Bed Bath and Beyond | Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg | The Other Guys - Кино
Keaton stole every scene he was in in this hilarious movie
He was my favorite part, especially the TLC references lmao
"It's not bed, bath, and way the fuck out there"
I didn't know until he was on Kevin Nealon's podcast that he did stand up before concentrating on acting
Imagine how much better this movie would have been if it was Ferrell and Keaton instead of Ferrell and that unlikable uncharismatic plank of wood marky mark
@@TehhSmoothe Down the hall.
God damn Michael Keaton is a gem of a comedic actor.
We have all the new guys, but Keaton is like Mt Rushmore, always there
he’s been my favorite actor since i was a kid, he can do it all.
He used to do stand-up in the 80s
@@riod43 He also did comedic films in the 90s.
@@mightisright I had no idea 🤣
His dropping of his entire tough, take no crap demeanor as a captain and his change to a happy, go lucky store manager is just so amazing. Especially when talking to Alan and Terry. He’s so excited to see them haha
"You here for the bath mats? 😀"
He seems to really enjoy being a manager at bed bath and beyond
@@Bowiiihowdy I bet he found a universal remote controller there, which is why he is able to work two jobs
I doubt I'd love this movie (despite liking both Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg), but Michael Keaton's performance in just this one scene makes me want to see it.
@@archietuttle2682 Man it's kinduva quiet burn, but this is a GREAT movie. The first 10 minutes you're like wtf, and then it's basically jokes in every scene. Keaton kills. They all do.
It’s so funny to see he genuinely enjoys being a bed bath beyond manager more than a police captain lol
Those two jobs combined in NY, NY, I bet he’s pulling +$200,000 a year. Combined that with his wife’s income that puts him at like $280,000.

Easily they best part of this movie
The best part is that he read that on the same clipboard
@@alexanderjakel They don't call it the hot tips for nothing!
So unexpected. 😂😂
Their commitment to the TLC bit throughout the whole movie though... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
These quirks the characters were given really took the movie to another level.
It’s the small details that make a comedy. I think Knives Out is a prime example.
Look here, MH... don't go chasin' waterfalls. I think you're movin' too fast.
And *Touched by an angel* 😅
However I never seen this movie? Michael Keaton makes every movie
“We got a full moon and people are going to be amped!”😂😂
Hi.
I like how Keaton acts different when he's playing as the captain, store manager, and regular.
Nailed being a lovable guy that obviously wants to be friends with his underlings and can't help breaking his compartmentalization
Are you here for the bathmats?
Hahahaha his face before he says "the new bath mats are here!" 😂
I had to take a double look, L.O L.🤣👍
"Whoa oh" 😂😂😭😭💀💀
I can tell you as someone who works at bed bath and beyond this is completely true. We go crazy when new stuff comes in. He reminds me of my boss. Its a chill environment so when I watch this part I always laugh because it's almost spot on.

That is the classic line from Hill Street Blues. Sarge Esterhazy always said that.

I love how genuinely excited the team was about the new bathmats. RIP Bed Bath & Beyond.
It was the BEYOND section that killed them. It was like some other dimensional purgatory in there.🍥

"You gotta see it Alan you've got to!"😂😂😂

Easily one of my favorite Keaton roles. Hes too damn funny every scene he is in.
Captain seems like he would be an awesome boss at BB&B 🤣
Even though he is an A-lister, Michael Keaton is one of the most under rated actors alive today. The man has unbelievable range and can take on almost any role and nail it.
I like that Michael Keaton is so respected as an actor BUT he should be given a list roles. He is fantastic
"Underrated" is the most overused word on youtube. By definition an A-lister is not underrated. They get top billing, any choice of role, and the biggest paycheck. Underrated is someone who's name you don't even know and only ever been in a handful of projects. Keaton starred in multiple blockbusters...
He's underrated because his substance issues in the past caused him a lot of issues getting roles for a long while. I'm glad he got clean and his career is getting back on track. Terrific actor. And a very sweet person.
@thomasritter3391 first I heard of it.
Plus, he's Batman
When Captain was talking...
"I like to keep the oak separate from the maple..."
Who was he talking to? Their was no one around. LOL.
I saw that too! Maybe a different employee on the other side of the shelf? We never see a head on the other side, but they could be on the floor stocking the bottom shelf or something?
I’ve been working retail for 5 years and I’ll tell you this…you tend to talk out loud when your frustrated by how customers put stuff back on the shelf
@@LucianDevine I think he was practicing his pitch to sale.
I've ALWAYS wondered that too, because he's clearly talking to someone else and not himself.

I remember seeing an interview Michael Keaton did where he was told about the role and said "Even if this Best Buy joke is the only gag I get to play in this movie, I'm so in!"
Never thought I'd see Batman so happy to work at Bed, Bath, and Beyond as his side gig......
Takes the secret identity thing up a notch

Lmao that little jump jog at the end “let’s be careful out there” he wanted to break a huddle so bad
This whole movie is full of awesome scenes. Underrated gem
I adore this movie, but I don’t think it can be classified as underrated anymore. It gets a lot of love and hype, deservedly so.
I wonder if he doesn’t know the TLC references but keeps hearing their songs at Bed Bath and Beyond
Holy shit. That's it
Brilliant 👏👌👏
@@mikewest712 That HAS to be it! He keeps hearing them over the loud speakers of the store, but doesn't know that it's TLC!
Actually I heard there’s a deleted scene where he drives his kid to school and the kid keeps listening to that cd. So maybe it’s just subconsciously in his mind.
I'm like Gene, because when I saw this movie (2016), I'd never heard of TLC and didn't know any of the references in the movie. I then checked out "Don't go chasin' waterfalls on youtube, and realized I knew the tune, so I must have heard it somewhere. Maybe at BB&B, who knows?
"Apartment pop" 😂
Great Callback
Keaton's jovial little backwards hop skip was the most redeeming part of this entire movie to me.

You could be quoting radiohead or stone temple pilots instead.
I wish I could be 10% as excited about my job as he is managing a bed bath and beyond.
I love how great of a boss Gene is that everyone in BB&B seems to love their work environment..
I love the deadpan way he says "Apartment pop.", he's not enjoying it but feels like it MUST be said lol

"Just call me 'Captain.' Not 'Captain Gene.' I don't have a kiddie show." This was was golden in that movie! 😂🤣
It sounds CREEPY - “Captain Gene”
I just love how much more he clearly enjoys his job at Bed, Bath and Beyond compared to his job as police chief
2:33 Best quote ever.
Man, I was really hoping they would show us those new bathmats.

What I appreciate more than anything is the comedy is witty and the writing for the comedy is gold. As in, real effort went into this film.
Keaton was by far the best part of the movie and I am so glad this revived his career.

All of my friends saw Step Brother if not in the theater then on DVD so every single one of us saw The Other Guys in the theater.
I think it revived his career, too. I think because of his comedic performance here he also got Toy Story 3, and then Birdman. People remembered Keaton as the strong comedic actor he always had been because of this part

Keaton is a comedic genius
The Mr Mom maxi pad scene clinched that in the 80s!
I'd like to know who thought of putting TLC references in, absolutely hilarious. Having Michael Keaton deliver them was perfection.

This entire clip is hilarious. Starting with his announcement to his coworkers to his acknowledgment that Terry’s line was very nice so of course the TLC quotes.

Michael Keaton needs to do more comedy movies like he used to. He's hilarious 😂
This is one of the funniest cop movies in a long time. It's overt in its sarcasm and double entendre.
I would 100% watch a Michael Keaton spin off movie
I’m a peacock,Captain …you gotta let me fly.
Michael Keaton was the sleeper hit of this film! Had no idea he was in it until I watched it and he CRUSHED it!
I found it absolutely hilarious that when they get on the bed so "no one can hear them if the room is bugged", it's a bunch of dumb useless shit, but then they get out, turn on the lights, start talking loud and the first thing Mark starts to talk about is exactly where he works at lmao.
With how happy he is at Bed, Bath and Beyond I’m convinced the being Captain of the police department is Gene’s side gig
