I’d properly suggest putting the plate on the plastic grill where that old tacky black plastic was (the two groove lines in the number are for lining up your number plate) either drill out the holes you need or use the adhesive pads for the plate?

get one of those license plate light things that are velcro mounted or sum so when ur driving it like projects ur plate number or any image onto the road, and when u dont want it on, disable it. thats what i suggest for anybody who has a car and they want to be able to show the clean design without a random plate in the center

Side mounted moped plate on the front of the Mini sounds good.
With the new grill he is now an extra speedy man macheese
Is that hole in the grill going to be left open? It would look good with the cover over it since I don't think it would look as tasteful with a tow hook in there.
I thought about doing that, but wasn't sure how it would look like with my paint colour

RSIC6 do a wing similar to the old GP2 G Wing, Duell AG do a nice carbon fibre wing for these too

If you really want a modern Mini, I would recommend you the 1st Gen Mini Cooper S (r53), especially the 2005 and 2006. You are going to fell in love with them easily.

That intercooler is very thin compared to the GP3 intercooler. The GP3 intercooler is 4.5 inches (11.43cm) thick.
