Jumpers are fascinating. Good to see these two appreciated their fancy new homes. I'm focussed on learning to care for my mantises just now, but may think about another P. regius after them.
They are indeed fascinating! Mantises are too…something like the insect analogue of jumping spiders on several ways…visual hunters that appear to grow unite customer to humans over time.
I have the ‘two story’ model and love it for my little jumper. I have a bio active setup with springtails. They clean up all the fruit fly corpses. My only gripe with the enclosure is I’m not a fan of the branding. I set mine up so it’s at the back and I don’t see it all the time. The magnet snapping on with the lid seemed to startle the spider so I put it on at 30 degrees and rotate it shut, doesn’t jolt the container. Thanks for the content!
This is off topic of this video but hoping you can help me with a question. I looking to get in the isopod hobby. I'm trying to find out do I need a permit to order them online and get them shipped to me? I do understand that I would need permits to sell over state lines. I'm just trying to get some to start out with in the hobby. Would I need a permit for the species im trying to start out with? Hopefully you can help I keep seeing conflicting information about the subject.
Spiders do just know to turn right when you don't want them too!
Excellent Video! Awesome Enclosures!

Great question! Fortunately, If the shipper has the proper permit, you do not require a permit to receive them.
How big were the tarantula cribs for isopods?
I got several sizes, the smallest was about 5-6 inches long, the biggest 16 inches, I think
This is a male🙃
Yep! They have molted again, definitely males. I am still learning how to distinguish them when they are younger 😂
