So this works by machine learning learnt from a data set consisting of example driving across the US? Would you need a data set of driving on UK roads for this to work on UK Roads? I'm eager to try but unsure about this.
From my understanding, it actually teaches itself on the go. I remember watching a news segment whereby they took the car to Las Vegas which had different road styles/markings that the Comma has never seen and within minutes the system taught itself where to be on the road. From my understanding it learns what other drivers do as opposed to learning what to do on the road according to set rules. DaCoda Da you’re kinda right. Only difference is now it is a set model but comma can add data to it to update it. Works fine anywhere that has clear lane markings.

Big G any difference between Corolla gas and hybrid? Hybrid torque is 71 hp and 105 it less than Prius. Camry doesn’t have sst2 but torques higher than in Corolla ! I want to buy a hybrid Corolla and don’t know it’s the same
I'd personally say go for the Camry since it would be cheaper. Not really worth it to buy a car brand new unless its something like a Tesla where depreciation isn't as big of a deal.
I really want OpenPilot 0.6. I want to buy Chevy Malibu 2016, I know 2017 is suppose to support. Anyone knows if 2016 will support, tight on budget , looking for cheapest car that support Openpiolet ? I guess I can buy the kit and try it, unfortunately Comma AI don't have customer support team;
2016 is not supported and and any Malibu you buy needs to have the adaptive cruise option. Also, you will need to have a custom giraffe made which is not easy. I'd get a 2017+ Prius, Corolla or Rav4
How often do you need to interfere the wheel to keep self driving? My 2019 corolla requires touching wheel every 2 or 3 minutes. Self driving will be canceled if not doing anything.

I love how at 1:40 the corolla is driving next to a $50,000 tesla, while doing near the same self driving, but for under $1,000 and some DYI.
+ the cost of the corolla.

When will 0.6 be available in Git branch of release2?
Any new capabilities or features, or is this just a demo with a new vehicle?
yes new model, goes through intersections, avoids off ramp turn offs takes much tighter curves of you car has the torque to steer the wheel that far.

Make a video of a slightly curvy single lane road too please tssp1 vs tssp2
So 0.6 won’t require a driver?
100% will, still L2
Would this work with the brazilian Toyota Corolla 2020? The car is slightly different than the US model...
As long as it has Toyota sense 2.0 you're good
Why is Corolla 2020 better for self driving? Or not?? What difference with other Reported cars?
tss 2.0
what exactly is the difference in using tss 2.0?

tlchenvt it was driver monitoring so as long as it sees your face, you’ll never have to touch the wheel
don't forget to keep your hands on the wheel!
This is boring to watch, and that's a very good thing. Automatic driving shouldn't be exciting.
