Great video! I kept skipping through silhouette tutorials because they were not hitting the spot for me, but this one was well-paced, to the point, and very informative!
Thank you! I was trying to keep the video short for this one! It was boomed directly behind the subject, over the top of the backdrop. I included it in the accompanying pdf as well. Thanks for watching!

That particular stand was the Kupo Folding Base Mini Stand. I’ve added a link in the description if you want to check it out 😊 But it will work with any light stand with a 1/4-20 screw (or even light stands without a screw if you use it with a manfrotto 026 umbrella adapter)
Great question - it gets a little bit more complex the bigger you get, especially if you’re incorporating movement into it, like dance. I actually am planning a setup for another video very similar to what you’ve described, so I’ll post a link when it goes live. How I would do it, is have a spotted light, such as a fresnel, or a light with a reflector dish on the end of a boom arm, up above head height, boomed out over where your subject is dancing, pointed at the background. This gives your the background light. I’d then probably hit the subject with some backlights. These could be in the shot or hidden, but I’d go in the shot for dance - personal taste (tube lights are good if you want to use them in the shot) either side of your backdrop. Hope this helps!
@@CreativePathFilms Yes, it is a help to me. Thanks so much. At least I have an idea as to what is needed and how to go about getting it done. Thanks so much for getting back with me in a timely manner. It is appreciated. You made my day. I plan to be there when you go live. You are the best!!! ☺👍

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Normally, I wouldn't comment or like but I see you're a newer channel and this video is solid. You deserved that like homie. Best wishes.
Thanks Jon! That means a lot and we appreciate that you took the time. Have a great day!
@@CreativePathFilms you're a all-star.

Absolutely amazing video! Short and sweet and nice tips. I've watched so many that are just boring and confusing. Nicely done!
Thank you so much!! 😊
Hi thanks for the video. Very informative, but I was hoping you'd go into detail about where the backlight was placed.

merci bro
Thank you!
Can someone tell me what light stand was used, or a stand that would definitely be compatible with the p7 light in the video?

Do you have a video where you did a silhouette outside
We don’t at the moment, but thanks for the suggestion!
How do you dance without the light being seen when moving around?
