    I have this exact same quad camera. I think you should've put the side cameras way up in the front about a foot or two below the roofline because then you get the whole side of the RV any cars that are on the side of it. That's where I have mine installed, and most motorhomes come with the side cameras up in the front, but as long as you're happy with your install that's all that matters. Great video an awesome camera system I love it!

    Pulling cabling is to chopping onions what playing with the gadgets is to enjoying the dinner.
    Great video! I'm digging the sponsored videos, as they still feel like a typical M&L ep., and not some lame unboxing/spec reading.

    Looks like you are adding a lot of value to the RV. Hoping you get a buyer who appreciates all the work you put into maintaining and upgrading it!!

    We have a similar system on our new 3000 gallon tanker for the fire department. We have one on each front fender look back to help with dumping water/turning (they come on with the directional signal). One off the back to help with backing up and dumping water out the rear. The fourth feed is for the GPS feed.

    Love the perspective you add on these sponsorship videos, also huge value add if you keep it on the RV for the sale.

    Glad to hear you are installing this on the truck. I just now got around to watching this and seeing how great it worked out and knowing you were getting rid of the RV made me sad until I saw you were going to reuse it :)

    Your blind spot is more upfront closer to the nose where if a vehicle is driving under your mirror you cannot see them and go to change lanes right on top of that

    GREAT video and demonstration. If you wanted to put put more than one camera on the trailer (e.g. 3 cameras: 1 rear, left side, and right side), what connector would you have used? The quick disconnect part you listed shows 7 pins which I believe would work for me as well.
    For additional context, I want to put the rear and side cameras on my trailer (35' travel trailer) so that when I'm backing up or turning, I can still see what is behind the trailer.

      Apparently, video requires specifications that the POLLAK plug may interfere with. May have to revisit this idea for an alternative solution.

    I just installed mine, only one camera and 7in screen but I want to add 2 more. I've seen people put the cameras in the rear and in the front, I really not sure which one I like better. My Civic has mirror lights and it makes it so much easier to merge and in an RV, those side windows need to be crystal clear to see out the mirror. What are your thoughts Mike?

    If you've ever been sideswiped all 33 ft of your motorhome by a 90 year old idiot trying to pass you on the right going up a 1 lane freeway on ramp, you'll never want to be without side cameras ever again. You put them on the steering end, as far forward as possible. No more blind lane changes, no more nearly invisible bicyclists, mini coopers or bikers to give you a heart attack when (not if, WHEN) you hit them turning a corner, going on or off ramps, or changing lanes.
    Guaranteed peace of mind.

      Surely since you get that view from the mirrors anyway, it's helpful to get an alternate angle from the camera?

      @ssijon 4 года назад +1

      @@alex_ob1 you get a wider view of the sides to see cars.

      @@ssijon I've been playing with cameras on my vehicle, I concluded that looking straight down from the back corner is potentially most useful. Wider views from the front I can perhaps better achieve with extra concave mirrors.

    I love how this is old content from there old plans, just too lazy to film new stuff or put out the build videos

    • @SyberPrepper
      @SyberPrepper 8 лет назад +4

      If you are so negative about their content as to call them "lazy", why are you even watching? Putting out videos is difficult. You don't just record something and dump it on RUclips; at least if you want someone to watch it. These folks (and anyone who puts out decent videos) spend many hours getting them ready. So, you may want to cut them a break.

      ZeroDay Videos they (Mike and Lauren) had a commitment to a sponsor to make a video for them whether their plans changed or not are relevant to that sponsors agreement they need to uphold their agreement so they did, not lazy, the opposite.
