I grew up poor and a foster kid but the first time I rode I swore one day when I was an adult I would ride again. Now I own a beautiful Arabian mare. Horse lovers always find their way back to horses no matter what ❤
At my barn, we didn’t start catering on the lunge, we just started on our own. I’m still learning how to sit, but it gets easier. I fell last year and broke my arm, and I was terrified of riding again, but I pushed through and regained my confidence on lesson ponies. One day, when it was time to canter / trot, I thought to myself, why am I putting off cantering? So I decided to just go for it, and I’m so glad I did! Also, there are 2 horses at my barn exactly like Dora. You need riding whips with them or else they won’t go 😂 one is rlly small, so he’s used for children who start, and he’s so sweet everyone loves him, the other is 15.3hh, one of my 2 favourites because he is just so willing. Ik he’s rlly lazy, and he has arthritis so he leans a lot (we cantered into a fence once 😂) but he does *eventually* go lol
This is exactly what's happening to me omg! I fell off and broke my wrist and lost all my confidence. I got that feeling when I was trotting and my instructor told me she thought I was ready to canter again and I did it just this Sunday and I'm so proud of how far I've come! You just have to keep believing in yourself and it'll all be okay, you just need to believe that when it comes to horses.
I don't think I've never seen a lazy horse who's more willing to canter than trot! 😂 Or a rider who gains confidence from a horse bucking! As someone who lacks confidence I should take note I think lol 🤔
You inspire me so much :) I’m still a beginner and unfortunately I can’t get many lessons at my barn due to lack of bookings so every time I go it’s like starting from scratch. Also everyone at the barn has been riding since they were like 5, just refreshing to see someone roughly at my level
Awwww I hope you get to ride a little more frequently soon! It can definitely be frustrating if Everytime you come in it feels like you’re starting over. But I’m sure you’re doing amazing ❤️❤️
New subscriber! You're probably the first vlogger I've come across on RUclips who's an adult amateur - most seem to be advanced, longtime riders. I'm also learning to ride in my 20s so I love that you're sharing your journey and progress x
You’re such a patient rider I could neverrrrrrr! But I love how you are concerned about how much you pull and if you’re doing anything wrong. I could tell that today wasn’t specifically the best day. I know you might have nerves sometimes, if you ever feel scared to try anything new, I bet your coach will ease it down for you, i am literally SOOO proud of you! Stay safe girl! ❤❤❤❤❤
just a tip that paints aren’t a coat color, suprise, they are a breed! the proper color would be a tobiano, overo, splashed white, sabino, etc! that’s a lil fun fact ❤️
The old place i rode at, you had to canter alone but the inductor would guide you. I fell off both times i cantered during the lesson, it was horrible for me, my arm was in agony the rest of the lesson.
There is a horse at my barn named Glory, and she reminds me so much of Dora! I ofc love her, but she is the slowest have I have ever ridden. But I recently got my own horse, and boy is he quick! 😅
Dora is just like a horse at my old barn 47! He was a race horse but he was to lazy, he’s the hardest horse to get trotting, he doesn’t pick his feet up over poles, and he trots fast, and he trots faster when he’s following other horses!
one time I was riding a horse named Duke and we were doing bounce jumps ( Duke js a 15-17hh horse ) and there were three jumps lined up together and something like 13:37 happened, he jumped on the pole and broke it in half, and I fell off and landed straight on my back and it hurt so bad after that, but my back got better after 2-3 days!
when i started horse riding i wasnt scared because was i was like 5 or 7 I’ve ridden a horse with my cousin so i basically know half of the basics and how some horses arent scary as they seem
Hello! I ride fortnightly, wish I could ride 2 times a week! But it's soo expensiveeee Anyways I love you so much! So nice to see someone who didn't start riding when they were like 3 years old
I wish I could ride even more but yes it’s definitely a pricy hobby 😂 I’m so glad that I’ve found others who also didn’t start riding at such a young age! 💕
Omg if you rember the first time she was on your channle I commented and said "I know a horse slower then Dora, Windy" well she also bucked somone off and I was so surprised like I would never expected that from a sweet kinda grumpy old slow lady ❤ Love your channle btw ❤❤❤
LOVE ur vids!!! I have a story to share about my first show - lol. I lease a grey Time he’s , sassy and sweet. We were approaching the jump and he like- reared mixed with refusal mixed with a buck? Idk, but I stayed on and he made up for it by almost jumping into my lap when we were done (he wanted cuddles and love, Ofc I gave him some!) 💀
A hack to keep your horse moving or if u can tell they r going to be slow put your crop just on he/she bum and it would warn them that would get in trouble if they don’t go.
"This horsefly wants Dora! Get away from my horse!!" Hehe 😈
LOL must protect Dora at all costs 😂

I’m soo glad that you got the confidence to ride again after a fall like that! That’s a big accomplishment ❤️ OMG sounds just like Dora 😂😂

@@The_SwagEquestrian. ahh congrats! Taking leaps like that really help build up your confidence again! Keep it up 🫶🫶
I’m decently early- only 2 hours off, Dora is such a cute horse, she seems very sweet
Dora is the sweetest! I love spending time with but riding her kills me bhahaa omg that’s amazing! Congrats 🥰
I don't think I've never seen a lazy horse who's more willing to canter than trot! 😂 Or a rider who gains confidence from a horse bucking! As someone who lacks confidence I should take note I think lol 🤔
Just one of the many reasons that make Dora so special 😂 each time I have a close call and I manage to stay on I get more confidence in myself! Haha
