This song almost never fails to make me tear up, especially towards the end where the music swells and then slows as I can see what was happening in the movie, in my head... and Aerith was probably my OG video game waifu. Your version of it here is beautiful, thank you for posting it.

Ah man, this brings back so many memories. They're playing it at a theater near me tomorrow and my friend and I are going because we bonded over this movie in high school. Such perfect timing.

I really love that the Town of Water theme from FF3 is hidden at the back end of this song. This reference totally went over my head back when Advent Children came out.

I love this song, this is really a perfect theme for cloud as he experienced so many tragedies and he blamed a lot of it on himself. So when he finally smiles and forgave himself it is very heart warming.

This is a 'majorly' important song to say the least! Your rendition is absolutely divine John Oeth. I wish the video lasted longer. I think that would be great to make an extended 1h version for people who want to have your music forever on their playlist for work for instance. Advent Children as a movie is only so-so in my mind (though I love the final fight between Cloud and Sephiroth) but the music is excellent. Great soundtrack. This is a very warming and bittersweet rendition of this track, fully captures the feelings of it, in my opinion.

hearing this NOW, brings me such joy and sadness. Rebirth is a few days away from release and I LOVED advent Children despite people's complaints about the movie during initial release. This melody is so signature Uematsu style. I remember first hearing it back in 2005 after Uematsu moved on from writing music fully for FF games after FFX when Sakaguchi was forced to resigned. This felt like a breath of fresh air and comfort in the movie and something that was sorely missing in FFXII's music.
There is a video on RUclips of this song using the PS1 sound font. I think you would enjoy it!

Just watched Advent Children in Theaters last night. I know the movie isn't perfect, but I still love it. One of many reason but not the only is because of it's amazing soundtrack
We saw it last night, too! It shows a little age, but it's amazing for what it was at the time.
