Hi there! That failure can cause the tda getting very hot and a little hiss at the treble with no input at all, i twist the resistor and ir seems fine to me. Im watching all your videos! Great channel!
TDA chip is probably blown. If you order one then make sure that you get the correct PIN configuration. They are available with differing bends on the pins. TDA blows when the tab is shorted to chassis 0V.
hello, I have a JBL 515 XT it been working fine I didn't used for a while, the other day I try to turn it on and didn't work, I can hear a little noise but I do not hear the click, what do you think is wrong. Greetings from Reno Nevada USA
hello, I have a jbl 515xt, it was sounding normal, then it went off it didn't sound again, the next day I turned it on and it worked again normal what will it be? What should I change? I always see your videos, greetings and thanks.
I was using JBL 515 this Sunday I turn all volume to the end and bass to the max and it just switched off it self and I can't switch on. No sign of power goes in. What can be the problem?
Power board blown. Needs the modification. Can be caused by unstable chip(s) in the bass compressor circuit on input board, It need the reliability modifications. Then it will be very reliable.
Hmm, open it up and check all the cables are connected correctly. Did the power input cable get yanked during the fall? Inspect the connectors carefully and make sure the ribbon cable has not come dislodged.
Hi I have a eon 615 it plays at very low volume and as you try to increase you would hear a clipping sound and the woofer stops completely and only the driver plays can you please help me .....I'm from Trinidad....
If it is caused by defective electronics then it is a rare failure mode. It is far more likely that you have a defective LF driver unit. Are you getting lots of high treble but very little bass? I cant be sure from remote diagnosis.

Hey what is the number for the ic chat is close to the main transformer and has a inductor next to it?
indicator? 🤔
Oops i meant inductor
@@razenby ment inductor
What is the wattage of the woofer and how many audio amplifier ic is there ?
about 200W the LF amp is a discrete servo and out put stage. There are no power amp chips at all.

It will be one of teh usual suspects. If you have no power light then the Switch Mode Power Supply has failed. See videos.

Have a look at the inductor next to the LNK302 chip - see the video about this component.Very common cause of random cut out.

fatigued leads on many powered speakers, mackie, rcf, db tech
I worked in aviation electronics and strain relief was king. JBL use shitty connectors and they are often loose fright out of the box.
