This is my latest build, which is a rotary tool powered by my CNC machined air/steam turbine. Last year i made a similar build, a turbine powered drill: • Turbine Drill Prototype . This idea came to me when my previous flex shaft of my rotary tool had come to it's end after a lot of use. I dissasembled the hole thing and took apart the spindle which had it's ball bearings completely destroyed. After buying a pair of bearings, i made the housing out of copper pipe which had the exact internal diameter to fit the bearings. After that it was a matter of few hours to find and fit the other components. The only thing that still needs to be fixed is to make the coupler that connects the turbine's wheel to the spindle, run absolutely true and also correct the square hole in the spindle's shaft, beacause it's runing eccentrically causing a lot of vibrations. And something last, this is my first video of me talking;)

That looks fairly powerful. It was nice to hear you speak. I didn't expect that.
He speaks!!!! Nice vids; voice-overs great.
You're a great inventor. As a painter, what we yearn for is something that would allow us to use an airless sprayer to cut a clean line where a wall meets a ceiling, without overspray getting on the ceiling. Closest tool I've seen so far is the Spray Guide tool (videos on RUclips) but it has its faults, including the wheel often wandering where it wants to and the width of the wheel itself preventing the paint from getting right into the edge. It also can't get into corners. Not just walls and ceilings either but anywhere a clean line is needed using a spray gun. Develop something foolproof and you make a billion.
He speaks!
I don't understand why he stopt whit talking!
awesome to hear you speak finally!! :D i love your videos!
awesome engineering, and fantastic to hear you talking / describing the project too - thanks for sharing this.
nice video but for the next you should adjust the sound so it comes from both earphones equally. Keep up the good work.
it does for me
vert nice! the vacuum cleaner tube! genius!
Rulof Maker Thanks!;)
+Rulof Maker Wella rulof :D
Ehi rulof! Il mio idolo guarda i video del mio secondo idolo wow
You talked! Ive been subscriber for a while and i dont remember you ever talking! great videos!
YAY! You're finally talking in your videos looks like you've earned another subscriber!
Outstanding! Love the narration too! Thanks for sharing!!
as usual Johnny cheers for the share and great job on the build! cracking build quality!! very clever nice simple maintainable design
Great video as always. Thanks for the narration!Edit: What do you do for a living? I'm guessing mechanical engineer or dentist.
cool vocie :D
Again nice. Have you considered making custom brush motors?
seems this have a higher rpm than dremel, wonder do it also have any power or torque. maybe i should also diy one :D thx johnny, awesome video, and finally hear your voice haha
Hard to tell on a video, but it sounds super loud. Looks like it works pretty well though. Awesome project, thanks for sharing.
Is there anyway to regulate the speed by controlling the airflow, without losing torque?
i use the same couplers there awsome
sounds like the dentist
Good job :)
Epic!
Could you make a video on how to make this machine from scratch.
WRITING ON WOOD AND METAL!
nice job.. should get serious and start building your own line of air powered air tools. wont be suprised if people have already stolen ideas from your past videos and used then in their own commercial products
Woah!! Cool! 0_0
Should be called how to cut with air
Can you make me a Turbine? $$
