What model should I feature next?
How about the Carol-Ann Triptik? The high gain channel is pretty interesting and doesn't seem to get much attention.
FAS Stealth Blue !!! I personally have built all my tones around JM45, Spawn Qrod, and Angle Severe - They have all been covered already
I'm growing more and more interested in Fractal, and would love to see you use a two amp setup in the modeler.
@@joeleone6276 I did a Mesa/Marshall build not too long ago that turned out great!
Trainwreck Liverpool. But do not use the Dimarzio Dickcrusher, be subtle :-D
Leon I woke up this morning in a terrible mood. While gulping down coffee I listened to Ragdolls for the first time. Now I'm in a good mood!
This has made my day!
Dude, your free IRs are killer, we need more :P
So glad you're enjoying them!
Leon, Check out the Engl Savage preset adding an EQ in front with Lynch back 4x12 cabs running delay and reverb blocks with a low mix level on both. Sick 80’s metal tone.
I used to feel like digital was not anywhere near as good as tube amps. But Fractal has completely changed my mind! I am definitely gonna be saving up for an Axe FX for my studio. At the end of the day it saves money and space instead of the endless money pit of buying cabs, amps, mics and effects pedals.
Totally agree!
This model is superb!!!
I literally had to force myself to explore the 100s of other amps available 😅
I've only owned my fm9 for a few weeks and felt kinda silly playing the same amp everyday!!
You only need one great one though, right?
@LeonTodd
Yea true😅
A few eq tweaks and It covers a lot of ground
Loved the snippets of Black Flag ya threw in there. I've drifted away from Marshall stuff over time (towards Peavey & Mesa-Boogie). But so many of my fave iconic guitar heroes have been Marshall people I feel like I should give it more attention. Switching things up now and again can be inspiring and helpful in the creativity dept. anyhow. Thanks for posting these awesome tones and inspiring me to give something different a go.
you ever wonder how many people around the world hear your free IR at live shows? I played a nude festival on the east coast (USA) recently and your TvMix was heard by tons of nude ppl there. sounded great! thats just one example lol take care!
This has made my day in so many ways. Too cool!
Leon! One of the legends saying hello here from south america hehehe. Aweeesome video dude!! Hugs
Legend!
I've modded a number of Marshall 2203 and 2204 models for big players over the years and this comes pretty close to some of them. The most ridiculous over the top face melting tone I've ever created involved adding an extra cold clipping gain stage and a resonance control. Called them the "Mesa Killers."
It's such a great circuit to expand on!
I would love to see a video of the fractal plugged into the synergy preamp! I’m using that rig right now and I’m still trying to figure it out!
Great Ozzie riff with the great The Riff .. stuff those Europeans would love to be blown away nowadays mate . 🐈
i used this amp model live a few times, very in your face and cuts thru the mix nicely.
Makes guitar sound like guitar!
Would be nice to see you demo a gibbo flying v
I love the 800 mod much more than the standard version. You should try the modded 6505 model. It’s an idealized version and all kinds of cool
For someone like myself who typically doesn’t go for the Marshall tone, this is sonic bliss
Ah yee, my favourite riff, thank you
Will Def try it out sounds awesome as always !!
I need to put together a preset using that Brit 800 Mod.. it definitely does have that "thing".. thanks mate!
Go for it!
Every time I hear you demo one of these Fractal Marshall models, I have to sigh. Fractal have just nailed that, and my Helix can't hit that mark. Oh well, like Steve Stills sang, "Love the one you're with."
That new 2203 in the Helix is pretty fantastic IMO
@@LeonTodd I certainly agree. I use that often. It's just that the Fractal has so much breadth.
Recorded my last album stroadrash on this one. Can't decide if I like the mod or the new 2203 more
Leon prob already know this but man that new FAS Stealth Blue is amazing as mentioned below - Beta 27 - rock on Buddy
Can't wait to try it when I'm home next week
Your going to luv it Leon - cant wait till your home - have fun
Hi Leon. Great tone. I will explore this model for sure. Question: what level did you have that multitap delay on the lead setting? Thanks!
Around 30% mix
I thought Lay It Down was The Riff...
Boosted a “little bit” “ CC Boost at 24db!!
😁
A boosted 800 is the formula of the gods.
Truth
Hi Leon, great vid, just wondering if you build custom presets for people and if so what do you charge? cheers!
Yes, flick me an email Leontod@gmail.com
Hey Leon special request please mate talking about classic Marshall sounds go 2 Kevin Borich playing she's a lover on RUclips 1977 at a gig in Melbourne and tell me that that riff is not incredibly hard to play especially while he is singing at the same time, even up to the age of 65 Borich was a monster, I love all the modern players Petrucci Sykes Satriani & Co but KB always had something special I thought
My Dad knows Kev and always speaks highly about his musicianship. What a legend.
Cool, but I thought you were referring to going to be playing thru a real amp.
I can't get over how good the sound is just at stock settings. I have and AxeFx 2 and I would say there is not really a single usable high gain amp in it. I just went through some amp models last night. At least 30 to 40 of them. Absolutely useless. Even the Brit 800 Mod model is completely unusable. About a thousand times too much bass and hardly any gain. And the worst part, is, my friend also has one, and he has found the exact same thing. I am wondering if maybe it is a backward compatibilty issue with the Ultrares firmware, because I do not recall it being this bad when I was on Quantum 10. I remember having a pretty good tone. Did you ever notice this? Has anyone else encountered this? I think I will revert back to Quantum 10 and see if it fixes this.
LEO
🥰 yea that's such a great tone boosted, I can just sit on the unboosted and overdriven of that all day with my little drum/looper pedal. Pffft it should be called "Brett 800 modded"....oh yes, the RIFF has to be played, it's law!
🤣
I can’t use computers, I don’t know where to put one in my pedal chain of bad ass gear. I have never used headphones or a computers to play an instrument with
Cool story boomer. Go play some Cream licks.
