The only point of this trial is to convict him of something. It would get reversed on appeal just as the Latisha James trial will be. No one suffered any damages in either, so no injured party. If I were Trump, I may just take the contempt charge and go to my son's graduation, but knowing this judge, he'd put him in jail for the remainder of the trial. It's a white collar crime, which federal prosecutors declined to prosecute because there was no intent. He didn't use campaign funds. They just don't like the way he wrote it down.
