When Jeremy said "Bad...follow by Bad to Richard to the radio. That's mateship right there. He knew it was bad and rather than make any form of joke. He let his other mate know things were bad. But also the follow up after and the genuine concern for one anothers safety was ❤❤❤

The tunnel crash made my jaw absolutely drop. Actually stomach churning. I hope May makes a full recovery.
If I may say, it was a good move by the editing team to not drop any hints in the footage leading up to it. It allowed the moment to be shocking.
His crash was every for me, I knew nothing about the episode(intentionally) other than that he crashed his evo

The tunnel crash was quite tense. Poor James, it must've been tough to carry on with a broken rib, but he soldiered on. I must say though this video did capture the best crashes and accidents. The houses on ski's had me in stitches. I agree with Jeremy; that was the funniest thing they've done in cars for a long time. I also need to find a soundclip of Clarkson shouting "Hammond!!!" when he found out his Audi was iced in. The echo made it funnier. Scandi Flick, 10/10, bravo everyone at The Grand Tour!
As big a Subaru guy as I am, I have a new-found respect for the Evo thanks to this special. It crashed twice, the second time in icy water, and it was resurrected both times for James to finish the challenge.

Me and 2 year old daughter was watching this together. When James may crashed I was in shock and my daughter cried in panic about it. James may you legend
When he asked if the car was bad and then lamented having to drive the Volvo, We knew he was gonna be Ok.

I remember reading articles regarding James May's crash but this is my first time actually seeing it. Absolutely terrifying. The boys like to joke and prank each other but after an incident like that you can really see the true colors of their friendship. These 3 really are the world's greatest trio. 🤘💪❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸

The frozen car prank was easily the top 5 fav pranks...when hammand tryied to explain what happened and and geremy was not having it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i love this show cant wait for the next episode

So happy to see this new episode. Personally wasn't a fan of the last couple and I feel like they've gone back to what they are good at. Keeping it simple, focussing on the brilliant cars and being entertaining

I don't think they needed to take as many risks, but other than that yes this was a pretty good one.
This feels like a return to the classic Top Gear Specials, more than The Grand Tour; and I love it.
This episode was nuts even by top gear standards, just the tunnel race was enough but the ski-houses were just complete chaos

literally just finished watching the Scandi Special. Wow…. my love for these 3 is just further cemented. Had me absolutely dying of laughter countless times. I’m glad it was so long because I never wanted it to end. I didn’t even believe the James May crash in the tunnel was real at first that was insane!!! Way to go carrying on just to end up in a not so frozen lake 😂 Already waiting for the next special from the holy trio.. please please please never stop making these type of specials ❤️

Seeing James crash into that tunnel had me terrified. I was praying for him to make a full recovery. Then to see him crash into the ice, that had me even more worried.

Because watching Clarkson operate locks and being forced to travel at 4 mph would be absolutely hilarious.
They did an amphibious / hover van back on Top Gear that they took through some canals.
The fact that there's an 11 minute compilation says alot about these guys
I cry when I see James crash everytime now (That could of ended worse and that is why). I am amazed at how they saved the evo from going into the ice.
I laughed so hard at Hammond trying to go up with the ski lift. I cried of laughter. Then Jeremy trying to tow his shelter going back and forth. That was hilarious as well. When James is on his car, Hammond tell him don't go anywhere. He's like "where am I going to go?

The nonsensical presence of mind to come out with "I'm in the Volvo" after what had just happened sums up everything that is so great about James May

I verry rarely leave a reply to something but after watching you guys for many years i have to say this was one of my favourites maybe a factor that these are the kind of cars i grew up loving but all round a great episode please make more frequent episodes again!
They never claimed to be professionals, I believe that's what makes the show so great! You know they're going to cock it up, just don't know how! I am truly impressed with Hammonds winching knowledge..lol

Such a bittersweet episode. I always wished they would use a Evo as a hero car. Unfortunately, the one time captain slow crashes, it had to be the Mitsubishi.

My God James hit hard. Did anyone else notice that the EVO was equipped with rather aggressive studded tires ? These are indeed needed in Icy conditions for traction. But on concrete , they did quite the opposite. Think of your Cat or Dog trying to run on a hard wood floor. Bim lives to see another day. And that is a very good thing.😀

One of the upsides about james' crash is it really shows that no matter how much they take the piss out of each other they really do care for one another.
I hope there will be more episodes on prime video than just 1 episode from the new season. And hope it never stops

there’s another episode that’s already been filmed that’ll be released sometime around the end of the year where they’re in Poland and the Baltic countries.
There’s been no ‘seasons’ since three years ago in 2019, as they mentioned at the time, they would continue to do a couple of specials per year and thankfully they have done.
@@AtheistOrphan Actually they have had “seasons”. This is the first episode of season 5. the previous 4 specials were “season 4”. That’s how the episodes are divided up on Amazon Prime, IMDB and on wikipedia.
