Fishskiff should have more video like this, where it will show the potentiality of this boat. interested to see videos how it does with 3 people on board, Tipping/flipping point of the boat etc.
Thanks for the feedback! That would be great and something we can definitely try and show. Actually one time in rough swells near shore I was flying my drone from the boat and got caught on the side by a 2-3 crashing wave and it just kind of slid down the wave and turned into it because of the new keel. All my gear was still completely dry. I really can throw a lot at this Skiff and still be completely comfortable. Cheers!
Alex, could you please film how to retrieve the fish skiff out of the water using the heavy duty EZ cart (without a trailer) and exiting via a boat ramp? Is there a technique for putting the cart under the boat while still under water? Thanks!!
Absolutely! We regularly head out fishing and filming in the Bonita Springs area. A Sea Eagle meetup would be awesome! Let us know if you are ever in this area.
I just got mine yesterday, it's a good thing you are still young, I'm not sure I'll be able to toss that thing in the back of my CRV without killing my back. I see a boat trailer in my future, that is for sure. Looking forward to getting it out on the water once I finally decide on a 5hp or 9.9hp.
That's awesome! It is a really fun boat but yes sometimes moving it around in a smaller car is tiring. If you do get a boat trailer and have the budget for it the 9.9hp makes this boat fly even with 2 people. However if you want a super lightweight setup the 5hp is much easier to take on and off the back of the boat. Cheers!
That is a super tough question! It completely depends on the situation. I love that the Fastcat 12 fits fully inflated in the back of my pickup truck, just needs to be strapped down. Its a great fishing platform with plenty of room and the bottom is very protected with keel guards but can only take up to a 6HP. For speed and choppy water the FishSkiff with the 9.9 is awesome and fast, it will cut through waves and will get to your fishing spot quickly. They are both really great boats.
I love to see the interest in rigging out this boat. Showing its full potential would be epic. Stay tuned for future videos. We will definitely add it to the list! Cheers!
How comfortable is the Paddleski without the seat? I would think it would give you much. more wiggle room. First time I took mine out, it was me and my daughter and we were fully loaded also with two batteries. No more two batteries, not needed. Next time one battery and by myself with minimum gear. Really curious what the difference in handling with be. Love that little Boston Whaler.
Removing the seat does take away back support so if you are on a long trip you may get tired but like you said it does offer more room for gear and to move about. We have had customers who use our 5" high cushion to sit them off the ground slightly while motoring. I hope that helps! Below is the link to he cushion - www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/seats/inflatable-seat-base
Have you ever tested the fishskiff in mosquito lagoon? That's where I frequent on my yak and wonder how this would handle those areas. Pretty similar to the west coast. But mosquito lagoon has some nasty oyster beds that would scare me in this boat.
I have not tested it over there but many of the areas I use it in SWFL have oyster beds and with the new keel and keel guard it is well protected. I obviously recommend avoiding oyster beds but sometimes they pop out of nowhere when fishing shallow areas. I have had no issues! I think this boat really is an excellent option for the bays of Florida. Cheers!
They are both awesome boats but definitely have their differences. I usually tell customers that the Paddleski is a hybrid, it is a cross between a kayak and a boat. The seats sit lower and it can be paddled with one or two people but can also take up to a 6HP motor. It is great for bays, lakes, and canals and can pack up very small so its very portable. The FishSkiff 16 is going to be more traditional skiff, you sit higher and an electric motor or gas motor is a must. It can take up to 10HP and with the new keel can handle rough open water with ease. It takes longer to inflate since it is a full drop stitch boat and also takes up more space when deflated. If you are looking for more of a boat with deck space and the ability to go faster and go in rougher water I would go with the FishSkiff 16. If day trips are your thing and sometimes you just want to have a relaxing paddle with a portable boat then the Paddleski is perfect. I hope that helps! Be sure to look through our channel as we have videos on both!
@@williambaltazar6902 Great question! The FishSkiff 16 has double layered glued seams. The rest of the boat as well is double layered 1000 Denier PVC. This boat uses a high pressure technology called fusion drop stitch allowing it to be as light as it is and inflate up to 15psi for the most rigidity, this means it has thousands of threads running throughout the inside of the boat for extra strength. We also recommend using 303 Aerospace protectant as it keeps the material healthy for many years. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers!
Absolutely! The honda 5S is lightweight and portable. With the built in gas tank it makes it very convenient. If you will be on the water for a few hours Id recommend an extra small side gas can. The 5S will push one person at about 15-17mph and 2 people 12-14mph. I hope that helps!
We no longer have a dealer with a showroom in this area with a showroom but feel free to ask any questions you have and we're happy to answer them. Both models are great!
This boat is rated at a 17 minute inflation time with our Mega Pump. If you are folded up the boat and inflating and deflating each time I would say with gear and all it takes about 30 minutes to fully set up. Hope that helps!
Yes please rig it out!
Yes!
Rig it out, please! Let's see what the FishSkiff can do!!
I think we could make a pretty epic setup. I will take you guys through the process with me also!
@@SeaEagleBoats a bass fishing setup would be dope: outboard, trolling motor, wheels and sonar 🤌🤌🤞🤞🤞
Keep doing more!

Awesome boats.

I’d LOVE to bring my FC14 out with you guys for a day!

I would love to see you out with the fastcat 12 or the 14 on the ocean
We can definitely do that! They handle great and Id be more than happy to get out there and put one of them to the test. Maybe this week? Stay tuned!
Yes, please do a rigging video. Thank you.
We definitely will. I think it would help to show that you can make this boat even cooler! Cheers!
Do you prefer the fishskiff or the fastcat 12?

Yes, please rig the fishskiff up, lets see what you can do with that boat. 🤔🤔

I’m just wondering, am I able to use it with the 2.3 Honda? I would like to get the 5 horse but I’m not able to because of money reasons.
You absolutely can use the 2.3 honda with it. The shaft will be a a little long but It will get you to your fishing spots.
Hi Thank you for the video. I wanted to know what is the difference between the FishSkiff and Paddleski? Looks like a great adventure 👍

Purchase a sea skiff but need to have more information. Are seams welded or glue? What is a drop stitch?

Would the Honda 5S do the job? The 9.9 is a tight fit to travel with.

Do you have a place to see those boats? we are stuck between the Fast-12 and the Fish 16. we are local just north of Fort Myers

We have one coming soon so definitely stay tuned. Maybe I'll take one over to a lake for some freshwater fishing? Cheers!
Rig it out.
Show a tricked out video, my sea eagle is set up like a pros bass boat
That must be epic! I love it as it is but I think it would be amazing with some cool accessories added to it.
