The history the guy told doesn't match the source from tibet. When Shamar rinpoche went to Nepal and brought nepali soldiers to fight tibetan government because of his personal fued with tibetan government. At the time, tibet has only 5000 tibetan ill trained policemen or soldiers . The truth is nepali army fought with our monks, who were called dop top. Initially, the nepali army had the upper hand when they fought, but when tibetan were able to gather enough monks to fight nepali soldiers, nepali soldiers had to bear humiliating defeat and Shamer Rinpoche commit suicide and Janga Bahadur had to flea to England. Also problem arise with tibetan that they don't have a proper chain of command and information when the tibetan army leader passed away due to heart problem the bureaucrats don't don't have any ink link of what is happening in the war zone and they were eager to settle the matter peacefully. The government sought help from China, but the help wasn't useful at all . The Chinese commender was eager to fulfill his pocket, which he was bribed by the nepali government, and settled matter in nepali's favor, which was discovered after when he arrived in China and he was forced to commit suicide.
Tibetan were supported by Chinese army don't know and after war china slowly started capturing Tibet .
