This is one of those comedies that's so funny you have to watch it multiple times because you miss some of the jokes while laughing so hard at the previous joke. Just solid gold.

I remember one day my older cousin said, "Who wants some Arnie Palmies." while holding a Arizona can. I starting laughing because it was so random and that I knew that reference that I said back to him, "It's Christinth! Are you stupid or are you deaf?" We were dying laughing.
Will Ferrell is the catalyst for making anything funny. But the other actors nailed it as well. Good on them for being so humorous. The world is pretty depressing, so it is good there are some folk who are expert at entertainment.

Not only is this scene very funny. It is also very smart. All of a sudden Allen is presented as the one focal point of safety and sanity, in a world that has gone completely insane. The way Terry calls for Allen is pure desperation. And the moment Allen leaves Christinith she repeats his name as well. One of the best comedies ever.
