Great video! I just got a very small bald cypress seedling less then 12 inches tall and I was wondering how to pot it as a starter bonsai. Good info on the deeper pot and water tray 😎👍🏾

Great video. I live in Central Florida. Did a red maple forest planting when the buds swelled in 1st week of Feb, used lava, pumice and pine bark as the mix. All the trees responded well and produced new shoots. Since last 2-3 days, the leaves on 3 out of the 5 trees are wilting and look sad. It's on the ground in my back patio facing west that gets sun from 4pm till sunset. Haven't started to fertilize yet. I water them when the top layer of sphagnum moss looks dry. No sign of any insects. What can I do to save the trees?
Sometimes the sphagnum seems dry but the soil underneath is still wet. It could be over watering. If it's not that, have there been any freezes? (Even tho it's central Florida at the end of march) and if there are absolutely no signs on insects at all.. then it could be disease or fungus. I'd go ahead and move the 2 or 3 that are still doing fine,away from the ones that aren't. I'd start a triple action spray on the trees, every 2 weeks. Check further into the soil for moisture as well.
