That UK is not even equipped or prepared because in a moment of a labour shortage they call asylum and refugee seekers invaders has got to be top shelf economic self sabotage. not me but I am not English, and the EU never told him, he is right in a way, no one from the EU called him personally to tell him about the budget, and there is a public server where the budget could be downloaded and read for everyone who wants to see it, same with why the GB can not have the same contract like before, because its the benefit of being in the club, the English want to be out, so they now have to prove that their products are on the EU standard, fun fact (and shows how to learn resistant English Tories are) the made in Germany was insisted from England on all German products because the politician was sure the English would only buy English products, bad luck was that the German produced cheaper with higher quality so the made in Germany was at the end not a handicap to buy products it was a benefit

I applaud the patience of Brian, he actually ask valid questions and tried to understand the mindset of the leavers. As a Canadian, a third country citizen, it makes no difference for me to enter UK (where I live before Brexit) or Germany (where I live now after Brexit) I guess I don’t feel the heat as much, but I did move to Germany because of Brexit. As a former short-term Londoner, all my friends are remainers. I can almost guarantee you that most people who voted to leave don’t even know what EU is all about. My German partner will tell you that, without EU, the hassle of exchanging currencies, and the restrictions on movement of goods. Considered Germany had one of the strongest currencies in Europe before the EU, the Germans would still tell you that it is better being in the EU than being the outside of it. Imagine all the small European countries having to negotiate separately with all the trade deals, and deal with the fluctuation of the currencies. And if not for the EU, I reckon Russia would invade as many small European countries as they can, seeing the way they strong arm their military. I don’t know, that’s just my guess, but judging by all the superpowers in the world, at least the EU is on a level playing field with the alliance.

Unfortunately, it started even earlier in the UK: with Brexit. The anti-EU rhetoric had been building since the 2000s (Farage and his UKIP populist party) but reached a crescendo around 2015 with the announcement of there being a referendum to finally decide our status in the EU....long story short the rightwing populists, which covers most of the British press, and the populist politicians like Farage and Johnson confected a campaign to convince enough disenfranchised to vote against their own best interests and vote to leave the biggest and most successful trading bloc in the world - all to enrich the rightwing elites in the UK, of course. James O'Brien has been trying to hold people to account from day 1....but the populist idiocy, like Trump in the USA, knows no bounds! As you can see in these interviews: "I am right and I don't care about your 'facts'!! My mind is made up."
