- This is my first "Guilty Pleasure" video, where I talk about a movie that I enjoy but most people hate! Can I convince you otherwise? Probably not, but let's have a chat about it anyway!

You've sold a good sell there. I only ever saw Highlander II once (in 1991) but I've never felt the urge to watch - or endure - it again. I enjoyed Highlander 3 but neither of the sequels came close to that fabulous original which I have on Super 8 film. I ran the first reel of that last week and want to watch the whole thing again soon. John.
Hi John, thanks for the comment! I remember seeing some framed Highlander prints in the background of your movie room in some of your videos!
@@TheFlixFiles There are 18 in that set so I don't have enough room for them all. I think I paid £6 for them about 30 years ago. I actually have the 4K of Highlander on order from HMV so I can dip into it for a review. I won't watch it all though as I have the Super 8 print so I'll watch that.

On the 4K topic, I've decided I'm going to have a go at my first 4K review of the ALIEN disc in an upcoming video, are you ok if I mention your ALIEN 4K video? It's that what encouraged me to do my own review, I will of course link it in the description of my video if you're fine with it?
@@TheFlixFiles Whatever you want to do is fine with me so please always go ahead. Try to keep any video review as short as possible within reason. Alien is a bit of a special case as there might be so much to say but plan it out a little before you turn the camera on. I worked on what to include in mine for quite a while but my thinking was that I was only ever going to get the chance to make an Alien video once so it had to be right. I'd change a few things now but I remember that evening after it had gone up thinking that I felt that I'd nailed it with that one. I woke up the following morning to an explosion of the channel which increased over the next few days. My previous 2001 A Space Odyssey upload got discovered as a result of the Alien upload and I was stuck at the keyboard for days responding to comments.
It's your personal story and history with Alien that will make the difference with your own video compared to most others. If you've collected anything about the film or have some toys and models like I do then include them.

It has many flaws, but I still believe it's not as awful as some people think. It'll be interesting to see what reaction I'll get to future guilty pleasures! 🤣

I saw this at the cinema in 91. I consider it the worst film of all time. Sadly you haven't convinced me to revisit it 😂, even the Renegade version. Flash Gordon on the other hand....is number 85 in my current favourite films of all time 👍 Razorback was good too. Your choices of retrospective so far have been really interesting and unusual so I'm looking forward to watching your future uploads (for as long as you're enjoying doing it and finding it cathartic).
I love Flash! If ever there was a property due a remake, Flash Gordon is waiting in the wings! Highlander 2 was always a tough sell! 🤣
