I bought a Traska Commuter 38 9:15 a few weeks ago. It looks like the Ocean to Orbit. I love it. It is super comfortable. I was worried it would be to small for my 7 1/2 inch wrist until I saw your Traska videos. Thank you for all your reviews!
I just recently bought the summiteer 36 in black. Beautiful piece…I do wear it everyday and it just works! Simple, though and versatile. I have not handled the other watches. But I like the comparisons. Thanks for sharing this video.
Hands down Ocean to Orbit for me. Peter Kotsa met with the owners of the company and was told the adjustable clasp is in the mix for future iterations. All great pieces!
This is the comparison we definitely needed. I had heard of OTO, but hadn't seen any video on the watches. I just saw the Traska at Intersect last weekend. I would probably go with that pick, because they're all just so well executed. Traska has really refined the watches over time. I'm tempted by the oxblood version, just because I already have blue SPB089 Alpinist and feel like another blue field watch would be a bit redundant. On a related note, their Freediver was fantastic. I loved the mint green, but my father loved the hunter green so much he ordered one a couple days later (his first micro brand purchase). I like the Baltic aesthetics, though I personally wish it was a touch bigger and I'm not fan of the crown. It's not terribly small, but just on that edge of welllll I'm not sure I like the proportions. It would be great on a smaller wrist though (say 6-3/4" and smaller), full stop. The Traska/OTO size is perfect. The WDA ad was perfect for this audience. I of course had thought of designing a watch at some point, but it was intimidating and I know there's a lot I don't know. I hadn't heard of WDA before, but will think about that for sure.
Awesome trio in this video. I like both the Summiteer (as a supporter of the OG KS campaign 5 years ago) and the Lhotse. I will wait until the Lhotse has gone through several iterations where all the bells and whistles are incorporated and all the items in my check list has been ticked off. I'm thinking Lhotse Pro with a SW300, 56 hour PR, quick adjustment on the clasp and maybe some surface hardening like the Summiteer has. Speaking of the Summiteer, Mark, do you still have the OG blue Summiteer from 5 years ago? Do the seconds hand from the 1st and 5th generations differ in length? I've been thinking of getting the latest iteration but would like to swap out the red seconds hand from my OG Charcoal Black Summiteer into the 5th generation model.
Good comparison video👍🏻 I like all three watches. However, I purchased the Traska Summiteer in Oxford. The OTO needs a slim tool-less adjust clasp for the money they are asking for
Over $1000 vs. the group of well under here, also a much more specific design aesthetic vs. the more traditional layouts scene here. So, although great, probably not as commonly cross-shopped against this group. The CW C63 Sealander would be a better comparable, while the most expensive of the group it does have some compelling aspects that would keep it competitive.
Id not heard of ocean to orbit before this vid (+ im an aussie). I dont like rhe name at all. Too long and doesnt appear to mean anyrhng ..while trying to sound like it means something.. If that makes sense to anyone other than me. Great job of comparing these watches..thorough with nice shots. Summiteer my pick ftr. Would rhe maen manhattan 37 be a contender?

Baltic Hermetic for me-most original of the three 👏
I would get the Traska. Great finish and harness coating plus classic design.

All very fine watches and decently priced.
