    Yea, this isn't really about sampling. Its more about sound design and composing and how to make your composition sound like a sample. With that said, it's still really cool and very informative✌.

    • @ohbears439
      @ohbears439 5 лет назад +14

      they mean creating the actual "samples" to then be used on tracks (mainly hip-hop/trap), avoiding the usual legal battles that have plagued hip-hop since its birth. Look up the Drum Broker, Jake One or the most prolific is Frank Dukes. basically making fake Library music, i think its a great movement.

  • @Stevil935
    @Stevil935 5 лет назад +27

    It sounds cool, but what does this have to do with creating custom samples? This is loop creation. You should make a video on actual sample production. Right down to recording the individual notes. I'd also like to know where you got those drum samples.

    • @diymusicbiz
      @diymusicbiz 5 лет назад +6

      So what you're looking for is production and or composition. What they're showing is how to make the melodies sound like samples ripped from a source. Should they have said that in the title...meh most should know how to create melodies already. The rub here is the processing

    • @Stevil935
      @Stevil935 5 лет назад +1

      samples, not loops. they are showing us how loops are created and/or arranged. what i was asking for was their sample creation process. the 1/4th of a second audio clips/sounds/noises that are added to synthesizers/samplers which you can then play. surely you are familiar with the concept?
      my point was that i have no interest in watching videos on loop creation. i can write my own loops (or 'melodies').The post processing lesson is somewhat useful I suppose, but really I'd be far more interested in knowing what professionals use as samples when creating new synthesizers and such.

    • @diymusicbiz
      @diymusicbiz 5 лет назад +10

      Am I missing something here? They just showed you each layer used in the sample and how to process it to make it sound as if the source were coming a richer medium
      Samples= are premade audio 1 shots, phrases and loops you utilize
      what is your definition of a sample?

    • @OfejEdafeadhe
      @OfejEdafeadhe 5 лет назад

      so there’s a misunderstanding here. Sampling means as far as i understand taking audio from one source and reinterpreting it elsewhere. Stevil935 is talking about using samples withing a synthesizer, whether that’s granular synthesis, or something else along those lines, he is talking about synthesis using a sample as the basis. This video is about something else. The video talks about creating melodies/loops/arrangements/compositions with a similar approach to people such as frank dukes etc in order to avoid royalty splits and conflicts which and encourage creativty, which can be issues when you simply take from another song (which is also called sampling)

    I question you when you are staring at the screen and demonstrating your track, and you don't see that the "Toy Piano" track is peaking the output of the H-Delay because you have the output knob cranked. Perhaps you need some training on Digital Audio Principles. Digital clipping is vastly different from Analog clipping, because digital is literally just an error in the code. There isn't enough room in the Bit Depth of the code to handle that amount of Amplitude (signal power). It is a very basic and core principle...

    I'm very fed up of seeing black artists always been used and exploited by others this a trend that as been around since muddy water and you name it....
    This dude say " this is a track that me and blabla.. created . Then after he says this is blabla.... He plays most the instruments in this track. "" LET ME ASK YOU : DOES HE GET FAIR SHARE OF HIS WORK? .. SO THIS NEED TO STOP BLACK ARTISTS NEED TO STOP SELLING THEMSELVES ON A CHEAP TO THESE SHARKS. WHO AFTER THEY FINISH TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOU MOVE ON TO THE NEXT TARGET. IS BEST FOR US TO REMAIN BROKE THAN KEEP FEEDING THESE CROOKS.
    let give you an example: if this black man who is the real talent behind that beat offer himself to the same production company who requested the beat , he will automatically be turned down. But yet they've been consuming his creation for perhaps a wile, but since blacks never receive the credit they deserve. It's a shame. Another example, if this black man decide to open his own studio so he can produce the same thing he will automatically be refused a loan at any bank under the pretext that is too risky and not a viable business or similar BS .... But in contrary the white dude will get all requested credit plus long term support. Now tell us why?????
    Yet everyday there are new songs new commercial, new score.....it's a shame.
