    That’s a great review. You’re right. They have gotten pretty expensive. We got ours in 2019 on Black Friday. It’s an etrailer one and we for a great deal. Can’t remember now what wattage ours is. Believe 3200. But we don’t have water heater. But it does great running our portable ac and coffee pot at the same time. Does well running ac and roaster oven or our table top electric stove. It’s great. Ours is pretty quiet. Though it always sounds louder on video and some have made snide comments that it’s very loud. It really isn’t. And we tend to keep it in the back of the truck to cut down even more on the sound. We’ve used ours during power outage too. Haha we aren’t name brand peeps either. I love that you’re frugal. Jessie is extremely frugal on most things. Really nice review. Predator was actually one of the gens we looked at. Probably would have had one if not for the etrailer one going on sale.

      Yeah ours ran pretty much everything without a hiccup or problems, when rose purchased it it was on sale I think it was $100 off the regular price, me personally I couldn't make up my decision on which one I was going to get and rose got tired of listening to me and just went out and purchased the harbor freight, thank you for the compliment and I truly always look forward to your comments thank you so very much and have a great week guys

      Under a full load running everything in the RV we've been lasting about 9 hours if not a little longer on one tank, I hope this answers your question have a good day

    I have a onboard Cummins Onan generator with my trailer. But I am currently looking for a power inverter to convert battery power to 110 when not connected to power. I also have a solar panels on my roof.

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  Год назад

      We are definitely not glampers but we also don't find ourselves boondocking as much as we would like we are more of state parks national parks that have electric hookups, we had thought of getting solar panels when we start boondocking more often, that's when we can justify the expense of installing solar panels on our roof, but until then the generator has worked out for us extremely well when we are boondocking, we would love to go solar sounds like when we are ready I need to contact you answer my ideas, James-bo1uu, once again I wanna thank you for commenting and your ideas hopefully we talk more often

    Based on your experience you can run pretty much everything but can’t run the microwave and water heater? I don’t see those two usually running at the same time for most people. Sounds like it’s a great system. Predator just came out with a 5000 watt for $100 more than the 3500. I Might consider going that route.

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  Год назад

      Yes you're correct it does run everything but the microwave and water heater, it will run the water heater and the microwave as long as you don't have a bunch of stuff on at the same time, also when we use it we put the water heater on gas and just use the microwave when the AC is not on, I hope this helps you on your decision and let us know which one you decide to go with, thank you for commenting

      @@XxbrandonxX234 yes mine has two AC's, I've never tried to run both a/c with the generator I believe it would if you installed soft starts on your AC's

      @@RVFieldTrip okay then, you seal yourself up in an air conditioned Rv with your generator running for everyone else around you forced to listen to it drone on….that is somehow friendly? Don’t set up next to me. Don’t do it.
