and guess what? this is literally a remix of an ending credits of a game lol. (Touhou Koumakyou(japanese title) 6 (the 6th of touhou series) : Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. its an old game.
to me honestly, it sounds like the song that plays where a video game character who finally defeated the antagonist who took almost everything from him can finally go somewhere he can call home with the few people that still stand with him.
3 minutes to hear the main melody start, and just when you think its about to end, it goes on for another 3. not checking the duration before playing this map in osu was quite the adventure.

touhou is fucking awesome , holy shit. Well not to be unfair, Demetori is awesome. I just love how something as small as touhou created something so huge as all the wonderful music there is on the net thanks to it. I would have killed myself if i didnt know about touhou. There are so many good pieces and this is 1 of them. You should try listening it with full sound while youre all alone w/ your eyes closed, magical
If, someday, one friend asks me which is my favourite touhou arrangement and the one I'd recommend as a way to introduce oneself into the musical aspect of the fandom, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment sharing this piece of art. The ammount of detail, emotion and care compressed into these 11 minutes is simply outstanding, not to mention the fact that all of this comes from a melody no longer than 2 minutes. Just close your eyes, put your headphones on and let your consciousness flow through this journey of a song.
this song is so fucking beautiful, i cant fucking explain it. this entire series has brought so many people together, and created so many amazing things for the newer fans to enjoy. nearly 26 years of danmaku, songs, and characters, all still here for the people who follow the work of the absolute madman, ZUN. thank you dude, for uploading this cover, and if you are still out there, i hope you see this, and have a nice day.
I've been listening to this song for 11 years. I don't know why, but whenever I listen to this song, I have happy memories with my friends and I feel sad at my high school graduation. It reminds me of a lot of old memories
When Zun eventually sails the river styx with Komachi, this shall be my personal tribute song for all his work. Imagining all the 2hu characters having a big send off party in Reimu's Shrine from 9:30 onwards.
In my opinion, this is Demetori's grand masterpiece and nothing ever since can come close to it. Don't get me wrong, being a Demetori fan myself I enjoy each and every one of their albums and I desire for more. But Sinen? Sinen is just, for the lack of better word, _magical._ Very hauntingly _magical._ And its magic isn't the kind that can be easily replicated or reproduced, it's just... there.
It's especially so strange because, listening to this, and to their other works, they sound nothing alike yet still all perfectly encapsulate their sound. It's so weird.
Well I've done some digging in terms of stuff that touches on this genre. There's porcupine tree, hawkwind, amplifier. More metal and modern would be something like Elder.
Though they are some heavier, I'd recommend Counterparts with songs like (You Think You're) John Fucking Locke, Decay, Tragedy, To The Grave, Soil, and Cursed
It is beautiful, there is no doubt about it, it feels like the beginning of something new, a new adventure after having perished in something horrible before, a new world to discover where one's own Problems seem null and some enjoyment compared to the above and practically being free (or at least that's how I feel X'D) (It's cringe my speech ikr)
Well, I'm not sure about how similar they are, but I know a couple bands that also remix Touhou music: Crows's Claw IOSYS (some of them are more rock-ish, while some of them are the stereotypical weird songs from Japan. Some examples of the rock-ish ones are Sparking Slash and Gorgeous Guardian) xi-on
This is the kind of song that would be played after someone dies in a movie and it fades to the credits.
I want this song to be played at my funeral.
and guess what? this is literally a remix of an ending credits of a game lol. (Touhou Koumakyou(japanese title) 6 (the 6th of touhou series) : Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. its an old game.

They just turned a song that's 2 minutes long at most into an almost 11 minute song, and an extremely good one too. mad respect to Demetori.
I was ready to click out of the video before reading your comment. I was almost like "Damn, an upload, let's look for another one"
Absolutely incredible. So glad this cover exists
It's astounding, really, how talented they are. I adore their music.
What even happened to yhem
And now they did it again, this time with Peaceful Romancer on "It's Better To Burn Out Than To Fade Away" on their newest album
Goresh sent me here! I always wondered where this song was. So glad I found it
I was so surprised when I found out that it was only 2 people in this band. And brothers too, if not twins (as they look very alike).
To this day this song is still an absolute masterpiece
I find myself coming back to this song almost every single day, it's wild

Sorenkair oh so there are more people from osu! here, nice :D
Heh, I'm 3 years late, but when I saw that the map was 10 minutes long, I was hesitant to play it, but I'm glad I did. This song is great.

Every day, I keep wishing that Demetori will make another album as wonderfully diverse and beautiful as Sinen.
I really, really, really do wish another sinen happened. Easily their best
We all do, man. We all do.
7:52 is when my favorite part starts
The section in 3:05 is my favorite part, but I think the whole track is good

not only did Demetori turn a 2 minute song into an 11 minute banger, they did so at least _14 years ago_ and it's still a banger.
