$22 First Class On Korea's Fastest Bullet Train - KTX Train Korea
Today, I am leaving Seoul and travel to another place in Korea. The city where I am heading to is not a touristy town at all. There are only 2 hotels available on booking or agoda, but I am still very excited to go there. This is my first time taking a train in Korea and my first time to really leave the Seoul area. Join me on the journey in Korea's bullet train, which is the fastest of the country. Korean bullet trains are quite famous and are popular high-speed trains. But how good and comfortable is a ride with them? Let's find out!

I think he is very satisfied with the city, he said that the city is beautifully constructed and, which is unusual for Korean cities, full of greenery. he said that he does not expect a tourist offer because the city is new. But the city is beautifully arranged and full of greenery and still surrounded by greenery definitely has a future as a super modern city to live in.

13:40 Sorry you couldn't find the entrance but the sign on the 1st floor just before you took the elevator that only went up to the 3rd floor, showed a map of where you were, and where the hotel entrance was. It was showing you how to get to the hotel entrance. It is not a touristy city so you shouldn't expect English signs. Next time recommend using google photo translator to see Korean signs in English. Really enjoy watching your videos and I hope you have a wonderful time in Korea😊

13:29 15:25 To the left of the elevator button, there is a Korean sign indicating that the restaurant is only open up to the 3rd floor. The entrance and elevator appear to have been used only on the restaurant floor. Because Sejong City is the administrative capital, not many foreign tourists visit, so it may not be fun for tourists. Still, it's a well-planned, clean, and quiet city, so I hope you'll have a new adventure.

    Guten tag. Herr ken.
The first elevator you saw had a sign indicating a private entrance to the hotel, but it was in Korean so you couldn't recognize it.
There were directions everywhere, but they were all in Korean so I guess you didn't recognize them. In my opinion it is clearly a lack of consideration from the hotel.
In Korea, since the 2000s, mixed residential and commercial buildings in one building have become popular.
In these complex buildings, the separation of residential and commercial areas was considered very important, and architectural elements such as separate entrances and restricted movement between each other were added.
It is very likely that this is the reason why you cannot go upwards from the commercial area on the 3rd floor.
9:00 / The bus card you purchased cost 4,000 won. Perhaps you paid 10,000 won at a convenience store, and the clerk was charged 6,000 won put in you card. After then you paid 2,000 won for bus.
Also, please check if there is a purple mark called [T-money] on the card. If it has the mark, the card can be used on public transportation nationwide.
You can charge mileage to the card at a convenience store and use it. In most taxis equipped with a payment module (even machines like the subway vending machine that refused you on the first day), you can pay by tagging your card.
I really enjoy your travel videos.
If you are staying in Korea for an extended period of time and exploring the normal areas of life rather than big cities or tourist destinations, communication will often be an issue.
If you have time, I recommend learning [Hangul]. Even if you don't know the meaning of a word, just a few hours are enough to simply memorize and learn the alphabet.
These days, Korean often uses pronunciation of foreign languages directliy. If you could read the word [호텔(hotel)], you would have been able to find the hotel lobby more easily.
I will continue to follow your journey. ^^b

It is so interesting that tourists went to Sejong City. Foreigners who go to Sejong City will mostly be people to perform official duties related to the Korean government. Therefore, most of the hotels in Sejong City are only used by Koreans. If a foreigner uses it, a Korean will guide. Where you first wandered around was instructed on how to find the entrance to the hotel in Korean. And Sejong is the name of a Joseon Dynasty king drawn on your 10,000 won bill. It is called King Sejong. He is a favorite king of Koreans who made Hangul and achieved various scientific innovations. One more thing: Koreans do not travel to Sejong City either. You really seem like a unique traveler.

it is funny that you talked about it not being easy to find, he just smiled and didn't say anything, the other recepcionist also smiled and that was it lol. No one really cared. Why they would have the same information in an elevator that doesn't go to 4th floor. Glad you are just a foreigner with a good vibe that didn't press the issue further.

The train station is huge. Yr first class seat is nice n spacious. I was virtually looking for the entrance of the hotel. Shall wait for the next video on this town. 🙏🤔

Seoul Station is not that big because there's other terminal stations for different lines e.g. if you're traveling from south-west to Seoul, your train's last stop will be Yongsan - which is about 15 minute metro ride from Seoul. If you are traveling from south-east to Seoul, on the other hand, your train will NOT stop on Yongsan but it will stop at Seoul. Of course there's some exceptions here and there but that's the general rule, which was introduced to use the railroad within Seoul more efficiently.

I enjoyed watching your video and felt sorry for you when you couldn't get on the bus by paying cash at first and couldn't find the entrance to the hotel. The hotel should've put the signs in English as well. And Please don't expect all Koreans can communicate in English. When you want some information you need in foreign country, it would be better to ask in their own language. You always can use translate app, can't you? And I hope you weren't offended by the two young ladies' giggle when they showed the way to the hotel entrance. They felt a bit shy and they thought you were attractive. That's the reason why they giggled. So please feel complemented instead. I like your way of filming. very informative and down to earth.

  • @elekow7998
    @elekow7998 3 месяца назад +1

Please use a translation service like Papago. Not all countries require English to be used
And speak quietly when using public transportation. You have to know the vibe. That's the sense
and The elevator you took appears to be for building employees. So you wouldn't have been able to go to the 4th floor. Actually Hotel's only fault was that there were no English signs. There would have been no problem if the Korean instructions had been interpreted using the Google app. Sejong City is not a tourist city, so the hotel may not have been interested in foreign guests. Anyway, it's unfortunate, but if you think about it more calmly, everything happens for a reason.
and Sejong City is not a new capital, but a city where some administrative functions have been relocated.

Good to see you experience new things. But most people would easily use google translate but you seem to like to walk around then video it as if it’s someone else’s fault. Using google translate would have made finding the lobby quicker.

The hotel is a part of the combination building for the Hotel and Commercial Building, and you used the elevator for the commercial building, not for the hotel. There must have been another elevator for the hotel. Sorry for your difficulties and hard time for carrying the luggage. There elevators are intentionally separated so that the hotel guests should not interfere into the residential part of the building and the residents should not interfere with the hotel business. Such combination buildings were designed so that the building can be used for multi purposes as the hotel business may be un-predictable.

    I don't understand Korean but
At 13:31 you can see the levels that the elevator service beside the buttons
13:39 the poster(?) has a map and it has a red dot, logically the red dot would mean "you are here" and the direction arrows should mean how to get to the hotel lobby
But tbf, this is after I have finished the video and had knowledge that that elevator was not the right one.
Anyways, I hope that you stay and explore longer in Korean, the people seems really nice!
Also, I saw a video by RealLifeLore ruclips.net/video/lmoZ_W4WjW0/видео.html a week ago that Koreans might be going extinct if the low birth rate persists but tbf I also wouldn't want to have kids if I were to be an average Korean. It's tough with long working hours when you can't afford so many things
