Thank you for showing how to grind exotics. I had problems finding the required mining drill for those veins when using google. Now I know they are unlocked through the workshop.
There are biofuel and electric extractor as well. But they're higher tier blueprints that take considerable time to build up to so not really practical for those instanced missions.
As Benny pointed out in the video, the extractor he used takes a significant amount of exotics to unlock in the first place, so you'll need to start with the exotics you mine in caves or that you extract with the exotic drills from the tech tree before you are able to unlock these.
I didn't realize that was the lower quality buff. Good catch. I've been completely gutting and rebuilding my oldest open world base to be a resupply depot. The purifier didn't exist yet when I built that base so it needs some remodeling. It's a great tip, thanks for pointing that out!
In our open world we've been getting the deposits to spawn in the same 3 spots multiple times in a row. Usually 2 of the deposits are right next to eahother
I've noticed this happen from time to time in our open world as well. And then suddenly is goes back to normal and the veins are scattered again. It's hard to pin down if there's a bug, some kind of intentional mechanic or it's just coincidence.
@benny9 it's really nice when it happens, we mine out the last deposit and the meteor event happens, and we just go right back to where the shack is already built and do it again!
@@Lightndavoid This is what I want to know more about. This was happening for me many months ago so I set up permanent shacks and left the electric extractors installed. I even had the meteor fall on the very shack I was inside of at times! One odd thing that would happen is the extractors would be broken and even removing and replacing them would not always start extraction, though with enough persistence it would begin. More recently I started playing again and I noticed that meteors were almost never falling in my shacks and were even falling much further than they used to. I removed all of my installed extractors and noticed that on the next refresh cycle (every 3hr interval) the empty deposits would despawn and their scanner icon would finally disappear on the map. Before the next 3hr cycle began I cleared all deposits on the map and returned to where my established shacks were. Suddenly the next three meteors were all within the same biome that I typically found them in, but they were new node locations I had never seen before. I have nowhere near enough data to describe what is happening here but there are clearly some mechanics I don't fully understand.
Okay I may have misunderstood this, but how exactly do you get enough exotics in the first place, as a new new player, the even buy the blueprints from workshop that require exotics that youre using to now do these runs?
Sorry, it's really not much of a beginners guide. It's more for grinding exotics. I could have been clearer on that. When you're new, the best way is to hunt exotics in caves. In open world, at the start there's a chance for each cave to contain an exotics node. Every three hours of in game time the caves have another chance to spawn exotics. So there's a never ending supply of cave nodes. It's a slow way to go about it but that's how you get started at first. You'll be tempted to buy other things first but if you want to farm then save up for that first extractor. I'll probably should do another video for that.
@@benny9 That would be great if you did! I played wayyy back on initial launch, saw the steam page again recently and that theyve consistently been updating the game, so decided to hop back into it! Loving the new player solo series as well so eventually when you get into exotics on that series Ill prob see it there!
@@PSYLENCER_ Glad you're enjoying the videos! The game really has improved a lot since initial launch. I've got well over 500 hours now and still having fun. I'll probably get a beginners guide to exotics going on the next couple weeks here. Thanks for watching!
As a new player, I absolutely love this channel. The new player beginner series is especially helpful. Thank you Benny!
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it!
Thank you for covering this!!
No problem!
Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time to put this information together so well.
Thanks, appreciate it!

At Home-base make the Electric Water Purifier as well as the O2 filler. Gives better water with 15% buffs not 'just' 10.

Good stuff!
Thanks!
You can use your fists to kill bees. Not necessarily easier, but definitely doable.
I never thought of even trying that but makes sense. Good to know!

@Lightndavoid that's awesome. We've had them respawn near the last location but not right on the same location. Nice bonus!

Is it not possible to send the exotics via the landingship to the station?
It is not no. Used to be able to but they changed it a while back.
@ Ok thank you! So i don’t need to try it. And btw great video!
@Nicklas7 Appreciate it!
