This may be one of my favorite episodes yet - love love love you bringing bees into the conversation! Pollinators have become one of my primary focuses in stewardship and looking forward to learning more from Benjamin Pixie!
Thank you for this video. As a hobby beekeeper with propolis on hand this was so helpful. As an aside, made a tincture to treat a serious adult cradle cap issue due to oily skin and an overgrowth of Malassezia fungus. No treatment , shampoos, fungal creams etc had worked for over a decade but within 10 days 70% gone and now 4 weeks later just small trace spots and new pink skin on the gent's bald spot. It was very visually unpleasant, covered about an area the size of a small bread plate and poor man wore a cap all the time. Tincture made using 1 prop to 4 of 95% ethanol by weight and a 6 week sitting , then filtered) applied directly with a cotton wool ball 3 times daily.
Awesome interview. I learned a lot. Benjamin is so knowledgeable and so willing to share. Big thank you to you, Rosalee, for your interviewing skills. I so admire the fact you ask a question and then let the interviewee answer fully without interrupting. Such a pleasure to be a subscriber! Thank you, Benjamin Pixie for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. Can’t wait to get over to your website!
Rosalee!! I wanted to just hear more about Propolis. I had mead for the first time in Virginia but with Propolis that seems so healthy. Thank you for bringing this to us. I hope there will be more. I will now introduce myself to our local bee keeper. 😉
So I actually PURCHASED propolis at the local Sprouts a few months back. Should I even bother with making medicine from it...? I feel like store bought is so inferior now! :-0

Wondering if you could kindly repost his tincture recipe.. I cant read it .. its blurry. Thank you
When you follow the link in the video description you'll be able to download a high res version. Enjoy!
Boiled the bees and scooped them out? You could taste the venom in the mead? 😭😭😭🐝 I had to replay it because I couldn't believe what my ears heard.💔
I must admit I really didn't like this at all. The rest of the video was amazing, but I find that just too much!
