If you've seen the movie Polar directed by Jonas Akerlund (the guy who directed Gaga and Beyonce's music video revisit of Telephone) what you're getting from Mads there is a more comic-book and stylized John Wick type film meets Sin City, so he's getting closer to that Now that Mads has been cast (proper casting this time) of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts 3 installment filming outside London right now, he'll cap his Hollywood run of having been in a Marvel Movie (Dr. Strange), a Bond Film (Casino Royale) and a Disney/StarWars film (Rogue One) with another high profile blockbuster FB3-Potter franchise in 2022. The problem with him being Bond, though he would have been perfect, is he'd need to be in his 40s or younger to do it, like Craig was when he started as Bond, so he could play an older Bond, retired etc, like Craig could, as well. He's so good, he's going to be in the game for awhile yet and while he may never play Bond in the franchise I'll bet someone in Europe will come up with a Bond-like script he'll be sold on and we'll end up seeing something similar in a performance from him in the next 3-5 years. Also, he is going to be playing the lead role in *Billion Dollar Spy* - it's based on the true story of a Soviet who sold Russian secrets to our CIA in the 70s-80s. That's in pre-production right now waiting for him to finish filming as Grindelwald, so assume that filming will begin later this year. That's a hero role (with a twist) not a villain, and it's got an edgy-ness, which is what he likes to pick when he chooses a role. That ought to be a very good film.
