I didn’t get into Skyrim all that much as a kid or teenager when it came out, I watched others play mainly. I was too big into COD back then. All my friends were playing it nonstop. It was just one of the games of that era I missed. I regretted it at that time, but I don’t now. Cut to now. I’m 24 now. When I built my PC last year, I forgot I had bought Skyrim on my Steam account on my parents computer back in like 2014. For the first time, I booted it up alone. No one around me, not watching. My first playthrough of it. I opted to just add a few Mods to keep it as authentic to the original as possible. 230+ hrs (and more to go) later, and Skyrim is one of my favorite games of all time, bar none. Never has a game world made me feel so at peace. Never has a game world made me feel like I was at home. And no game in the past 5 years has transported me to a new place in the same way that Skyrim has. I’m so happy I waited to play it, albeit, unintentionally. The game just feels so right at this point in my life. It’s helped me find peace and comfort in myself and every time I imagine the game world, I feel at home. Skyrim is not only one of the best games I’ve ever played, it’s a game that has provided me comfort at a time when I needed it most. I’m writing this while listening to this on my lunch break at work. I love Skyrim so much, and I’m so grateful I finally started my first playthrough.
Genuine question. I enjoy skyrim but I always get bored and restart after getting to level 30ish. What do you do for fun at 100+ or 200+ hours? Are there good radiant quests or just questlines hidden around? Do you use the wiki to find new quests to do or just wander around playing?
I get excited when I meet new people that play Skyrim. It literally brings people together. I think the world would be a better place if everyone played Skyrim. This hits me in the heart every time I listen to the music, I fall asleep many nights listening to rainy night music and ambience
Mind over matter. If you put your mind in a cooler place or think cold things it will help. mind over matter , if ya dont mind it dont matter. -Enjoy your day.
Winterhold is my favourite hold and this is the perfect reminder of why. The more bleak and inhospitable the outdoors, the more cozy and serene the indoors.
i reminds of this very specific period of time, i was maybe 13 14, trying to fix a broken load order for my moded game, my parents were on vacation and my grandma was taking care of us. i remember her calling me to come down for lunch, while i was eager to fix the issues so i can finally play this game. she passed away this year, and weirdly this dumb little period with this game reminds me of her. i cant even remember if i fixed the game and played it at all at that point, but i guess its not even important.
I’m not a winter guy. It’s summer now… but I love that it’s uploaded now when it is not here. It balances the natural sweltering heat of now. Love these ambience videos.
Screen casting these videos in the house, along with the music, makes me feel right at home in Skyrim. I miss the days when i had all day to walk around and hunt and explore the lands of Skyrim. All the elder scroll games soundtracks are great, but Skyrim has got to be the absolute best.
This makes me sad. The music brings me back to being 13 again when this released. Nothing and i mean nothing was anything like this for me. I always had someone to talk to or adventures to begin. Friends to make and enemies to conquer. Becoming an adult is one of the worst things i ever decided to do. Ive lost my hopes and dreams. My joy. The mysticism for things like this still twinkle faintly and i want to reach out and take it. I hate feeling drug under the depths away from what i love to live. It doesn't even feel like life anymore. The only peace i find is when I'm realms away. Thank you skyrim. And thanks to who uploaded these works of art. I hope to see you all in savrngard. We can share a mug of the finest mead and tales of our greatest adventures.
ngl when i play the game nowadays i wander around and explore the map. i don't know why i do this but its fun. Also just spending the night in the arcanaeum (winter hold library) and just reading the in game books has been so fun. This game will always have a special spot in my heart
I remember back in winter of ‘11, knowing I wanted to be a wizard, Harry, and journeying to the College. Took a coach to Solstheim, traded for needed supplies, and headed north. Still remember that troll on the trail, way too strong to take on. And that first sighting of the ruined town. The sense of warmth inside the tavern. The anticipation of reaching the college, and the long, hard path to becoming its Archmagus.
Been having lots of trouble focusing on an essay I have to write. Pacing around wrapped in a blanket, listening to this and imagining I'm a mage has allowed me to focus and get it done.
I started to play Skyrim at release day and almost always I ended up with warrior build. Lately I started again, but as a mage + I avoid quick traveling and buffing my character for any cost. And again I have joy from the game :-) As a mage apprentice I admire this video. Cheers!

In my first Skyrim play-through, just out of Helgen, I think I stole something from a home in Riverwood, and when approaching Whiterun, the guards approached me for the bounty I had incurred. I evaded them and ran east, and then North before staying put in Morthal for a while. I started the vampire questline there. Before finishing the quest, I made my way West to the College of Winterhold, but before entering I had to summon an atronach. To do this I had to buy a spell book in Whiterun I think it was. There’s nothing like your first play through of Skyrim.
@@elanorglf I used to work with a guy from Linton who drove all the way to Terre Haute every day of his job. Too much driving for me, I don't know how he did it.
I will never forget this game.. How beautiful it made my childhood.. The best moments I had ever felt for a video game😍❤️ Million thanks to Bethesda for making this masterpiece 😭😭😭
Thank you for this. Brings such good memories of trekking in the Northern parts of Skyrim with the Frostfall (cold weather immersion mod) on. Having to take the weather, especially snowing and blizzards into account made all the difference and brought the environment into life much more.
As I begin this day, help me to remember that I belong to you. Guide my spirit through your wisdom so that I do not stumble or falter as I walk in your path. Amen.
Thank you so much for this. I am working on a huge project for work and just listened to this almost all the way through while working! Thanks so much!!
The truth is that I never played that game, I wish I did, but never did, but still, I’m listening this masterpiece and the whole damn soundtrack every time cause it’s amazing and it feels like I did play the game when I listen to it, I feel at peace, i feel the wind, the breeze, it’s like being really there when your mind needs a rest and peace
I've always chosen The Path of Magic after My escape from Helgen & never looked back. Who knew I would become The Archmage of Winterhold? Surrounded by cold, Winterhold College feels like a place of warmth to me. Just as darkness can show you The Light, Let The Cold show ye The Warmth. Stay Warm Well😏.
You're at the college of winterhold and a blizzard is blowing through the area. You and 3 fellow students make your way into town to stock up on Sweatrolls, pies, meats, tea and mead. You fill multiple packs and head back to the college just before the intense snow freezes the bridge, denying access to all whether entering or exiting. You four arrive back at the dorm in which the fireplace is bigger than usual, to keep the building warm. Your other dorm mates enter your room and join you and the 3 friends. Before you know it there's around 10 of you, all huddled together in your robes and blankets. Sharing snacks and drinks. Telling stories. Laughing deep laughs. And you turn your head to face the glass window to see the snow flaring around. You can't see much except the ocean below. It's loud but not loud enough to drown out the sound of bonding. Savos Aren enters your dorm to pass around hot cocoa that he and the staff made for all students and other staff. This may be a dangerous and blinding snow storm but... it's an enjoyable time
I always loved the CoW after I got some mods to make it better. It always seemed to empty and pointless and dead in vanilla Skyrim. I got two or three mods on it and it made it warmer, more alive feeling.
I sometimes wish i could just go live in Skyrim with all of its beauty and people and who gives a damm if im not the Dragonborn...I just wanna get out of this crazy would I live in...
Everyone loves skyrim. Think we need a remake again. Fix all the bugs. Add more content. And do the same with oblivion. Bring to the moden age. Without changing the music
The track at 42:00 is called Imperial Throne. If you look at the track list on the Skyrim original full soundtrack by elmostrito007, you will see the name of every song there. It's how I've learned the names of my favorites. But they are all good anyway. I Also recommend the Skyrim Exploration Suite.
Are all of these tracks Skyrim tracks? I could swear there is a Guild Wars Track in between. Maybe from Eye of the North, but I'm not sure. I always find it sad, that there are close to no Guild Wars Videos like these, eventhough I think some of Soules pieces from that time are one of his best. Like Tascas Demise.
Skyrim feels like home ❤
Always will.
Its so crazy , it is xD and stil after years.
Skyrim will always be home.
Allways...and forever
Why have I not made a room in my house to look like this?
Skyrim, still to this day has some of the best video game music ever made.
Jeremy Soule is a fantastic composer
It's only like 12 years old though
there is also a 6 hr skyrim ambiance on spotify. I love walking listening to it. It's like being in the game
skyrim and halo the goats

The heat has been unbearable the past couple weeks. I can't sleep properly. This mix/Skyrim music in general helps me cool down a little.
I feel ya, do most of my work from home but storyboarding in this microwave of a room is killing me

I usually listen to Skyrim music while studying because it really makes you feel into whatever you are doing. The immersion feeling is insane.
I had a three hour round trip in a snow storm today. This was the soundtrack to that adventure. Thanks for posting.
