It certainly wasn't easier to fly. Read the account of the American pilots who flew the Tu-144 in the mid-90s. The Concorde was a thoroughly refined product whereas the Tu-144 was rushed through development and from there it was doomed, hence it having the shortest service life of any commercial aircraft in aviation history!
You call me a troll on what grounds? Because I have a different opinion than you? Do some research. The Tu-144 stopped carrying passengers after just 55 scheduled flights. After that it was deregulated to a mail carrier after being deemed too unreliable to carry passengers. All this information is very easy to get hold of you know.
@odsall Unreliable? Well, also we can say this about western analog. I do think that is not the problem of technic, but the problem of human stupidity. They are (Tupolev and Concorde) two victims, two child that has not survived the war of politics, soldiers and capital.

@odsall Tu - 144 was the first!!! The first flight was made 2 months before Concorde! And then Tupolev is much more charming than Concorde.

@odsall :D Actually TU-144 is faster, bigger, etc. I would fly TU-144 much better! ;) Concorde is a nice plane also.

TU-144 was far better than Concorde. Could carry more, faster and easier to fly and low speeds.
