What are treasures?
"Treasure is an important Stage Reward which may be obtained upon clearing one of the main story stages. Each stage has a Treasure named after a memento from the location, though standard icons are used instead of images. Each Treasure exists in up to 3 tiers, which are called Inferior, Normal, and Superior - their icons are colored bronze, silver and gold, respectively. Treasures are extremely important throughout the game and are recommended to collect all of them before continuing with the game.
Completing a regional collection of Treasures gives the player permanent upgrades to many aspects of the game, some of which do not have a counterpart in the XP-purchasable upgrades. Examples include massively increased cat health or attack power, debuffs to Aliens, or improvements to certain abilities. The effect of the boost depends on the quality of the various Treasures in that collection. Obtaining all Superior Treasures in a chapter awards a massive amount of XP via Catnip Challenges, peaking at 5,000,000 for Cats of the Cosmos Chapter 3.
Most activated Treasure effects are permanent for each player and carried through all stages; the effect then stacks additively with any other Treasure set effects already active or subsequently acquired. The only exception is the Mystery Mask, which affects one chapter's final boss but not the others.
The Cat Unit and Alien enemy stats provided on this wiki are with all Treasures obtained, except when stated otherwise ("initial stats" are what a unit has at level 1 without any Treasures). Abilities, however, are always described without the Fruit Treasures' bonuses. "

@@Mr.GrayGuy Well I didn't like the fact that you have to play the same stage over and over again to progress so I quit
I can feel the grind again after opening a new JP account since I don't have much to do in my main EN account. At this point, with Battle Cats being over a decade old, I doubt PONOS would bother with the arduous task of treasure grinding. I wouldn’t be surprised if they opened up an Aku Realms chapter and gave us something like Relic or Aku Treasures to grind again.
This is a shame since treasure grinding is such a vital task starting with Empire of Cats and turns away a lot of potential long-time players. However, I think it is also one of the reasons the community (at least those who stayed) developed a very well-made wiki over the years. This is among many reasons, such as non-checkable stats. I've been playing since 2015, so I've practically gotten used to PONOS' many wild decisions, and they're always smoking crack whether they come as good or bad.
small correction for the video:
superior treasures don't have a 25% chance of showing up, the 25% chance is multiplicative of the treasure base chance of 35%, so in reality the chance of dropping a superior treasure is actually slightly less than 9%, meaning on average 10 stage replays
even if you consider treasure festivals where treasure base chance is 70%, the chance is still only about 17-18%, which means around 5-6 replays to get superior treasures
well its 9% if no treasure is unlocked, if you already have inferior or normal then its much higher, on average i think 5 tries for superior in my experience
i remember having to clear ITF london 21 times for the superior treasure. good times.
I've been playing battle cats for nearly if not a year and i recently got into CoTC 3 and man i dont want to grind for treasures i completely agree with these solutions, i recently got into UL too and i still dont have CoTC 3 treasures even thinking that is the last chapter where you have to grind for treasures it doesnt motivate me and i think it wont motivate anyone, i hope ponos finds a solution for this, great video bro

Grinding speedups from blitz stages just for this reason 💪
considering how they’re implementing optional ads for rewards to entice newer players maybe ponos can implement an option to watch an ad for a superior treasure after a victory like how they do with xp stages so there’s a few times a day where they can easily get treasures and can come back easier instead of dedicating large amounts of time for tedious grinding that will put off new players from playing the game when they hit a roadblock

For one, I don’t think there should be tiers of treasures. Just one treasure you get from each stage, no inferior or superior or whatever just treasure. And two, make it just guaranteed on the second completion of the level (still possible on first completion). Treasures are a cool way to boost the player from effort, but right now it’s far too grindy (along with being required for progression basically) and turning away new players.
Another idea they could do if they want to keep the tiers is they could possibly make a random treasure guaranteed on the first completion. If you got inferior, you could complete it again to have a guaranteed chance to get a higher tier, if you get normal the next tier would be guaranteed superior. So at max you would have to complete each stage 3 times, but even that is a bit excessive, but better than the current system.

I had to defeat one stage 17 times to get a superior

i think they should make it so if you win a stage 3 times you get a guaranteed superior treasure so you dont have to beat a level like 15 times (that happens to me like once per chapter even when its a treasure festival)
