So I guess there’s black… and then there’s black. Who knew?! 🤣🤣 I will say that I’m not a fan of the hyper holo flakes. I thought they’d be so pretty on a black surface, but I don’t see amethyst purple or even any holo. They’re just (obnoxious) flakes.
I had high hopes for you with the black sigh.... sometimes you really have to think hard about the trinket boxes and how they will sit. I knew as soon as you brushed it that was inside and wondered what the plan for the top was. It's a cool mold I'll be curious to see you use resin in it to see if the lines show up again.... I'd pour black resin right over the Flakes one and see if they look different.... they Definitely do stick to everything!
The colours look great. Ughhh, I done the same with my incense box, used a load of black pu resin and untra chameleon powders and the lid ended up black, I was very peeved! Love your tutorials x ❤
Got my first aqua cast this weekend and wasted half a big tube of black acrylic paint and all i got was a mid-grey ... glad i found your channel, i'll have to find something similar to this concrete pigment. Liked and subbed :)
Oh I feel your lack-of-black pain 🖤 this is definitely a downfall for what is otherwise an awesome casting product. Because I’m in the US and getting items from Eli-chem in the UK is pricey, I still haven’t tried their black colorant. I hope you find the magic black!!
@@LuxindasOtherObsessionsApparently iron oxide might work, it does for concrete. I have a bag of iron oxide from my days of making custom magnets, just have to find it now.
Looking on Amazon uk, it looks like most of the black colourants for concrete are in powder form ( Iron Oxide Pigment - Black Powder Color Pigment for Concrete, Cement, Mortar, Grout, Plaster, Colorant, Pigment (0.22lb, Black) amzn.eu/d/3m65QcP ). However, you can get a black dye specifically for Aqua Cast and Hydroflow directly from eli-chem, the manufacturer of Aqua Cast. www.elichem.co.uk/art-resin-pigments-and-powders/resi-tint-acrylic-art-pigment Hope this helps!
I have tried loads of different 'black' pigments and had no success. I contacted Eli Chem and asked them for advice. I was told no pigment could turn it really black, because the product is so white. I wish I had contacted them first, before I contacted various sellers on a well known site, who told me their pigments would produce a 'rich black' I really did waste money trying to achieve black. 😢 x

Lol, yeah, I clearly gave the trinket box mold no thought at all… absolutely none. 🤣🤣

Thank you! It's just one of those "so obvious!" things that wasn't obvious at all 🤣🤣
Looks like you finally got close to black!! 50 shades of black!! Lol
Right?? Who knew there were so many levels of black 🤔🤣
You are soooo funny. I love it, and your amazing videos.

You can get black from polysil in the uk and mix the pigment with the water or acrylic first x
Stickles?
Oh man it's still not black :(
Did you see Louise singleton’s latest video on black for aqua cast?
