'm confused between these 2 ...
My friend as far as I have used this one is really really good. Nothing against Morphy Richards but compared to 24rss model this one is far better in features and baking is also perfect. No complaints to say till date as I bake regularly.
@@CryssberryReviewsandTips Hi ma'am! Thank you for the detailed review! I have ordered this today on Croma but they did not mention about the 16a plug! Could you please provide link from where you purchased the extra adapter? I would be very grateful 🙏🏽

Chicken upto 1 kg at a time.
@@CryssberryReviewsandTips ok thanks I bought 25 l
Hi can we use only lower coil ??
For that you can select from the preset modes according to the dish you are cooking.
Can I use 10 inch cast iron skillet in this otg
No not advisable
Mene bi purchase kiya h mam
Bt me bahut confused hu ki microwave convection Lena chahiye tha
Microwave ovens have comparatively less inner space compared otg. Plus most microwave ovens don’t have rotisserie function at this price.
