as he quoted on an Instagram reel a year back regarding his desktop: "organized chaos", which maybe was of some inspiration for his new album "Comfort in Chaos"? Just a guess though.
This is why I respect John Summit he’s not a gatekeeper. He shares his presets and process. It’s wild how life turns out, because I remember watching his tutorials, not realizing who he’d become today. Honestly, some of us probably have hidden gems sitting on our laptops. It's a bit selfish, though, because we put countless hours into our craft, even when it’s just a hobby that brings us joy. It only takes that one song & it can change your whole life.
Deep end started his career then he kept the momentum by releasing banger underground tracks, following hits like where you are and shiver to put him on the map internationally. Yes 1 song can blow you up, but to keep the momentum going is the tuff part.
@@Markreid716 It’s hard to say, both Summit and Acraze blew up through remixes, with TikTok playing a role in their rise. However, I feel like John Summit has a stronger catalog more originals, better ideas, I guess. Sometimes, you just have to let the music speak, but maybe you're right Acraze didn’t fully capitalize on his moment. Branding and team behind an artist can also make a huge difference. Take a look at Mau P, for example, he rebranded after being known as Maurice West. There could be many factors at play, but Acraze is still performing shows, so he seems to be doing well regardless.
@@edwinbob9483 no doubt acraze is well relevant in the dance space, summit just happens to sell out MSG 3 nights in a row thru the fanbase he obtained throughout the years. Not many know but there’s no way people actually think summit is making the records all by himself. He obviously has help by guys like gorgon city and others while getting on tour lol
@@yeezythabest I literally love how this is a moment to show you and everyone here that it is possible to make great music, even with the simplest of tools!
Simple production technique, but you can tell he has a very advanced sense of musicality. Those “simple” chords that he begins the project with are not simple I’m blown away that he managed to come up with this track from just those root chords
How To Make A Simple Reese Bass: Choose a SAW wave (Operator, Serum, etc.), lower cut off to around 200hz (EQ), add unison (anywhere from 6 to 12 voices), put 120hz and below in mono using the Ableton utility tool. You can use two oscillators as well. Hope this helps guys!
I think John’s talent really shines when he is discovering others talent, collaborating and polishing, keeping things simple but absolutely perfecting. Whether with vocalists or other artists he’s signing to his record label, he is really keeping the bangers coming in the most epic way. And the vibe curation at his shows of course go absolutely DUMMY (been to 4 of his shows as of yesterday and counting 😂)
Love it! Trance has influenced most ot todays music. But you have a lot of people twist themselves into a pretzel to discount it. I.e. "melodic techno"
John seems really chilled and has a simple yet captive style to his music. I got my daw and keys so when I lock into my zone and build my music we shall share a stage one day.
I thought this guy was a douche but seems to be nice guy and I like that you can tell he actually makes his music and doesn’t use a ghost producer to play pretend also shows his process and doesn’t gate keep. Well done
I love how organized his desktop is

Lol
i thought it was a wallpaper lolol
Looks about as organized as my high school backpack lol

Acraze had do it to it and he blew him up but do you think he took advantage of the exposure the same way summit did with hit after hit?

The end of the video is so cool, seems like a down to earth guy who reached his dreams. Makes you root for him.
Absolutely. They guy seems super nice and cool. Huge respect!
I love how simple Johns productions are
When you have powerhouse vocals like that you don’t need to do much lol
simple is almost definitely always better. hayla's vocals carry this track though, no doubt - rave adele never misses

You didn’t stop smiling the entire time! You can tell you love what you do!
Hayla just has this amazing control over her voice, she's insane for that, love her!
Love it when John and Hayla bring something new
It's incredible the way John's songs are made. I'm very proud of him. He's grown a lot over the years and he deserves it.
I want John's desktop as a wallpaper

I love when artist do these videos and you get to see how these songs get made. This song is brilliant.

So incredibly insightful! Awesome to pull back the curtain and see this breakdown 🙌🏼
Keep killing it bro!! Getting me into producing myself and you motivate me!
Love how humble he is!
He still mainly uses stock plug ins from ableton. Crazy and inspiring
Wish more artist would open their sessions
Those desktop files tho...
😂
he's not gonna run out of ideas, period.
Some of the best artists are sometime also the messiest. They have so many ideas lol. They're focus on generating ideas rather than being organized.
you want to mess him up? move shit around lol.
Comfort in chaos 😶🌫️
this is so nice to see how an artists develops his tracks, very inspiring
Great tune...simple production. all it takes.
this is a gold mine of knowledge for aspiring producers. john is a chad.

this is AMAZINNGGG !!!!

beautiful song and breakdown
What I notice is that he uses very simple sounds, that all together, and in cooperation with the melodie, sound very good.
Dude’s a genius in a different way… i love his comment @ 3:52 cause i miss that trance melodic euphoric sound from 20yrs ago too
‘Mastering is just making every thing louder’ Such a true statement 😂
That Macook desktop is hilarious. Total chaos !
man he's such a great producer it's crazy
I love this!!!
I knew this guy is a trance influenced producer. i love his music.
thats incredible that hayla can write that song like that from just a 4 chord piano progression
I thought this guy was a douche but seems to be nice guy and I like that you can tell he actually makes his music and doesn’t use a ghost producer to play pretend also shows his process and doesn’t gate keep. Well done
Obsessed!!!
Love it John ❤❤❤
Love this guy so much. Stock plugins for the win
i just heard this song randomly playing after some taylor swift and classic hits and it fit in so well- at a Goodwill
