So I just went to my Honda dealership were I went to buy and program the FOB for my accord sport 1.5T. At first didn’t want to do it and told me I would be liable to pay after they programmed the FOB to my car and it doesn’t work. Finally got them to agree, and 10 minutes later they were all stunned when it work. It was fantastic feeling to see their faces when it worked. Cost were 110 for the key FOB and 65 to program it. Thank you so much for this video and for being honest in helping customers improve the longevity of their vehicles.
Did this on my 2020 Accord LX! April 29, 2024. Still works, did mine at the dealership for 86 bucks + key fob was 50 bucks on ebay. Worth it! If you’re hesitant, don’t be!
Thank you, I did my 2018 1.5L Accord Sport yesterday. I bought the fob at Honda Chantilly, Va. for $99 yesterday and then programmed it at Miller Honda in Winchester, Va. they charged $55 to program, great staff!

I went down to my local dealership and they want $135 for the key. Does it matter if we get the driver 1 or driver two key? In my 1.5 LX I dont have programmable seats I dont think it would matter . What is your intake on this?

Hi everyone looking for some assistance. I have done this on my honda accord 2019 lx but only work after exiting the car and turning it off. I can use the remote start after the period but not later. Have anyone experience this problem? It only works after I enter the car turn it on manually and turn off the car. Than exit and click the remote start and works once that's it. Will not work when I come back later and try to do it.
I don’t think so. The original keys should still work with the car. When the lease is up and you decide to turn in your lease, just give back the originals and keep the one you programmed. You can probably sell it after :)

Brandon Sanz fuck that. I would make the point that it’s literally the same process as programming a replacement key fob if you lost one of your key fobs. And I can guarantee it doesn’t cost 800 dollars......

Doesn’t matter. The key Greg got, in the other video on the sport, was a driver 2 key

When you remote start the car. How long does it run? My Dodge will run 20 minutes and then shut off
It’s supposed to run 10 minutes. If you repeat the process while it’s remotely started, it’ll add an additional 10 minutes
Now... if only there was a way to get rid of those disgusting LX wheels... LOL 😂

How this is going to effect car warranty?
Good question. I doubt it will effect the warranty because all you’re adding is another remote and even the original keys will still work.
